I absolutely loved this laugh out loud hilarious book. Being an introvert, I truly related to a lot of the comics! Hilarious.

I enjoyed this webcomics collection, but I didn't connect to it as much as I hoped. Most of the humor depends on relating to the experiences, opinions, and feelings of the main character, and I often saw my friends in her more than I saw myself. Plenty of the book amused me, but since I didn't personally relate, I didn't feel as seen or as entertained as I do when I read Sarah Andersen comics, for example.

Still, this made me laugh at times, and my favorite running joke was the "expectation/reality" contrast of what clothing, hairstyles, and makeup methods look like when they're advertised, and what they look like on you. These were so true, and so funny. I remember having seen some of these circulate on social media, and I enjoyed seeing the whole collection interspersed with the other comics.

One detail worth noting is that extroverts shouldn't be deterred from reading this because of the title. Most of the comics revolve around general daily life humor, not a particular personality type, and many of the comics made me think of friends who happen to be extroverts. This should be generally relatable and enjoyable for most women, regardless their preferences for how often they leave the house.

This book is adorable. It is filled with cute, funny and relatable comics from Cassandra Calin. I follow her on Instagram so I was excited to see this book. The illustrations are simple and adorable. I mean yes I am also an introvert that hates leaving the house and can’t follow current beauty trends.
Thanks to Netgalley, Andrews McMeel Publishing, and Cassandra Calin for this arc.

I was quite familiarized with her art style/artwork but, when I requested this, I did not know it would be her, so that's a nice surprise. She is quite famous for the hole "expectation vs reality" thing, and we do see a lot of that in here.
I liked this collection so much, everything she put in here is V E R Y relatable like I've never thought "same" this many times before haha. I highly recommend this, especially if you're in need of a laugh.

Yep, I giggled. And whispered "girl, same!" multiple times. Definitely took my mind off of everything that's been going on in the world.
Seriously considering getting a physical copy when it comes out in June.

This was the loveliest read, especially in these scary times! Cassandra Calin's comics are doused in character, and her signature humour really comes through throughout this collection. The stories are very quirky, and Calin succeeds at making the everyday very relatable. I'm excited for more of her work, and definitely think this will be one that's posted about online a lot.

Absolutely hilarious and wonderfully accurate comics on the trials of being a young woman. I laughed out loud enough times that the neighbours looked concerned. The kind of laughter we all need right now

At first I thought that an author had quickly written, edited and published some work during the COVID-19 pandemic isolation of 2020, but I soon realised that she’s just another person, like myself, who never left the house anyway!

What a truly fantastic book. I’ve not read a graphic novel or a book of comics before and I tell you with 100% honestly this one was truly well received. The artwork is phenomenal and on a scale of talent i’ve never seen before, the stories and comics are relatable beyond any way I can describe, and it had me laughing the whole way through. Even my partner was agreeing how accurate it depicted our life and relationship!

A truly enjoyable read, something different for me, that got the author an instant ‘follow’ on instragram. I need more! Can’t wait to read it again and again.

Thank you to Netgalley for having this book available for all to read post-publishing date.

5/5 stars.

I've been really enjoying the comic collections of web comics that have been coming out as of late, so as soon as I saw this one I wanted to pick it up. There are so many of these comics that were relatable and real. It was so nice to see these comics which could take such awkward everyday moments and find humor in them. I also really liked Calin's art style, it's clear that she has a range when it comes to her art and utilizes in order to create her comics. All in all it was hilarious and so easy to connect to that I flew through it.

"I Left the House Today" by Cassandra Calin was exactly what I needed this weekend. I have been following Cassandra Calin's comics on instagram for a few years now and was delighted to see she is publishing a collection!

I was laughing and smiling through almost the whole book. These little snippets of her life are at times so relatable to my own. I feel seen, as a fellow introvert just trying to get by in the big world. My favorite part of her comics is how they're usually only 4 frames, but tell a story. This collection is the epitome of being a woman in middle class United States.

The timing of this collection coming out is eerily perfect, since most of us can't leave our homes. I can't wait to check out her first collection of comics!

I Left the House Today was hilarious and very real to me. I could relate to a lot of the first world problems Cassandra Calin writes about. Her illustrations are spot on. I especially loved the Expectation and Reality pictures.

Great for fans of Catana Comics and every day life humor. Coincidentally timed with the Coronavirus epidemic. I might give this to people on the day that we're set free from lock down! It's very light and easy, and a nice escape into a world where the worst that can happen is an ill-timed period or a bad hair day.

This was a really enjoyable read, I laughed out loud several times and made a lot of screenshots to share with my female friends :) the depicted situations are funny, cute, and most of them are 100% relatable. I liked the drawings too and even the marital-life-moments! I would warmly recommend this quick read for a good laugh and a pleasant moment overall.

Thanks to NetGalley and Andrews McMeel Publishing for this advanced reader copy.

I've come across Cassandra Calins' work on Instagram plenty of times and I always found it relatable and so funny! I stumbled upon this book on NetGalley and I didn't hesitate before requesting it!
The comics are simple and deal with everyday troubles as in the anxiety one can experience by leaving the house! Ultimately, I understand that feeling and this book made me feel understood and I can't hide I laughed A LOT to some of the comics! I loved the little cameos by her boyfriend and friends! Also, my favorite strips where the ones around the Halloween season!

It's one light and enjoyable read for everyone! My only problem was that it was too short! But then again she's always busy creating art on Instagram as well, so it makes sense. I'll definitely read this again and come back to it from time to time and if you are in need of some laughs, then check this out!

The first book I finished in May was a comic from Netgalley all about the author's thoughts, everyday life and the struggles that most of us can relate to as women (and humans in general). I absolutely adored the simple but hilarious illustrations throughout the comic and how relatable it was. The short and easy comic had me snort laughing a few times because it was just so relatable, funny and very entertaining. I would highly recommend it as a quick and funny read that I think we all need at this time!
