My review:⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Heat Factor:🔥🔥🔥🔥

What I loved about this book was that it started with a bang. We are immediately thrust into this world with an attempted kidnapping that leads our heroine, Bailey, learning the truth about her father. A man she’s never known about but has idolized her whole life.

Bailey is the daughter of a tech genius and the genetics didn’t stop with him. Bailey is a tech genius as well. This also means she is a prime target for his enemies.

Our hero Kash, is the head of her fathers security, and so much more. From their first meeting, the sparks fly 🔥🔥🔥. But that’s where the easy ends.

From the beginning, we know there is so much more going on. There are secrets. There are enemies. There is so much more to learn about who Kash really is. Kash is an enigma you desperately want to figure out.

I loved seeing Bailey meet her siblings and develop bonds with them. And I loved seeing the relationship between her and Kash heat up. He is ridiculously swoon worthy!

In the end we are left with answers and some seriously shocking revelations and then a cliffhanger. I can’t wait to see how Bailey and Kash take on this future threat together.

This book started fast and I really loved the thrill of it. I've been in a book slump and this Definitely helped me and I read this one in a couple days! I love love love Kash!!! Omg I need more of him. I need more angst. I need more pain. Lol. This book is more on the happy ever after side to me. Kash and Bailey are tug and pull alot. But I just know they will come out strong, I hope. I love Chrissy!! She sounds like an awesome mom 80% of the time. Peter was a very mysterious character and I want more of him. All the characters are well explained and I love the details! Matt is great but boy he can grind some nerves. Bailey is smart, strong and very resilient. She's a warrior. I love her. The story ended on a baby cliffhanger but I have a feeling grandfather is gonna be great and im hoping for a killer twist!! This book is really lovely and im so glad I got to have this experience. This is my first Tijan book and im honored to have this ARC. I will be looking into her other books and keeping an eye out for a book 2!! So all around this book has passion, love, grit, and sketchy tortured souls. My kinda book!

This book was incredible. The intrigue, the mystery. It was so different from anything I’ve been reading; I was blown away. Tijan is an auto-buy author for me and this book is an example of why.

The Insiders is book one in a new suspense trilogy by Tijan. If you've read any of her other suspense novels (Carter Reed, Kian) you will enjoy this first installment. Be prepared for a bit of a cliffy but all of the details that makes Tijan a great author are present sohecliffy will be worth it in the end.

Bailey is a strong heroine - her mind is sharp and she has enough spunk to keep up with the craziness surrounding her. I know if I were in her place, I wouldn't have been as strong.

The overprotective, alpha hero is in full effect with Kash. I, for one, loooooove a Tijan hero. The character development and plot line is on brand for a Tijan novel; layers upon layers of secrets and drama. Oh, and don't forget steamy.

The supporting characters are the clincher in this book. I can't wait to see how the story surrounds them and reveals even more secrets. I demolished this book and now will not so patiently wait for book two.

I came in pretty blind into this book. Even after reading the short blurb I wasn't sure what to expect. I love Tijan's books and so I know there would be some intrigue and definitely some steam.

Honestly, after reading the blurb I wasn't too excited for the book. It just didn't seem like something that might keep my interest. It has been especially hard because I have been in a bit of a book slump for the past month. But because I received an ARC I figure I just have to power through it, even if it didn't really hold my interest. Well, not only did this book hold my interest, it got me completely out of my slump.

The Insiders starts with an attempted kidnapping. Bailey is a smart girl, a hacker with a crazy gift. She's about to start graduate school when she is almost taken hostage. What she doesn't know is why. She's the only daughter of a single mother who has no money or anything of value. Or so she thinks.

After almost being taken Bailey discovers the true identity of her father and he's not a soldier lost at war. He's Peter Francis, a billionaire tech genius that she's idolized her entire life. And the attempt to capture her was to get to him. She is what they called an outlier, not an "insider" like the rest of his "real" family. She also meets Kash, who has ties to her father and his family and helps him with certain jobs and tasks. Kash himself is a mystery that Bailey is attracted to. What follows is a journey filled with lies, deception, discovery and more attempts on Bailey and the rest of the Francis family.

What did I like about this book? I loved Bailey and Kash. The sexual tension is very apparent from the start and not just on her side. Their chemistry, when they finally give into it, is out of this world. There were some fun steamy scenes. I loved the relationship between Bailey and her half-siblings. First, when they didn't know who she really was, and then when they did, how it changed for the better. I also like that it wasn't completely roses with all of them. Matt has lots of flaws and he does things that can sometimes feel inexcusable. But he's human and hurting and I look forward to seeing how he develops as a character in the following books.

What didn't I like about this book? Well, I hate cliffhangers for one. But this is the first book in a trilogy so I'll have to wait to find out what happens next. I also did not like the relationship development with her father. I can understand some of it but then it felt like things were moved really quickly after that. I would have loved to see more between her mother and father and how her mother ended up living in the house with them so easily. I was also very wary about how the mystery of who initiated the kidnapping attempts was solved so quickly at the end of the first book. I think it would have been something you could draw out but I guess since they're not the "big bad" of the trilogy then there might be a reason for it. It felt a little convenient too. I also wish there were more scenes with Kash and Bailey or that it showed more development of them falling in love. We see her journey and we kinda hear his but I would have loved to see that drawn out more in the book.

Overall I enjoyed the book more than I thought I would. It kept me on my toes and I really took to Bailey right away. I love that she's different and that Tijan didn't try to make her some bombshell nerd but really downplayed her beauty, even though she is beautiful. It didn't become a plot point that needed to be highlighted. I loved that her brains were first and foremost the biggest thing about her. Kudos for that.

Now, if only the wait wasn't so long for book 2!!!

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with an ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Bailey, a teenage genius with a photographic memory and a hacker, discovers that she's related to her idol- a billionaire tech genius- after a failed kidnapping attempt and ends up living at his estate for her protection. Secrets surround her new family and her protector, Kash, as she tries to get to know the people she's living with while maintaining her own identity a secret. Romance, mystery, and action fill every page of The Insiders in Tijan's new novel.

Although I found the story interesting and was drawn in by the characters, I wasn't a big fan of the writing or the pacing. I was mostly just confused and kept reading to try and understand what was happening and then I somehow got majorly invested near the end.

Sadly (and please don't hate me but) I wasn't the biggest fan of Kash? I randomly liked him but not as much as I would have liked for the love interest in a romance book. He was very hot and cold for seemingly no reason and I couldn't decide if his relationship with Bailey was too fast or too slow. It was a bit all over the place for me.

I did like Bailey a lot and would love to see how her character grows as the series goes on. (My favorite character was Matt and I just feel like I should mention that somewhere)
After the ending of this book I definitely want to read the sequel and am curious to discover what's going to happen next.

As a fan of Tijan's books, I was excited to be able to read The Insiders. I went in blind not knowing what to expect as often I find that the best bet, otherwise I tend to end up disappointed in the story and not able to enjoy it to the full as my expectations aren't met. In this book, it starts with a punch as Bailey wakes up home alone to find intruders in her house. They are ready to kidnap her. Luckily a neighbor hears her scream and she finds herself able to escape to safety. The next scene cuts to Bailey and her mum as well as a couple of investigators. Bailey is about to learn that her mother lied about her father and that the true identity is why she was kidnapped and that in a way Bailey has known all her life who her father is as he has been her technology idol growing up and her hero. We learn that Bailey now has to make a hard choice as this isn't the first time the kidnappers have tried to steal one of her father's children. Go with her mother and into the WITSEC or meet the father she has always wanted and never known. Of course, Bailey chooses her father but will learn that she is an "outsider" and a happy family isn't exactly what she will be walking into. Here Bailey meets Kash who works for her father and we can see the sparks flying and I loved the banter between these two. With all the spare time on her hand and her skills, will she learn who is behind the kidnapping and then somehow find herself a pawn in a much bigger mobster war? Find out in this good start to a new trilogy by Tijan. The Insiders finishes on a cliffhanger ending but not one that leaves you gasping and tearing your hair out as the next book takes forever, but one that will leave you pondering till the next time we are reunited with the characters from The Insiders.

Oh wow what did I just read? This book had me wondering and constantly guessing what is going to happen next. Get ready for a story filled with mystery and suspense, year head spinning, and your heart to play games with you and your emotions.

The built up relationship between Bailey Hayes and Kashton Colello had me rooting for more; however, the nonstop secrets that keep popping up with the different characters had me questioning things. The ongoing thoughts of who, what, when, where, and why. To add we knew that there was also being more hidden from Kash (afraid of the full truth coming out) that will have trying to piece the connection with everything that has already been revealed throughout the the story. Plus you cannot help but fall for some of the secondary characters and their personalities.

A good start to the series that left you with a cliffy on an important someone that has been mentioned and itching for more stat. This book got me intrigued and curious to see what will happen next.

I'm usually a fan of Tijan's books, but the past few releases from her were pretty disappointing. I was hoping this one would be a new favorite, but I was sadly mistaken. I didn't connect with the story or the main character at all, and the romance was not it. The guy made me uncomfortable, and I could not bring myself to read anymore. Maybe a future book of hers will work for me again.

The raw intensity. The realness. The suspense. The emotionally rich style of Tijan's writing. I loved it!! #NetGalley

A sexy, action-packed bodyguard romance with kidnapping, a grumpy hero, and lots of angst. A page-turning adventure packed full of hacking, steamy scenes, and adrenaline inducing moments! I found myself reading this one non-stop and didn’t want it to end!

Bailey doesn’t find out who her real father is until someone attempts to kidnap her. After that one terrifying event Bailey’s whole life changes. She must choose to go undercover with her mother or be protected by the sexy Kashton Collelo on her father’s estate. The future is unknown and Bailey doesn’t know who she can trust.

This book is addictive, engrossing, and sensual! Kashton is the best sort of overprotective, grumpy hero and Bailey is an intelligent and resilient young woman with a pension for hacking. The chemistry between these two is off the charts and I love the way they interacted with the entire Francis family. This book left me with a lot of unanswered questions, so I need the sequel now! Everything about this novel is high-energy and binge-worthy! I loved every minute of it!

The Insiders was perfect Tijan to me. Awkward, strange, yet strong heroine and rich, moody Hero.

The Insiders starts with full on action: Bailey is about to be kidnapped due to her parentage. Which is a shock to her, as she had thought her father to be deceased all her life. Surprise!

She’s saved and taken to her father’s estate (of course he’s super rich!) yet she is not allowed to become part of the family; she’s not an insider, she’s an outlier. I felt for Bailey. All she wants is to be a part of the family and yet she’s essentially shunned. She seemed so passive and let them do whatever they wanted to her, but I can understand both the shock of realizing they are related plus the longing she must have felt.

Kash was so secretive, I feel that even by the end of the (cliffhanger!) story, we still don’t know too much about him. He’s hot and broody and powerful and the chemistry he has with Bailey is smoking. I do love an obsessive Hero, naturally, and Kash fits the bill.

I was immediately sucked into the story and the characters. I wish we got to know more about Kash, but hopefully more information is to come in the further books. Her siblings were interesting additions, and I’m hoping Matt gets better. He was a disgusting and awful person and Bailey was too generous with him. But I need more Seraphina and Cyclone.

A great start to a new series that I couldn’t put down.

Kashton Colello, HOLY HOTNESS! I could not get enough of him! From the very beginning, I was addicted to this story. I did not want to stop reading. Adulting was very difficult! Everywhere I went, even if I just had two minutes, I would bring out my Kindle and read. I devoured every word! The storyline is very intriguing and the characters are captivating. I absolutely love the protective alpha that is Kash. Hubba, Hubba, he is delicious! I am so hooked on this story. I want more!

The blurb of this story piqued my interest. However, I found myself struggling with the storyline itself. Not the characters, per se, but the actual plot of the story. There were parts of the story that I really enjoyed and others that had me almost wanting to skim. I am not sure what exactly the disconnect was here. I just kept feeling like I wanted MORE. More something. I know that isn't really much to go on but it is how I felt.

There are a lot of interesting secondary characters and I can see where the author most likely intends to take this series. I am hoping that this first book is just laying the groundwork and is the reason I struggled because without Kash and Bailey and wanting to see what would happen with their relationship is the reason that I kept reading.

I am a huge fan of this author but this was not my favorite book. However, the premise and the characters of this book kept me reading which is a testament to this author's ability to tell a story. I realize that not all books are a hit with readers and that is what I am hoping for as this series continues. It is that reason that I am rounding up to 4 stars because there were elements that I wanted to know more about from this world.

I just love Tijan. Her books are amazing. Insiders is book one in the Insiders trilogy. This book will grab you right from the first sentence to the last. My adrenaline was racing and I had only read the first few pages. There are some twists and many secrets in Bailey’s life. She finds out she is not who she always thought she was her whole life. She’s had to leave everything she’s ever known to be thrown into a world she ever could imagine. She learns this by the sexy and mysterious, Kash. Bailey and Kash are great! But I need to know more about Kash. He definitely has secrets. Bailey also needs to adjust to her new family. She’s not an only child as she been told for years. And on top of it all, she has a father that is alive. I enjoyed this so much and look forward to some answers in the next book. So hang on, because this is not a ride you will not want to miss.

A very interesting start to this new adult trilogy with intrigue, kidnapping, secret families and ruthless enemies. Bailey was a quirky sort of character...book smart but naïve in the ways of the depraved and spoiled rich. She grew up with a single mother as struggling middle class and is thrown into a life where no one wants her and she doesn't belong. I liked her even though she frustrated me when she let herself be used time and time again. Kash was a mystery. And I grew to LOVE him. He's protective and keeps everything very closed in so he doesn't burden or endanger anyone else. And then you have the secret family. All of them unique in their own way and the more that's revealed...the more you wonder what MORE is out there. This first book was mostly developing the characters and setting the scene. LOTS of angst. The emotions just poured out of the pages and I can tell that we are going to be in for a hell of a ride. And I've buckled myself in and I'm ready to ride this rollercoaster until the end.

This was such a different and thrilling read from this author! I loved the suspense, the characters, the dark and dirty world of this elite family, and especially the mysterious hero - Kash. This man entered the book with a powerful punch and my intrigue and curiosity about him never wavered - it only grew. Just like the heroine, Bailey, I needed more from this man. I wanted all of his secrets and his life story, and all of his sexy and swoony attention. This man was HOT on the pages - loyal, protective, passionate, and could quiet a room with a single glance. He exuded power and sex appeal and I fell for him hard!

Bailey was such a unique heroine. From her hobby/occupation of being a hacker to her life with her single mom, everything about her was mysterious and drew me in. I loved her confidence and determination, and yet as strong as she was, she was able to show her vulnerabilities when necessary and I admired her for that.

The side characters are fascinating, the plot twists and suspense will keep you glued to the pages, and the family secrets have me ready for the next book in the series! There are still many questions I have, so I am excited to see what is to come. Well done once again Tijan!!

WOW, Simply... WOW!
This book blew me away! I love all worlds Tijan and this worlds left me craving more. Bailey and Kash and Matt and what ever happened to Victoria? Yeah I am left with questions on top of questions. Let’s face it those are the best books to read after all!
The suspense in this book is off the charts. The secrecy and mystery will drag you into their world of power and deceit.
Kash and Bailey, yeah they are what makes this story even more addictive. Their connection from the start had the hairs on the back of my neck stand up and goose pimples break out all over. I mean the intense staring was HAWT!
Then the mother father dynamics hit me right in the chest as I know what it feels like to be estranged from your father. Over all this book is a glimpse into a world that is way to over the top for me but way to exciting to read!
As this is the first book I am now eagerly waiting for the next book to come out and tell me how Kash and Bailey fair after the boom moment at the end of the book!
