I received a complimentary copy from the publisher and all opinions expressed are entirely my own.

I first discovered Hint on social media and I have never tasted it (so sad) but I still wanted to read Kara's story. Undaunted is Kara's story about how she sharpened her business acumen, started Hint and the lessons she learnt along the way. It's past memoir past inspirational and a perfect read for those wanting to start their business as she tackles how to develop yourself, grow your business and trust in yourself.

Kara Goldin is a business / tech innovator and the founder of Hint Water. While I wasn’t a huge fan of Hint when I’ve tried it in the past, this book made me go want to go out and buy a case – Kara’s personality is earnest, hard-working, and growth-oriented, and the first-person narrative is relatable, inspiring, engaging, and easy to read while also teaching valuable business lessons about starting a company. I loved Kara and I loved this book!

When I saw this on netgalley, I requested it because I thought Kara's story might be interesting. I've had Hint water a few times, but I don't really buy or drink much bottled water, and wouldn't have known who Kara Goldin was without reading the book blurb. But the title intrigued me. Who hasn't had doubts and doubters?

This book is not really a memoir or a business book. It combines some of her life story with what she feels she has learned throughout the founding and running of Hint. I found her very relatable. She stays true to her mission and vision while facing many challenges; she creates her boundaries but also pushes boundaries. In fact, she refers to an beverage company executive calling her "sweetie" as an ongoing reminder, a push to do better than the doubters think she can. I have had several situations in my own life where someone said something doubtful (or worse) that motivated me to do it an do it fantastically.

I enjoyed listening to this book--Kara narrates the audiobook and it is well done, although a "professional" narrator may have paced it a little differently. Many thanks to netgalley and the publisher for a digital review copy.

Kara Goldin was on track in corporate America working with innovative companies and had quite a work history before Hint was even a thought. She was recovering from her fourth pregnancy and had an addiction to Diet Coke and thought maybe a change to her diet could be a good idea, so she started drinking water and plain water was just too plain, so adding a bit of fruit made a new water habit more than bearable but possibly enjoyable!

I listened to this book and I was so thankful that was the way that I consumed it. Kara reads the book herself and I appreciated that in her reading she emphasized the points that really mattered to her. I like hearing the author tell their own story and I was glad that Kara read it herself.

I loved reading a book about a woman who turns to innovation and solving the problems that she finds herself in. From flavored water to sunscreen, I was intrigued to learn more about Hint beyond their water and the behind the scenes of creating a product and then getting it into a customer's hands - inspired me to think about what I could do to be innovative in my own life!

Girl boss elevated. I enjoyed reading this book and it even inspired me within my own life. There’s a surge of books coming out like this but it stands out.

A risk taker who knew that there was a way. Kara Goldin's 'Undaunted" shows how she did not let fear stop her from going after what she knew could be achieved. Her eyes never left the goal. Her persistence is a model for any entrepreneur who is looking to push through their fears and dive in and make it happen. Kara shows how it can be done, even when told that it can't be. Thank you #netgalley for allowing me to read an advanced copy.

Kara has an incredible story of resilience, persistence, and the power of courage. She offers readers a look into not only how she built a successful business, but how she was able to take power over her life by doing so, overcoming fear and beating addiction. She's incredibly inspiring and shares her story in hopes that readers are motivated to learn from her mistakes and go for their own dreams.

Thank you to NetGalley and Harper Collins Leadership for a digital ARC of this title in exchange for my honest review. Kara has a gift of connecting with others. I've followed her on Twitter, expressing my love of Hint Water, and she's responded. What I thought was a genuine interest in her followers was confirmed in this book. You feel like you're sitting down with a friend who is giving you tips on your own career path, both working for someone else or starting your own business. This woman worked, literally on the day she delivered her fourth child. She didn't let the no's stop her from moving forward with a healthy drink alternative. The product is fabulous (my favorite is Blackberry), but the wisdom that shines through in this book is even better. #undaunted #NetGalley #KaraGoldin #Hintwater

It isn’t hard to find a book written by successful entrepreneurs who share their stories of success and the principles anyone can follow to achieve their dreams. But it is incredibly hard to find a book that gives you the full picture of how they did it from day one, along with all the nitty gritty details that budding entrepreneurs and business professionals always wonder about. Undaunted by Kara Goldin, the founder of Hint, is one of those rare exceptions.. Read More https://booksuplift.com/undaunted-overcoming-doubts-and-doubters/

Motivating, inspirational and absolutely unforgettable. Kara Goldin's (audio)book is the perfect resource for an aspiring female entrepreneur like myself, bur frankly, also for anyone looking for a healthy dose of "just do it" encouragement,

Prior to reaching for this buisness & career self-help book (and part memoir), I'd never heard of Kara Goldin. who is the Founder and CEO of Hint, Inc., who produce unsweetened flavored water called Hint. Her book is endorsed by such successful people as Sheryl Sandberg, John Legend, author Adam Grant and CEO of JPMorgan Chase Jamie Dimon - so as an aspiring businesswoman, I've also read a couple of other books published by HarperCollins Leadership lately and all were really good, so I had to get my hands on it.

Ladies and Gentlemen, this book is very good. Kara gives such innovative, useful and inspiring advice that while I was simultaneously reading and listening to her book (also narrated by the author), I was taking highlighting and taking lots of notes for future reference. She is not afraid of getting personal or discussing her many failures - something I truly value in an author putting herself out to the world. Each chapter is built on different anecdotes from Kara's process of building and running a business and is paired with advice for business and life. I highly recommend it.

I follow Kara Goldin on Twitter, which made me extremely excited to read this book. I love reading about women who start their own business and this book did not disappoint. Chock full of meaningful advice and motivation, this was a great read about an inspiring woman.

I didn’t read this book because I want to launch a business or product, and I didn’t read it because I love Hint water. Until today, when I decided I needed to rush to the store and try this, I’ve never even tried Hint water. I live in a small town and it has been hard to come by, and I hated all the other water brands I tried (too sweet or tasted sour and rotten). Wow, was I pleasantly surprised! Now I’m a fan.

But this review is for the book, not the water. I read the story because I love reading people’s stories, their successes and setbacks and what made them successful, and I love the idea of being undaunted. This was a great story. She explains where she came from, how she launched a business out of her kitchen, and great tips that could help anyone in any situation whether it’s working for someone else, starting a business, or even your personal life. It’s a cross between memoir, self-help, inspirational, and business. The story was engaging. I couldn’t stop reading and had it finished within a day. It’s hard not to know something about the water, but to know about the creator was inspiring to read. It doesn’t push the water or the company, but I’m grateful to know more about a product I have now fallen in love with. She’s a great writer, and it was interesting to learn so much about product creation and distribution.

She also talks about courage, facing doubters, and overcoming setbacks and fears. Inspiring and encouraging to see all the things we can accomplish if we just do so. Also great examples in how we should treat people. An interesting, all-around read that I highly recommend.
