A solid 3.5 stars for this mystery romance. It would have been a solid 4 start but there were a few flaws in the story line that need to be fixed in order to have a smooth plot and a few words need to be rearranged to make sentences more cohesive. (Example in one chapter the main character meets her father for the first time and the next chapter she meets him for the first time again...) The few flaws didn’t detract from the story. I enjoyed it. It kept me intrigued enough to stay up into the wee hours of the night reading. The romance plot was just enough to have those who need romance in novels, like myself, feel appeased but the premise was more mystery. It combines nerdiness and hot alpha males. One can never go wrong with that combo. I look forward to the next installment in this series.

I love Tijan's work so much and this book proves why. She never disappoints. I absolutely loved this book so much. Very well done!

DNF. so no rating as that would not be fair as I have only read a couple of chapters and skimmed forward.
I have heard raving reviews about Tijan, so when I saw this book @ Netgalley and liked the blurb I requested it. When I started the book I immediately realized this is just not my kind of book. The writing, the characters.... it gave me a soap opera feeling.
I know Tijan has a massive fan base so I am sure many will like this first in a trilogy. It is just not for me!
