An awesome dessert book with recipes easy enough for any baker! So far I’ve tried the no bake strawberry cheesecake, the no bake lemon pie, and the best key lime pie. This is a great book for tasty desserts.

Great cookbook! Easy to whip something up from pantry staples too. My kids and I are grateful. We have a lot of fun making these recipes!

The recipes are easy to follow and deliver well in the end. There are so many books out there which lack the necessary explanations whenever needed, but this one does not disappoint.

I thorougly enjoyed the book and tried the recipes mentilmed. Whats mlre interesting is that they show us to prepare everything from scratch. The witty comments and remarks are the best part and I simply loved it!

There are a number of fun recipes to try in this book which are accompanied by photographs to illustrate the dishes. The eBook format makes the recipes easy to navigate as you can jump to the recipe from the index listing. Although the book title say that recipes take only 30 minutes to prepare, for some dishes you will need to plan ahead as some of the recipes must be chilled overnight before serving.

Since a cookbook is only as good as its dishes, I had to make the Almond Joy cookies first thing. They were delicious! Other favorites from the book are chocolate mousse and chocolate-dipped macaroons. Although the chocolate desserts are my favorite, there are other non-chocolate desserts in the book as well. I'm looking forward to making Orange Pudding.

This is a basic book with a nice variety of easy- to- make desserts. It is the first in a series of baking books from this publisher and I am looking forward to the next books in the series.

Thank you, Net Galley for the opportunity to review this book.

What a great little cookbook. The recipes include old favorites along with some new ones. I remember my grandmother making Scotheroos. The French-Toasted Angel Food Cake is just plain yummy. I found the Almond Joy cookie recipe last year in time for Christmas cookie baking, gluten free a real plus and a real treat. I still need to try more of the recipes, but they all look good. An added appeal are the notes and tips, very helpful.

Yes, you learn to make 30 desserts from scratch. To be honest, some took me (a not great baker) a little longer, but who is counting.
The online presentation of the book isn't great, the pages aren't neatly put together and instead spread across two pages with random photos in between, but it may be a formatting issue.
The great thing is that some recipes are not only fast, but also easy with few ingredients or with only one bowl – a lazy baker’s heaven.
If you are a good baker, this may be a little simple for you, but otherwise it is a good way to have some sweet treats without spending an entire afternoon in the kitchen and also learning a simple version of some classics.

A Fun, little recipe book of recipes that Grandma probably made! Unique 30-minute desserts will have you in and out of the kitchen in no time! A picture for each recipe too!! I loved it!

An Anthology of Thirty, 30 Minute Made-From-Scratch Desserts...: Desserts just like Grandma used to make From Scratch & "We Mean From Scratch!" In 30 Minutes by the Editors of Cake Chatter, is the first in a series called The Dough-Puncher's eBook Series. It contains 30 recipes for mouthwatering desserts that can be made in 30 minutes or less. The book is extremely cheap to purchase, and convenient, since it is in ebook format. There is even a link on every recipe to the website or blog that the recipe came from and also memes in between each recipe that are entertaining and cute.

Most cookbooks include dozens or even hundreds of recipes, but most of us only use a few of them. So, only having 30 isn’t a bad thing, since the recipes are of desserts that most of us will really want to prepare. Some of them are unique, like the French-Toasted Angel Food Cake, and Kladdkaka (Swedish Chocolate Cake). There are a variety of recipes for cakes, pies, cookies, candies, cheesecakes, and puddings, and frankly, there isn’t one that most bakers would shun. The desserts included look and sound terrific. The instructions are easy-to-follow, and are definitely suitable for beginning bakers as well as those with a little more experience.

Even though this cookbook has only 30 recipes, there is a beautiful photograph of each recipe which is a must for any good cookbook.

Anyone who is a dessert connoisseur will appreciate this book and want to download a copy.

Special thanks to NetGalley for supplying a review copy of this book.

This was a neat cookbook about desserts. There were several that I want to try and there's a bunch of more classic recipes in there.

First, who knew what a Dough-Puncher is? Or the definition of 'dough' that comes from Middle English? This is a fun anthology to work through, however I don't think the recipes are truly 30-minute made from scratch desserts - some recipes call for store bought items (cannoli shells, angel-food cake, etc.) but they're all great recipes and of course can be done within 30 minutes using shortcuts and some recipes list where you can get certain items which I kinda liked (Trader Joes/Amazon) since it does speak to a more 'modern' approach to grandma's recipes. #AnAnthologyofThirty30MinuteMadeFromScratchDessertsDessertsjustlikeGrandmausedtomake #NetGalley

An Anthology of Thirty, 30 Minute Made-From-Scratch Desserts is aptly named. This little cookbook contains thirty dessert recipes that have been compiled from a variety of sources, such as Taste of Home and Better Homes and Gardens, as well as from food blogs. The instructions are clearly presented and a photo accompanies each recipe. In addition, there are suggestions and comments from the source of the recipe as well as from individuals who have made the dessert.

All of the recipes are made from scratch, so they are fairly simple and without a lengthy list of ingredients. While I found a few recipes that looked tempting, many were similar to recipes I already use. This indicates to me that this cookbook would be more appealing to a less-experienced cook who doesn’t yet have a plethora of dessert recipes to choose from. For someone who is learning how to make desserts or is particularly interested in simple recipes, this book would be ideal.

Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for providing a copy of this book for review.

I've been adding to my cookbook collection for almost 50 years and have not seen any books as uniquely entertaining as well as educational. My Grandma was the cook in our family, my Mother didn't cook much. So when I wanted to learn, it was to Grandma's house I went! These recipes are definitely authentic home style cooking that I did indeed learn from my Grandma. The book is a great resource but it's also a very entertaining read. Don't just thumb through the index, sit down and read as you choose which recipe to make first. I think you'll find many that will take you back to a time when there were no microwaves.

Really nice collection of dessert recipes. Many of them I remember my grandmother making!
Has comments from people that tried the recipes as well as photos. Though you can probably find these recipes in other places, you would have to know the name of the one you were looking for...and this book has so many in one place, it just makes sense to get this book.
Highly recommend.

The recipes in this ebook are amazing. I have saved some recipes to try in the future. Some of the formatting was really funky and there were a couple that could not be read at all due to the formatting. This being said I read the cookbook on a PC and not a phone or a table so am not sure how the formatting would be on other devices. I was gifted this ebook through NetGalley.

A rich history of American cookbooks, and the contribution of African Americans. The first American cookbooks were written by white Americans using African American recipes. The Cookbooks originated in the South, and the slaves cooked for the whites. The contributions that African Americans made to the cookbooks weren't acknowledged. The book follows history of cookbooks in America from the beginning to the present. I really enjoyed reading this book. I never realized or thought about that authors/contributors. I collect antique cookbooks, and this has me appreciating them in a whole new light. I really appreciated the details describing the different contributions and how some things came to be. I think anyone who enjoys cookbooks and/or history will enjoy this book.

I do appreciate the idea of quick from scratch desserts, but unfortunately this book fell flat for me. It's not the recipes so much as the cluttered layout that made it hard for me to get through. Not horrible but not outstanding.

This book delivers on exactly what the title says it is. Grandma recipes from scratch that don't take all day to make. These are the desserts you will be asked to make and bring to parties or church gatherings.

This book is worth it for the mug chocolate cake for 2 recipe alone! But it also has a really good strawberry cheesecake that is delicious and a few cookie recipes I'm definitely going to make.

There are some healthier desserts too - a paleo one, pumpkin cannoli, and sweet potato oat bars.

You get everything you would expect - a nice photo, a recipe, and nutritional info. You also get reviews of the recipe which include tips for how people have changed things up. I think this was really clever to include as it's similar to a recipe site online where you can read customer reviews and adjustments. They also include a meme, cartoon, or quote after each recipe.

***I do want to say there is one meme that I thought was in poor taste

Free ebook provided by NetGalley in exchange for honest review.
