Swipe Right by new to me author Stephie Chapman was a fantastic story that leans heavily on two of my favorite story tropes, online dating and friendship to love. Fran and Ollie first meet when they are interviewing for the same job at a media content company. There’s chemistry, but they are in competition so nobody is more surprised than Fran when she is offered the job and learns that Ollie got the job too. This was my first clue that Fran and Ollie are two halves of one whole, their work mates refer to them as work spouses. Ollie and Fran are also in relationships with other people.

When Fran’s relationship implodes, she decides to start an online dating blog for work detailing all the good, bad and ugly of these dates, omitting names for privacy. This book quickly pulled me into the lives of Fran and Ollie. I loved seeing their friendship develop into more than just workplace camaraderie. Ollie is supportive of Fran’s online dating project but shows valid concern when some of the dates are less than pleasant. Fran tries to be supportive of Ollie’s relationship with the awful Lou but is struggling with her growing feelings for him.

When Ollie decides to leave his job at Viral Hive to go on a world tour with Lou, I think I was as heartbroken as Fran. Not only is she losing her work spouse but also the constructive interaction and collaboration they share on projects. In addition to Ollie and Fran, I also enjoyed meeting many of the supporting characters who bring a lot of charm and fun to the story. We spend so much of our lives at our jobs, it’s wonderful when you can work at a company that values your talent and input as well as working with people that you hit it off with and work effectively with as a team in support of one another.

The author does an amazing job of creating a story that flows smoothly and keeps the reader fully engaged with the characters and the events unfolding. I paired the reading of this book with the audiobook narrated by Emma Carter. Her performance enhanced my enjoyment of this book with the nuances into each character. I am looking forward to reading more from this author.

My Final Verdict: Readers have so many choices when picking a book that might appeal to them. For me online dating and friendship to love are themes I am usually drawn to and this book lived up to my expectations. I highly recommend this book to readers who enjoy these themes too as well as fans of chick-lit, contemporary romance and stories that give them warm fuzzies and make them smile.

Thank you to the publisher, Hera Books, who provided an advance reader copy of this book via NetGalley.

I’m not sure how I feel about this one still. I liked it while I was reading it but I found it very forgettable. I did really like the characters and the story line.

I am sorry for the inconvenience but I don’t have the time to read this anymore and have lost interest in the concept. I believe that it would benefit your book more if I did not skim your book and write a rushed review. Again, I am sorry for the inconvenience.

Swipe Right by Stephie Chapman is a fun romantic comedy that will make you laugh and hold your attention throughout. This is the perfect light-hearted read for the beach or to relax. Fran and Ollie have an adorable meet cute and are a couple you root for throughout Fran's dating experiences. I actually love Fran as a character and would love a friend like her in real life. I think that she's so relatable makes the book even better and made me want to read and root for her more.

I am undecided about this book. I tried a few times to read Swipe Right but when it didn't capture my attention, I borrowed the audiobook from my local library hoping listening to it would be a better option. I couldn't connect with the narrator so I found it hard to enjoy. I gave up for a while. Then after months, I came back and eventually managed to read Swipe Right.

While I enjoyed the book once I pushed through the first chapters, my rating is lower because of how long it took me to read the book. As many reviewers have already mentioned, Swipe Right is like a modern When Harry Met Sally. It's an fun rom-com, adorable and an easy read.

Listened to this book and really enjoyed it. The narrator was really easy to listen to and I loved the story line. I laughed in places and really felt for the main character in others. Bit of a predictable ending but enjoyed the journey to get there. Nice easy read and would definitely recommend

Wanted to like this one, but it just lacked steam (as in pace, not heat!) and it was all a bit just doldrums for me and thus a slog through... Didn't feel any need or even want to root for a HEA for Fran and Ollie, which frankly killed the vibe for me and it was then reading just for the sake of reading the tale, not able to get sucked into it. Unfortunately, a miss for me

This was an amazing book with all my book boxes checked! I really loved the fact that they work in technology and use technology to find dates. I laughed out loud at this book and will definitely be reading more by this author in the future.

Fun and flirty. Stephie Chapman has written an engaging enemies to friends to lovers Will they won’t they story. Fran and Ollie meat when they are both interviewing for the same job. Fran instantly does not like Ollie, but when they both get the job and start working together they start to form a friendship. There is definitely chemistry between the two, but they are both involved with other people. Time goes by and the bond deepens between Fran and Ollie, Fran and her boyfriend break up. Newly single Fran starts to write a column about her experience with dating using a dating app. What follows is a cute story filled with right swipes, bad dates, cute costumes, fun parties, tacos and guacamole, pub nights, and complicated relationships.

This was a cute modern romance centered around two people, Fran and Ollie, who meet at the wrong time. Both are in relationships, begin working together at a media company in London, and strike up a friendship.

My favorite part of the novel was when Fran begins to go on a bunch of Tinder dates and starts documenting them for a column. Given the title of the book, I thought that this would be a much larger chunk of the novel, but it in fact showed up near the halfway point of the novel. I’ve read a few other books that use dating apps in the storylines, but this one was unique with the use of a dating app near the ending which I found clever and quite cute.

There were a few things that occurred in this novel that really bothered me - one was the fact that there was cheating, whenever this happens in novels it automatically puts me off. The second is the fact that there were some judgmental comments by one of the characters about polyamory that were not tasteful at all and also put me off.

A huge thank you to NetGalley and Hera Books for the gifted ebook in exchange for my honest opinion.

This was everything I could want in a contemporary romance. I am always here for a good enemies to lovers trope. Read this in one sitting it was that enjoyable.

It's funny how 80s romcoms are now considered classics due for modernization. That said, that style of funny, lighthearted, heartwarming romance never gets old, so a true-to today version of When Harry Met Sally is just perfect! With that premise, I was expecting to enjoy Swipe Right, but it actually exceeded my already good expectations. The characters were so relatable, so well fleshed out, that I became immediately invested in their story. This is a slow burn romance, and if you're going into this book for the romance aspect it might be a bit too slow, but as the story of a modern woman navigating her romantic life, this story is great. I loved Ollie, and I wish we had a bit more of him, especially at the end; I felt like all that build up deserved a bigger payoff on the romantic side.
Overall it was a good romance, but not perfect, and great personal journey story.

I had to DNF this book because I wasn't able to get into the story, and in my opinion, there was no real chemistry between Ollie and Fran

I thought this was a great book. Overall, it was a great rom-com. There were a few things that I didn't care for, such as Ollie and Fran's personalities, which were fairly annoying. However, it was a light and fluffy read.

this book was a dnf for me. Overall, it was okay, I just don't think it was entirely my taste. I still intend on referring it to friends and followers who it may fit the reading preferences of. Nothing was glaringly wrong for me, it just wan't my taste, and that's okay!
