Swipe Right was an incredibly enjoyable and modern take on the rom-com genre. I really liked the two main characters and the relationship between them and would thoroughly recommend this book.

Fran's first impression of Ollie is he is too cocky, too confident and always like to be the centre of attention. She was less than happy when she get to know she would be working with him at Viral Hive. But soon she realized he is the one who challenges her, makes her attempt to do her best and he became her work spouse as everyone else in office likes to call them.

But when Fran’s relationship crumbles, and Ollie sets off with Lou for a round-the-world trip, she decides to start an anonymous dating blog. She writes about the crazy and the most weirdest date she found on tinder. And her blog is an all time hit.

But what happens when Ollie comes back? Is there any spark between them? Or it was just related to work?

Review-

Author has perfectly blended the work and personal life of characters. This is an office romance and author has done her best when it comes to describing work at media agency. It is not boring or too lengthy but interesting, simple and crisp. I love the office environment in the book.

Characters are very well developed. You can see their dilemma, their bad traits and their emotions beautifully. Every character is very well thought and is unique from each other. You will remember each and every character of this book.

The plot is interesting and if you really like RomCom you may even finish it one go just like me. But my problem was there is no twist & turn or high & low or anything shocking. The book was kind of flat to me. And even it lacks in humor section. The dating part has so potential and I was expecting a lot from it but it just didn't satisfy me much.

I love the break up part of Fran and Lucas. I so wish there was a video I would have watch it again and again. But I wish towards the end also Fran has maintained that fierce part. I wish author has made her more emotionally independent in the end.

Overall the book is very enjoyable, romantic and funny. But the lack of story curve and especially the ending disappoint me a little bit.

I received a free copy from.netgalley in exchange for an honest review. Overall I liked this book. Fran lands her dream job working for a Buzzfeed like company but first must deal with Ollie who gets hired at the same time. They become work spouses after an initial difficult time when they start work. The idea of digital dating apps doesn't actually come into play until half way through the book. I liked Fran for the most part but Ollie rubbed me wrong from the beginning and I never really got over that impression. He comes of as an arrogant, cocky jerkoff at the initial interview and then all of a sudden we are told things are different know and Fran and Ollie are super close but we never actually see it. Ollie also has an awful girlfriend for the entire book which doesn't help and he has no real personality. I did like Fran's growth and development. Would check out another book by this author. 3.5 stars.

Stephie Chapman writes about the realities of modern day romance that sees the heavy reliance of media and apps to ‘meet’ a significant other before the dates occur.

Fran meets Ollie and they get off to a rocky start, when they’re both interviewing for the same job. Fran can’t help but secretly think that Ollie is attractive, but at the same time frustratingly obnoxious and full of himself. He is everything she avoids in a man.

Both Fran and Ollie and recruited by Viral Hive and they’re forced to work together. They get on with things and soon become friends - a dream team for their employer. Anything romantic is a no-go - Fran has a boyfriend, Lucas, and Ollie has a long term girlfriend called Lou.

‘Swipe Right’ is hilariously witty and the character of Fran is personable and brutally honest on her quest to find love, after things end with her awful boyfriend and Ollie has jetted off around the world, with Lou. Fran’s content for Viral Hive follows her anonymously writing about her dates and the possibility of finding Mr Right, but instead she finds herself writing about some real characters and their disastrous dates. The column really takes off and she fast becomes a talking point for everyone. Is this the way to find true love? Can she honestly keep putting herself through dates similar to the one she’s been having or does she resort to not looking and eventually find love the old fashioned way? Well, you’ll have to wait and see...

Swipe Right is a really fun book! If you’re a Sophie Kinsella fan, this is a book you should pick up. You’ll find yourself laughing out loud at Fran’s no nonsense, straight-talking attitude and cringing at the dates she has. How can someone be so unlucky?

A romantic comedy that hits the spot! It’s worth ‘swiping right’ for!

Not really feeling it. Not fond of the characters and the story line was just ok. Feel like I've read this before.

Honestly, this book wasn't for me. It was really hard for me to read and I kept putting it down every few pages. However, I think if I read it again at a different time, I might enjoy it more.

I was able to read this book after it was changed to a MOBI file. A review will be coming sometime this month. I have been on a blog hiatus due to life stuff but will be getting back to reviews soon. Thank you Netgalley and publishers for giving me the chance to read this book!

Such a fun refreshing read!! I haven't read a rom-com in ages and this one seemed to come just when I needed it. It was cheesy and clique and totally annoying at times. But, it was funny and all that was enough to make all the other stuff ok. I'm not always a fan of slow burn romance but the author's humor makes all the slow parts (for me, at least) fly by!!

Enjoyable, relatable and funny. I thought was a great read for a lazy Sunday afternoon when you just want an escape.

This is a brilliant easy read - the age old classic of never wanting to see what is right in front of you, and it felt very modern and perfectly written for the 21st century twenty-somethings, battling the waters of online dating and expectations of friends and partners with a demanding job. I really warmed to Fran and Ollie, Fran in particular was very well written and I think any woman could perfectly relate to the trials and tribulations that she goes through! The book does have more depth to it than I was first expecting, which is definitely a positive and Fran and Ollie became two characters that I was really rooting for. A definite must read for hot summer nights.

I loved this modern take of when Harry Met Sally & appreciated the friends to lovers trope that it explores (which is one of my favorites!) I have to say, I'm glad that I missed on modern dating (& this book helps make it very obvious hahaha) Fran & Ollie's story was cute & very timely.

I've been on a big romcom kick, so I think that helped me appreciate this one even more!

I received an Arc from the Author and Netgalley for my opinion.

This was a cute snack of a romcom but nothing too original. I think I had a problem with the love story arc in that I didn’t really think they should get together - too many things didn’t gel for me.

This was a cute romance. I enjoyed both characters and loved seeing their relationship grow throughout the book.

I loved how unique the setting was. I had never heard of the job the main characters applied for and it was fun to experience the ups and downs that occurred within the workplace.

One issue I had while reading was the writing style. It is very obvious that the writer is British. The writing had a lot of English slang/references. It confused me in multiple parts. I didn't know what the characters were talking about. Or who was talking to whom.

Other than that, it was a lot of fun.

A highly entertaining, light-hearted rom-com that leaves you smiling and feeling good. A very fun read.

Swipe Right is a friends-to-lovers romance, and it takes quite a while for our leads to realize they belong together. Fran, the female lead, is just starting her new dream job, with amazing coworkers and a fun office environment. Fran is also totally the wrong guy!

Once we kicks him to the curb, she uses a dating app and blogs about it. All the while, her coworker, Ollie, is there to support her and cheer her on along the way.

This is your typical rom-com, and while it is somewhat predictable, it is so fun and entertaining that you simply enjoy the journey. There is lot of heart, humor and lightness and fun.

<i> Shall we pretend, Fran, just for a few moments, that we don’t belong to anyone else?</i>

Story 🌟🌟🌟🌟
<b>This book is filled with many topics, like:
- how toxic some relationships can be (and maybe you don’t realize it or maybe just too late)
- how it is to date in a modern world (surrounded by assholes, sexist or people who objectify you. People who think paying for food means getting laid after)
- how dangerous it can be to send naughty pictures of yourself to someone
- how it is when two people meet, that could be great together, but it’s not the right time for them

But even though I loved it and I enjoyed it immensely I think sometimes there were parts that weren’t necessary and could’ve been cut out. </b>

Characters 🌟🌟🌟🌟
<b>Relatable</b> / <s>strong/weak
</s> <b>characters
Favorite: Fran (and Carlina, because she was such a good friends and so funny!)
Also: I was in love with the side characters, the supportive colleagues, boss, friends...</b>

Relationships 🌟🌟🌟🌟

<i> ‘A date you go on to suppress the niggling feeling that you’re secretly deeply in love with your colleague who ran off around the world with his girlfriend.’</i>

<b>Like I said this book had many different topics, that are all in their own way really important.
The book itself is written in Frans Point of view so we get to see how she grows as a person, how great or terrible some dating experience can be.
How she realizes too late that Ollie isn’t just her best friend or work husband.
He could be more.
But there is one thing holding both back: they’re in a relationship with someone.
So it’s not the right time for them.
But maybe, just maybe, the right time will come...

Also I was in love with the relationship presented here:
Those two had a good vibe, they got along perfectly even though they argued sometimes, they listened to each other, were being supportive of each other, had insiders and jokes etc etc.

To be honest while reading this book I was sometimes really mad or sad at both of them. Or at the world. Or at the book.
But I also was happy and giggly sometimes, so I guess that’s normal.
That book made me feel some things and I think when books make you do that, they are good books. </b>

Writing style 🌟🌟🌟🌟

<i> If someone can’t be bothered to invest in an interesting profile when they’re trying to make a good impression, what else won’t they be bothered with?</i>

<b>Character driven</b> / <s>plot driven</s>
<b> a bit slow but nice</b> / <s>perfect/ fast </s> <b>pacing
Like I said it was written in Frans POV so we get to see her grow as a person.
I enjoyed it immensely, but sometimes I had the feeling there were too many details.
But all in all I really had fun reading the book! Definitely recommend! </b>

Stephie Chapman explores modern romance in the digital age in her feel-good, uplifting and riotously funny romantic comedy, Swipe Right.

When Fran and Ollie first met, they didn’t exactly get off to a good start. First impressions where far from favourable with Fran finding Ollie to be vain and pretentious and the kind of man who personifies everything she dislikes in the opposite sex. Forced to work together at Viral Hive, the media agency they both work for, the two of them aren’t exactly overjoyed at the current situation. But as time goes by, they soon realize that maybe they had been hasty in writing each other off and they quickly realise that they can be friends as well as colleagues. Romance is not even a consideration for Fran and Ollie. While Fran is in a relationship with her boyfriend Lucas, Ollie is fully committed to his girlfriend, Lou. However, fate does have a funny way of turning things upside down as the two of them discover when Fran and Lucas’ relationship comes to an end and Ollie and Lou jet off on a round the world trip. One thing is for certain: life for the two of them will never be the same again.

Now single, Fran realises that she is going to use her current situation for an anonymous column about dating which she has started to write. With all the weirdos, pervert and misfits around, Fran has plenty of material to drawn on – from a tight-fisted cheapskate to a crybaby, poor Fran thinks that she has got more chance of flying than of meeting a nice, normal and well adjusted man. Just where all the good men hiding? Having heard every single platitude going, Fran starts to despair and wondering whether she will ever end up meeting Mr Right…or whether she should put all thoughts of romance on the backburner.

But is Fran simply being too negative? Is the love of her life under her nose and she is simply too distracted to realise? The time has come for Fran to stop thinking that modern technology is going to provide her with her happy ending and let fate lead the way…

Swipe Right is so much fun! A terrific romantic comedy fans of Sophie Kinsella and Lucy Vine are going to love, Swipe Right is a frank, funny and honest look at dating in the twentieth-century that will make readers laugh out, shudder in recognition and embarrassment and keep them completely and utterly riveted to the page. Fran is a lovely heroine. She is kind, funny and relatable and somebody readers will adore spending time with.

A romantic comedy fans of the genre are going to love, Stephie Chapman’s Swipe Right is a must-read that ticks all the right boxes!

Hmm not quite sure where I sit with this one. It was a very slow starter. It took untill about the half way point to actually get to Fran doing her dating app article and untill that point not a great deal had happened. By this point I had lost a bit of interest. I didn't care much for the characters. Fran was strong willed but a bit of a walk over. I did like how she finally took a stand for herself against Lucas in an epic way but Ollie just seemed like a bit of a pretty boy douche bag right untill the end. I think I would have enjoyed it more if it had been more about the dates earlier on as I enjoyed this that aspect of this story. Didn't love it but didn't hate it

This book is absolutely terrible. The whole premise of the book is meeting men on a dating app, yet the author doesn’t even get around to introducing that until about 40% through the book. By that point, everyone already sees the chemistry between Fran and Ollie yet you have to wait until nearly the last page for them to get together. It is painfully obvious that Fran and her boyfriend do not belong together and Ollie does not belong with his girlfriend Lou. He keeps calling her “his rock” but there is no evidence to support this and his girlfriend is a control freak who expects to be waited on.

Ollie quits his job, flies around the world with Lou until she cheats on him. This sends him home and we think he might finally end up with Fran. But nope. Lou calls and wants to get back together AND HE SAYS YES. 🤦🏻‍♀️

I can’t honestly explain what happens next because I barely skimmed the rest of this. It was complete none sense, terribly written and so hard to get into. I wanted to like this, but it was a disaster. Do not waste your time.

A cute story based on 'When Harry Met Sally' but now for the Tinder generation. It did take a while in the story for the 'Swipe Right' storyline to actually materialise but it was funny and relatable when it did. A good quick read though!
