I Left the House Today is a hilarious collection of the most relatable short comics I've ever seen. I was cackling the entire time!
I love Cassandra's art style, and her unapologetic peek inside of the world of women. Everything from periods and leg hair, to body image and the expectations we feel toward are appearance are touched upon. Halfway through, I was already preordering the paperback. I can't wait to check out more of her work.

I Left the House Today by Cassandra California is highly relatable, extremely funny and perfect for anyone who just wants to have a laugh.

Hilarious, relatable, sweet little collection!
Thanks to Netgalley and publishers for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I absolutely LOVE this book! It's so relatable and funny. The art is gorgeous. I'd love to buy prints from the artist or tear some pages out of the physical book and frame them because they're just that good.
"I Left the House Today!" is a fun, hilarious, quick read that's the perfect pick-me-up for tough days.

I have loved Cassandra Calin's comics for many years now, having seen them online many times so I was so excited when I realized this book was her creation. The illustrations depict regular day-to-day activities and incredibly relatable to the average person. I loved this entire collection, as it had me laughing constantly.

This comic collection was so damn cute and so damn relatable. It's mostly four panelled self-contained comics per page detailing little snapshots into the author's life, and I am sure the lives of many other women. I especially liked the comic featuring the chin hair, hard relate hahaha. The art style is awesome and so expressive, I loved it so much.
Would recommend to anyone who wants a quick cute read, this would make an excellent comic book to re-read when you're feeling down and need a smile.

I absolutely loved this book. Surely, now with the covid-19 virus going on, a lot of these comics were so relatable. The drawing style was so perfect and detailed.

I had not yet read Ms. Calin's webcomic or earlier book, so I just picked this up based on the title. There are days when leaving the house is an accomplishment for many of us anxious-types. I was delighted to laugh along in sympathy with a number of the comics in this collection. Most of her struggles are universal to anyone and many perfectly express the beauty frustrations of women. Her drawing style is charming, with black ink lines reminiscent of the 1930's. Recommended for fans of comics or women's stories.

I'd like to thank the publisher for giving me the opportunity to read and review this comic through netgalley.
This was my first time reading a comic and I loved every bit of it! I think that this was exactly what I needed right now considering how uncertain the situation out there is.
The comic features a collection of situations which are pretty much universal. The illustrations are so relatable yet creative and capture the essence of every day life perfectly! I liked how Cassandra Calin didn't hesitate to throw some shade here and there. And last but not the least, the comic gave me quite some laughs and I totally recommend it to anyone who's in search of something light hearted!

I've read a few graphic novels in a similar genre over the last couple of years, so I was a bit concerned that Calin's take on adulting and other challenges might feel repetitive. But, I was pleasantly surprised. The art style is playful and quite striking. The self-deprecating humour of the author also made this collection of comics stand out from the rest. While there is undoubtedly some repetition (everyone has a tendency to love staying home and streaming TV, etc.), Calin still offers a fresh perspective on womanhood that makes you feel a lot better about having days when you're just an anxious ball of nerves.

I LOVED THIS HAHAHAHAHAHA
Thanks to the publisher for giving me a free copy of this one!
This is by far one of mynew favourites! It was funny, I laughed out loud at times and it was the most relatable thing I've ever read in life haha.
The art was also super good! Like I LOVE IT! It's super pretty and really has its sparks.
The scenarios were so hilarious that I was laughing so often about certain pages. You know when you make a good comic when most of the pages don't even have words on it but you can just relate to it so much.
I'll definitely be following this author and her works because I ended this one and was like "Noooooo! I need mooooore."
Absolutely amazing!

Thanks to the publishers for sharing this one. I like Cassandra's drawing style, and some of the comics I found very relateable. My full review appears on Weekend Notes.

This was hilarious!I related to this far too much.
There were a few panels I didn't connect with, but most of them felt like she was reading my mind!
I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a giggle and/or emotional validation of your inner feels.
Much thanks goes out to NetGalley, Andrews McMeel Publishing & Cassandra Calin for my DRC.

Super cute and funny while being simple (also a very very quick read). I especially related to the expectations vs. reality sections, but I don't think that all of the stories are that relatable for example, problems with curly hair or being short. However, this is about the author's own life stories and so it's still funny to read. I wish there were more than a few panels per story, but they still made me chuckle!

Oh my lordy this was absolutely the best comic about everyday life that I have read and I want a physical copy as soon as possible! I don't often ever laugh or cry when reading books or graphic novels and I laughed out loud multiple times reading this one. So much of it was so relatable to life as a girl in her twenties and I think that was very key to my enjoyment of it. With the main character being in the same age bracket, as well as everything about birthdays, university, beauty, parents who can't use technology, relationships, emotions and more, this meant I was able to relate the comics to my personal experiences and I loved it. I would absolutely love to read anything else Cassandra Calin has produced and I highly recommend those wanting a light and fun read to give it a go.

I've been a fan of Cassandra Calin's web comics for ages and it's nice to see a new collection! She is always so funny to me when she draws about girly struggles, like taming crazy hair, the dreaded boob sweat and expectations vs. reality!

This was a very short and sweet read. I have liked the author’s online presence for a very long time so I was happy to have a collection of her work in one place. However, because of the format it feels weird giving this a star rating, so I rated based on my enjoyment. Its a really cute and funny collection of comics, perfect to just browse and reset your mind when you need a pick me up.

I found this collection of webcomics to be an enjoyable quick and easy read. I appreciated Calin's cute art style and ability to make seemingly mundane events (like periods or curly hair struggles) humorous. This would make for a nice coffee table book or something to pick up when you're feeling down/in-between heavier reads.

This is a fun collection of anecdotes. It spans multiple instances of things that every normal woman goes through regularly. There is no central theme, and it includes a lot of the artist’s panels.
I follow her on Instagram, and a lot of the panels featured here were already on it which was a little repetitive for someone like me but an excellent way for someone new to get acquainted with her work. This contained a lot more in the pages than some of the other comics I have read recently, and that is a bonus. It is real and straightforward to understand the underlying emotions involved in being that girl in the pictures. I would recommend this book to anyone who would like to have her collection at hand ready for perusal at a moment’s notice.
I received an ARC thanks to NetGalley and the publishers, but the review is entirely based on my own reading experience.

This was a fun comic book--I related to a few of the panels, but most were not as relatable and therefore not as funny to me. If you have curly hair, you'll probably enjoy all the hair comics! It's a fun & easy book for a moment of humor.
