Weber explores the different kinds of love that Jesus offers his followers. With stories and personal experiences, we are invited into the life of loving others.

You'll probably have to wipe a few tears and will certainly laugh aloud. Whether you are that person who is in need of understanding and love or you are the person who needs to understand and love those who are not like you ... you'll find inspiration and joy in this book.

Recommended for those who struggle to accept others. Or those who have a hard time being accepted.

Adam Weber shares personal stories about love and connects biblical stories to each truth. Loving others can be tough, but Jesus equips us with what we need to see, name and be with others.
Most of the tips in this book are ones I am already familiar with, but I appreciated the reminders. And reading the book helped me look more closely at the people around me and see if I am loving well.
There is more preaching than I hoped for, but I skimmed those parts.
Some of my favorite quotes:
Love is everywhere.
Love is a lot like a coin. It has two sides— grace and truth.
Jesus saw the best version of her. He chose to base his love off that best, not off her worst.
But what if the church welcomed and loved unicorns— people who are different— better than any other group, organization, or movement the world had to offer?
My opinion is that we already have enough “against” people— people who only talk about what they don’t agree with. I want to be one of the “for” people— people constantly focused on the positive things we’re for, not what we’re against.
Being “the one Jesus loves ”—I want that! I want an identity that’s unchanging, that’s constant and forever the same.

Want to learn how to love EVERYONE in your life? Adam Weber has lots of practical encouragement for you!

I enjoy the format of this book. Adam uses real-life stories of surprising people in his life, both the good guys and the "bad" guys you wouldn't expect, to teach us how we can both receive and give love in God's name to others. He tells personal stories with honesty, humor and self-effacement, getting real with us, and showing us examples from Scripture too. I love that as a fellow Gen Xer who appreciates authenticity.

For example, Adam talks about showing love to homeless people, homosexuals, and even sex offenders. It's what we need to hear in the gritty cultural days in which we now live. The church needs to get its hands dirty and truly show love to EVERYONE, not just the "nice" people. By the way, Adam even has a chapter on loving someone who is like a Pharisee, which I needed to read.

I read over 100 Christian books every year, and this one will make my top 20 list. I recommend it to start stretching you in your spiritual life, and inspire you to show true love to imperfect people all around you. You'll find practical, everyday encouragement in this great book.

I received a preview copy of Love Has a Name from the publisher.

I am 100% loving this book. I am cruising through each chapter much faster than I normally would read a book. The author uses the first chapter to share who Jesus is and then BAM shows us real people who are showing love like
Jesus. It’s such a fantastic read, not difficult or to “heady” with facts/knowledge/theology. Just perfect! Get a copy!
