So while I don't practice witchcraft I am huge fan of cocktails! I have always been interested by witchcraft and was eager to see how Hadas would combine the two.

Apparently for centuries, witches have been using spirits of all forms during rituals and celebrations. This book teaches how to make powerful witchcraft cocktails in the modern world.

It is packed full of 70 alcoholic recipes that are said to help with whatever you need. Whether it be for healing or to help you land a new boo. This book is a great addition to any witchcraft and/or cocktails lovers bookself.

As always, thank you to the publisher and netgalley for providing me a copy in exchange for an honest review

This is a fun bartending book that focuses on the classics of bartending with a seasonal, magical twist! All of the recipes are based on a classic cocktail of some kind, often with a few ingredients swapped out for a homemade syrup or fancy bitters. It can be intimidating at times– where am I going to find pomegranate liquor or lavender bitters?-- but each chapter only has one of two of these specialty ingredients, and then uses them in multiple cocktails recipes. Spring and summer have a lot of overlapping ingredients, as do fall and winter. I haven’t tried any of the recipes from the book yet, but it kind inspire me to get creative with a few of the more unique bottles in my collection. Included on Kindle Unlimited!

This is a fun drink recipe book for Halloween and all year round. For those practicing witchcraft, it’s a great book of recipes that are based on spells and rituals. For everyone else, they’re great drinks and it’s fascinating reading the background behind each drink.

Julia Halina Hadas’ WitchCraft Cocktails is a fun, well-written, and unique collection of magical drink recipes. I love the stunning pictures but I really wish that book had included much more pictures of the finished drinks as well as the various magical elements.

This is a fairly lengthy book that is packed with fascinating information and great recipes. However, I never feel overwhelmed because of Hadas’ approachable and easy-to-read language. This book is so fun and interesting that you’ll breeze through it!

The book’s first section features brief but thorough chapters on Alcohol and Witchcraft Intertwined, Bartending Basics, Witchcraft Basics, and Magical Ingredients. Hadas gives a brief overview of the long history between alcohol and magic. We also learn about different types of alcohols and the tools you will need to craft these drinks. There are also recipes for essential simple syrups and infusions. We also learn about magical properties like astrological bodies and signs as well as information on the tarot, chakras, and crystals. There’s also a fascinating subsection on edible elements which will help in making powerful magical beverages. Did you know that almond is associated with money? Did you also know that cardamom is associated with lust? I also learned that chili pepper can help break spells and that raspberry invokes happiness and love in spellwork.

The second part of the book is dedicated to a wide range of fascinating and unique cocktails. The drinks are mostly alcoholic but there are a few non-alcoholic options. This section is divided according to the four seasons and each seasonal section has a great little write-up. Each drink also has a short but interesting introduction as well as a list of the drink’s energies and an advanced magic section listing a tarot card or crystal to use in drink-making adventures.

The recipes are clear and well-written. I absolutely love the fun and topical names! Fall cocktails include the pomegranate-based Persephone’s Descent and the Prosperous Pumpkin while Winter offers the coffee-based Love Witch’s Brew and the fruity non-alcoholic The Witch’s Offering. Usher in Spring with lavender-flavored Milk Moon Beautifier as well as the flowery and spicy Beltane Bee’s Knees. Frolic into Summer with the floral and absinthe based Playful Fairy and the fresh Purifying Vodka Collins.

There are several lovely full-colour pictures of some of the drinks. I love the appropriate props. However, I really wish there were much more pictures of the cocktails as well as some photos of the magical items like the crystals.

WitchCraft Cocktails is an excellent and informative cocktail recipe book that will be perfect for any alcohol enthusiast, magical practitioner, or anyone looking to spice up the offerings at a party.

I loved everything about WitchCraft Cocktails! The descriptions, the pictures, the recipes, and the detail put into every recipe was just amazing.

First and foremost, WitchCraft Cocktails would be a wonderful addition to anyone's cocktail repertoire even if only for the drink recipes themselves. But beyond that, for it's true and intended purpose, this book is just a stunning compilation of well thought out and witchy recipes to stand alone or compliment any and all 'workings'.

I honestly picked up this book because I was getting into the Halloween, spooky season and thought a book on drink recipes would be fun for my friends and me to try. This book was so much more than what I expected and I am so here for all that it offers.

We not only get beautiful looking cocktail recipes but stunning photography, a brief primer or history of the drink, what it could be used for, and any "witchy enhancements" that could compliment them. There are also additional recipes of the non-witchy variety and recipes for drink components.

WitchCraft Cocktails would be a great gift for anyone but especially for those that are of a witchy or natural-earthy inclination.

I don't know what happened - I never actually got this book to download. It was never sent to my kindle so I can't really review it but it looked cute.

This is a fun interesting take on alcoholic beverages. Although I don't believe in the the power of witches, this is still a very useful guide with recipes to make your own syrups and shrubs for flavoring in addition to full cocktail recipes.

This is no simple cocktail book, but one to use when you want to up your game and bring complex flavors together.

Recipes are grouped by season, and the photos are very well done, I jist wish there were more.

Thank you Adam's Media and NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
