Rose, Dahlia, and Magnolia have headed separate directions over the years and have the opportunity to reconnect. Their Aunt Sassy has requested their presence for one last Christmas with them. Thinking their aunt is ill and each with their own set of troubles and triumphs, the three sisters head to their aunt's for a bit of a reunion and reset over the holidays.
Sara's ability to weave the multiple POVs led to a heartwarming read. While it's not December, I love getting the chance to have those cozy feelings for Christmas in July. My favorite of the three storylines was probably Dahlia's. I thought her character arc was both thoughtful and triumphant.
I'm very much looking forward to visiting them again in The Summer Sisters to see how their stories continue.

I picked up Home For The Holidays after receiving a finished copy of the second book, The Summer Sisters, from Forever as part of their influencer program. I have to read a series in order!

There’s nothing better than a holiday romance, especially when it’s filled with family and nostalgia. I loved how we had three entirely different love stories of all different tropes, and yet the book didn’t feel crowded with information. Despite having fallen out of touch, I loved how these sisters picked up right where they left off in helping each other sort out their troubles. I’m very jealous of their fairy godmother aunt!

The characters were very realistically written and came across as people I would love to be friends with in real life. That's a huge hallmark of a great character for me.

This is the perfect book to add to your holiday reading list!

Looking for a sweet, festive read with elements of family drama, love, and romance? You'll find all that in Home for the Holidays by Sara Richardson. This was my first book by her, and the first in a new series, which is exciting because it means there will be more to come for these characters, all of whom I really liked. Three sisters, Dahlia, Magnolia and Rose, each at a different crossroad in their lives, head back to their Aunt Sassy's Inn for the holidays. There's lots going on in this family, and the chapters are told from each of the sisters' perspectives, which makes it easy to follow.
I really enjoyed this one especially the small town Colorado setting and all the Christmas-y vibes. 4 stars from me and a look forward to other books in the series.

Home for the Holidays by Sara Richardson is the first book in the contemporary women’s fiction Juniper Springs series. The point of view in the book will change between three sisters who are all contemplating where they are in their lives. The series will also continue with the same main characters in the next book instead of switching leads like a lot of romantic titles.

Home for the Holidays introduces readers to the Buchanan sisters who have all been contacted by their Aunt Sassy with a plea to visit for the holidays. The sisters have fond memories of spending time in Colorado with their aunt at the Juniper Inn she owns. Those times were cut short for them though when their aunt and mother had a falling out years before so their aunt requesting a visit has them all worried something is wrong.

After arriving at the Juniper Inn Dahlia, Magnolia and Rose find that their Aunt is fine healthwise but considering leaving the Inn with things falling into disrepair and more work than she can handle these days. Aunt Sassy proposes the girls taking over and with all of them at different places in their lives they take the holiday season to reflect on just what would be the best answer for them all.

Home for the Holidays was a great beginning to the Juniper Springs series. I loved getting to know all three of the sisters along with their aunt. The setting was also wonderful with the small town and being Christmas time which also made a great time for family coming together and figuring out their lives. I’m looking forward to seeing what happens with the ladies in the next book of the series and returning to the Inn again.

I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley.

DNF at 15%.
This is not for me. I don’t necessarily think this is a bad read, I’ve just been trying with it forever and it’s not grabbing me so it’s time to give up. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the free preview in exchange for an honest review.

Home for the Holidays is a delightful, holiday romance and sure to be a favorite of readers who love a good Hallmark Christmas movie. Loved each of the characters and how the author developed them. This was the perfect holiday read to get you in the Christmas spirit. Looking forward to more from the author.

I started to read Home for the Holidays last December and I realized I never picked it up again to finish it. Women's fiction isn't my go-to genre and I think because of that I struggled with this title. I can see how others would love it though! DNF

Christmas Books are often my favorite simple love story. Home for the Holidays was a fun, cozy story about 3 sisters who are not very happy with the outcome of their current lives and are invited to spend Christmas in Colorado with their aunt. It was the perfect getaway and time to explore their lives and the direction their lives are going. This book is full of Christmas goodies, romance, mystery, decorations, holiday cheer, hot cocoa and the bond between family that is unshakeable. The depth of the character development and scene building was wonderful. I could almost envision the entire story! Perfect holiday read. Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this book.

Home For The Holidays by Sara Richardson

The Buchanan Sisters have not been back to the Juniper Inn in nearly 15 years. Their aunt has invited the 3 off thyme vfor one last Christmas.

I enjoyed this book very much. It was a well-written book and I loved all the characters. It was a great holiday story. All the sisters were able to face their problems and solve them. I recommend this book.

Thanks to Net Galley for sending me an advanced reader’s copy for my review.

This was yet another great Sara Richardson novel. I loved the way the sisters came together to be each other's rock when they needed that support most. I loved that they encouraged one another and didn't let each other give up on their hopes and dreams. And of course, I loved the sexy men that made appearances. The town was adorable, the inn was cute, and Aunt Sassy was wonderful. It was a really good feel-good book that was easy to read and enjoy.

I would classify this as more chick-lit than a romance novel. I'm use to reading her romance novels, so this one was a slight departure for that. My biggest complaint (and maybe it's because I'm use to reading romance) is that we don't really get that HEA you want to make the book feel complete. We know what their current relationship state is and it looks like there will be some new coupling, but otherwise we're kind of left to assume that later on certain characters will end up together. I'd have loved to have an epilogue at least that showed them a year down the road as they start their new lives. I also had a hard time remembering who was Magnolia and who was Dahlia. Rose was easy to remember, but I'd sometimes confuse Magnolia and Dahlia. That's the only bad thing about a book with multiple storylines going on, sometimes it's easy to cross the wires.

Home for the Holidays is a captivating read. I'm so glad I had the opportunity to review it thanks to Forever and GCP!

I think first and foremost though it is a charming romance, this is a story about family and sisterhood and I loved that unique spirit the book had!

I wanted to curl up next to my fireplace and just keep reading! I liked the story from different perspectives of each of the sisters and thought the characters were very well written. Highly recommend!

RATING: 3.5 STARS
2020; Forever/Grand Central Publishing

Home for the Holidays is not just a Christmas romance, but about family, second chances and secrets. Three sisters are going through some tough times as the holiday looms near. They each receive a letter from their aunt calls them to Colorado for one last Christmas. They have not seen her in fifteen years, after a fallout with their mother. As the three meet in Colorado they realize how much they needed one another. It was a perfect story, but I found that there was so much to cram into one book. I feel like this book was three separate books abridged to be one. I read that there is another novel in the series, but I am not sure what it will be about. I will be reading it, and hope it expands on the characters in this book. I feel like I didn't connect to the characters as much as I would have if it would have been one sister's story. I would love to hear your thoughts.

Three sisters decide to visit their Aunt Sassy for Christmas before she sells her home. They used to spend summers and holidays with her until Sassy and their mother had a falling out. Dahlia, Magnolia and Rose all need a break so the trip to the Juniper Inn is a god send. This is a great Christmas story that has family mending fences and re-connecting. A fresh happy story that is easy to read and enjoy. I received a copy of this ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review.

An old snowy inn at Christmas time? Sign me up. This book had the most perfect setting for a cozy winter romance. The town was adorable and quirky and the inn was dreamy and picturesque. What I loved most about this story though was the sisters and their relationship. It is so easy for life to take family in a million different directions, but I loved that the inn and their aunt brought them together again. Each sister is grappling with a difficult life situation and meeting at the Inn for Christmas gave them the opportunity to lean into one another and heal a bit. I have to say, this book did feel a bit like just the beginning. I would love to see spin offs featuring each of the sisters and how their new lives progress!

Home for the Holidays by Sara Richardson is a sweet, contemporary, romantic drama that will bring you some holiday spirit and share the value of family.

I always love Sara Richardson's books: They feel realistic yet whisk you away. She brings romance, family, friendship and life into a book that makes you feel like you would know the characters. This book was no different! It wasn't purely a romance, but it did dip in that department. It also wasn't purely dramatic either, but it had some drama. The whole focus on this book is three sisters learning to adapt to their changing environments: love, loss, family and friendship. It's one great book and I kind of hope it turns into a series so I can see more of these lovely characters.

Dahlia, Magnolia and Rose are relatable and lovable characters in not so amazing situations. They are all unhappy in some way or another. But, don't worry, they'll end up happy by the end of the book - maybe just not in the way you expected. Troubled relationships, difficulty getting pregnant and family secrets will flutter across the page, and by the end you'll feel warm and fuzzy about it all. Who doesn't love an uplifting holiday book?

I may have read it after the holidays, but honestly I needed it now. I needed the happy, go lucky, holiday spirit kind of book that this book provided. With all the insanity of the world going on and on, a book like this makes you feel that maybe there is a hope out there for a happily ever after.

This book is cozy and I highly recommend you pick it up if you love a good, sweet read.

Four out of five stars.

This book was exactly what I needed to read at this time of year. It was cozy, and sweet, and heartwarming.

Three sisters, Dahlia, Magnolia and Rose head back to Colorado to spend Christmas with their aunt after not visiting for fifteen years. They all have fond childhood memories of their time there, but when they arrive it is certainly not like they remember—and neither are the three of them.

Each of the sisters is dealing with her own troubles, soul-searching, or big life decisions. Dahlia is dealing with divorce and finding who she is now besides a mother and ex-wife. Magnolia is dealing with an infertility struggle that has been ripping her (and her marriage) apart. Rose is engaged to a man who’s perfect on paper, but she’s not sure it’s the life she wants. All three of them finally open up to each other, and are able to draw on sisterly support and wisdom along with some (often interfering) actions and advice from their aunt to sort out their own feelings and find a way forward.

I really loved the way the author created all of the characters and will definitely be reading more from her. Every one of them felt relatable in their own way and as if you’d known them for years.

I was also 100% into the idyllic mountain resort setting in the Colorado Rockies (where we lived before moving to Seattle), although it made me extremely nostalgic for winter wonderlands and the way small-down Colorado goes all-out for the holidays in a way that a big city really doesn’t.

There’s some heartbreak, romance, and a lot of sisterly love all tied up with a pretty holiday bow.

A Hallmark Holiday movie in paper format. Exactly what I was looking for this month. This could translate to film so easily it's almost like it plays in your head while reading.

This was such a sweet holiday read! I have 5 sisters so I absolutely loved the sister aspect this one had. It was more centered around a love of family and home than it was just about one particular love interest, which so many holiday books have. This still had those love interests in it, but made you feel more of the Christmas spirit throughout.

I was grateful to have been able to spend Christmas with my sisters so this book really was applicable to my life right now. We’re from a small ski town so this was right up my alley! Totally would recommend to any lover of the holiday genre, or anyone who appreciates the power of sisterhood and the heartwarming comfort of home.
