The manga version of the popular classic, Anne of Green Gables is very promising, fun and engaging to the readers and it is the most acurate version to the original. The art is interesting and gives us a great visualization of this popular classic. The story follows anne, an orphan girl who is adopted by mistake into this good family at green gables and how her life progresses. She is a unique, fun and a bubbly girl who gets everyone around her to like her.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this manga and i recommend it to readers who find reading classics in the novel form hard to follow and not so engaging.

Anne of Green Gables was my favourite series growing up, and getting to enjoy the story in a new format was fantastic. Very engaging way for younger audiences to pick up this story to read.

This is another classic book that I haven’t read and after finishing the manga adaptation, I want to read the original book. This was entertaining, heart-warming and sad all mixed into one equation. I loved the illustrations and I loved all the characters, even the mean ones that added drama to the story.

A very cute, modern manga styled retelling of a classic work! Anne's character design was adorable, while staying true to her original description in the classic novel. This manga retelling revitalized a classic in a way that will entice modern readers who otherwise may have passed up such a wonderful story.

This manga adaptation is entirely faithful to the book. It doesn't tamper with the story nor does it skip out essential elements as many adaptations do. I really enjoyed reading this graphic version of the popular tale.

Most of the illustrations are gorgeous. Anna and Diana especially have been drawn in a picture-perfect manner, exactly as they are represented in the book.

Growing up, I loved the illustrated classics series. Manga Classics is a great way to get kids to enjoy classic literature. I would love to collect the rest of the titles.

What a gorgeous manga version of a timeless classic! I have loved Anne of Green Gables since I was a child and now I have a child who loves manga, so I was very excited to check this out. The artwork is absolutely gorgeous and the story is just as heartfelt and beloved as ever. I enjoyed revisiting a favorite story in this new artistic format. Highly recommend and can't wait to check out more manga classics!

Anne of Green Gables is one of those stories that holds a special place in most peoples' hearts. For me, I remember reading it as a young child and loving how spunky Anne (you cannot forget the E in her name! ) was and how big her imagination was portrayed through words in a book. This book easily brings back those memories by staying true to the original story, but adding those feelings and qualities into the illustrations. The expressions brought fourth in the illustrations is incredible. I would have loved to have had a copy of this as a young child and can just see how even more generations can enjoy this timeless classic in a recreative presentation. Truly a work of art and a work of the heart!

I’m thinking Manga Classics might not be for me. It was decent but when you’re a bit of a classics “purist”, for lack of a better word, it makes it difficult to see one of your favorite books adapted in such a way that doesn’t feel true to the intent.
The illustrations were lovely though.

This was an absolutely delightful adaptation of Anne of Green Gables. It gives readers the highlights of the first book through delightful illustrations. I’d absolutely recommend this for younger readers just meeting Anne, manga collections, and decades long fans of Anne like myself.

This is the only official Anne of Green Gables manga adaptation, and includes a forward from LMM’s grandaughter! I also really enjoyed the extras at the end, including a floor plan of Green Gables (which I’ve visited!), seating chart, and character sketches.

This is a cute story about an orphan girl who is excited about finally getting a family. However the family had wanted a boy, after deciding to keep her. We get to follow her life growing up seeing her struggles, and advances. This story will make you cry and smile as we get to see a classic story come to life with some amazing art. Really enjoy seeing these classics turned into Manga for a new age of readers.

This is a perfect retelling of a beloved classics. I enjoyed the artwork and reading it was fun. I think it will be a nice intro for people to this classic.

This Manga adaptation was so perfect! The art, dialogue and story are perfectly adapted covering all the main points of the books and getting all of the heart and wholesomeness of Anne. They did a beautiful job of getting Anne's personality to shine through as well as all the secondary characters. I had a lovely time reading this one and look forward to reading more Manga classics.

Absolutely ADORE anne of green gables. She's such a cute little girl who grows into a beautiful woman with the guidance of Marella & Matthew. A classic like this is always a good read you will not be let down.

Can you believe this was actually my first time reading Anne of Green Gables?! I loved it so much and I'm so excited I got to read this beautiful copy with a great artstyle! 10/10 recommend

I love the manga version of my favorite classics. And I am slowly collecting the am. And I can’t wait to read all of them.

A new and beautiful way to visit Anne’s story. Her childhood at Green Gables is retold through vivid imagery. It brings the story to life in such a stunning way - definitely a book I will come back to again and again.

I LOVED THIS SO MUCH!!! Anne of Green Gables is one of my favorite childhood stories. As a purist, I tend to not like anything that diverts too much from the original telling. I am proud to say that this not only told the story well, but it added to the medium by giving us graphics to associate with favorite scenes and characters. I was a happy camper reading and only request that more be made to really flesh out the series!

I have grown up loving Anne of Green Gables. As a fellow redhead - I know the trouble it brings. And I also am so thankful to live in a world of octobers. This manga version is the same Anne. The same inspiration attitude, while bringing some more entertainment and whimsy. The art style is absolutely stunning and brings a new fun addition to a classic story.
