Based on the extended preview that I have read, I’m not sure what I think about this book. It seems like it has a lot of potential, and I was curious to learn more about Daniel. However, I was finding myself a little bored while reading it. It might get better though, I’ll have to read the full book to find out!

This book has “THAT COVER” to draw you to the book, but it is the story that keeps you turning the pages.

This moves up the list of must haves. I enjoyed how the author compiles a story where 3 women form a bond after being duped by a dating fiasco.

Don’t just stop at the cover, this treasure has the potential to offer a funny tale with sexiness, romance and touch of mystery.

Loved this book in it's entirety. I was approved for the full eARC. Thank you Read Forever Publising.

I’ve come to learn that I really enjoy a good rom-com with strong willed characters and a little steaminess. In fact, I like the steam factor turned all the way up and I got a little bit of that in this read! Thank you to @readforeverpub and @netgalley for the gifted eARC of The Boyfriend Project by Farrah Rochon, set to be released June 2020!! ✨I loved that Samiyah was in the tech field, and I love her take on representation within her industry. She held true to her goal of setting the right example and paving the way for those to come after her. Another strong black woman character that wasn’t afraid to go out and kill it and maybe even get her some while she’s at it (😏💁🏾‍♀️😎)! With her new girlfriends by herside and possibly even a new love interest, we’re taken on Samiyah’s journey to invest in herself! I would definitely add this book to your TBR!

I have had this book on my TBR for a few months now and am even going to use to for my Pop Sugar challenge. I was excited to see it as a preview on here. After reading the preview, I am looking forward to reading it even more. I think I am going to love Samiah! I also like the social media’s aspect of this book. After reading The Right Swipe and Tweet Cute, I am on the hunt for more social media/romance books.

I was given a free copy of this preview in exchange for my review. (The short version of my review? I NEED MORE. The preview is just a tease, and I MUST know what happens next. Must. Soon. PLEASE. Sooner. Soonest. Please, oh, please!)

The Boyfriend Project opens with Samiah Brooks having her own traumatic event. She confronts her no-good, three (or more!)-timing boyfriend at a restaurant, and video of the incident goes viral. Ouch.

How gorgeous is this cover?

Samiah responds with empathy; she befriends the other "other" women.

She also responds with determination. She's going to focus on herself and her work.

And the very first person to responds to her with compassion? The new hottie at work, Daniel Collins. Everyone else has jokes and advice and questions. But Daniel treats Samiah like a person instead of a news sensation, and that just takes Samiah's breath away.

Well, the compassion and the cuteness.

And that's about where this preview ends. We know that Daniel is on a mission, but we don't know what that is. We know that Samiah has an annoying, troublesome work colleague who is BOUND to create trouble down the line, and we know that Samiah's new friends (the other wronged women) are sure to play a part in this tale.

Oh, and we KNOW WE NEED TO PRE-ORDER THIS BOOK.

I really enjoyed the preview of this book. I thought the characters were very relateable. I look forward to reading the rest of the book to see where the story goes.

After a video of Samiah Brook's heroically dumping her THREE-timing boyfriend goes viral, she swears off men for six months to focus on herself. Cue Daniel Collins, the new hot guy at work! Sparks fly as their attraction grows more and more difficult to deny. What Samiah doesn't know is that there's more to Daniel than she realizes. You'll enjoy the front row seat as their friendship grows into something (way) more. This is a fun rom com that highlights strong, independent women of color. Loved it!

Wow! I’m definitely intrigued so far! I’m really enjoying the writing style, and Samiah is a super strong and relatable character, I already love her! I also definitely loved that the three girls didn’t turn on each other at all, but only the jerk stringing them a long. And I can’t wait to get to know Daniel more! My only problem so far was that to me, Samiah figured out it was Craig on the date from twitter way too fast. That or she needs to have a very specific reason for being so suspicious so quickly. Other than that, I loved it and can’t wait to read more!

A book centered around a cheater that results in women getting revenge by bettering themselves and their careers? Yes PLEASE. Samiah is the perfect mixture and spicy and sweet. I cannot wait to dive into the rest of this rom-com!

Thank you Forever Romance for giving me a glimpse into this novel!

I was obsessed with John Tucker Must Die when it came out, so I absolutely loved the opening scene. However, I wasn't able to get much of a sense of Daniel from the preview and he seems very mysterious right now. Can't wait to read the rest.

Wow! I totally want to read more after reading the extended preview! I also have never read a book written by Farrah Rochen, but I will definitely be reading more of her work!

Three women find out that they are all dating the same man! They all kick him to the curb and decide to swear off men for 6 months so they can achieve their professional goals!
I can’t wait to read more of this book!

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the advanced digital copy of this book!

The preview I read from this book left me wanting more!!

It got off to a great start! I loved the girl power and female empowerment among the three girls who realized they were being played by the same guy. I loved how the girls banded together and stood up for each other rather than blaming each other (at last a book that reflects being a feminist woman in 2020)!

Another thing that struck a positive chord with me was the diversity. All the main characters and POC. The h, and the two other women she meets as a result of being played, are all successful WOC and I couldn't be more here for it!!! The H is also a POC and, from what I read, he seems smart and sensible! I'm excited to read the rest of this and get my hands on a finished copy!!!

This extended preview is lovely. We're introduced to the Samiah, who has just gone viral for yelling at a three-timing con of a boyfriend (plus side: She met two great friends this way.). We also meet Daniel, who's just started at Samiah's company, is drop dead gorgeous, and might be up to something. The preview ends just after their meet cute which is also lovely. There's coffee and emotional awareness.

The characters are vivid and I"m super glad I'll be able to dive right into the full length book.

I received a complimentary copy of #TheBoyfriendProjectEXTENDEDPREVIEW from #NetGalley

This excerpt quickly threw the reader into the middle of the action and sets up a plot showing how even in the wake of bad events, people can band together to find new support and use the situation as an opportunity to find and pursue what they really want. From what I read, it seems like this will be an empowering and heart-warming novel.

Farrah Rochon has given us a dynamic love story complete with complex characters, an engaging premise and enough heat to keep the pages turning. We can appreciate the challenges heroine Samiah Brooks must face after a very public breakup as she solidifies her skills in the tech industry. We also want to pull for hero Daniel Collins despite the secrets that could break their relationship. This story had great depth and I look forward to reading more from this talented author.

I can’t wait to read the full novel! This sampler was so good and I’m hooked. Samiah is a great main character and I am so looking forward to finding out what happens between her and Daniel. I’m only giving this 3 stars because it’s just a sample but I’m sure the full length novel will be an easy 5 stars!

I only read the first four almost five chapters of this book and felt it took almost that long to get to a point where I wanted to know "what's going to happen next?" I really enjoyed the fierce, strong independent, main character and her band of misfit friends who have been catfished and two timed by the same guy but find friendship. I would have loved to have explored where that goes. All and all I enjoyed the preview and look forward to the full book as well as what other books this Author writes!
Thanks Netgalley for my ARC
