I don't like giving bad reviews, but this just isn't very funny. The art isn't bad, but the jokes....are they even there? I get that everyone has different humor, but usually one can at least spot that humor is present! A few made sense at least, the rest fell flat. Sorry, dude, but write for more than just yourself!

Some pandemic related satire comics that often went over my head. I only got the joke for about half of them. I don't know that says more about me or the author.
Hit and miss. There were some cleverly observed bits but these were few and between. The art suffered from being digitally coloured. The book was forgettable.
An interesting read for exploring literary functions like hyperbole and satire. Although I don't have the biggest funny bone, some moments in this graphic novel were laugh out loud funny for me! I love the way the author exaggerated the events and how the characters reacted when faced with different situations. The art style was also gorgeous; would highly recommend to those searching for a quick read!
By using humour, irony and hyperbole in each panel, the author has created a rather satiric book. It is quite short but I liked it a lot. The illustrations are very nice and it is always funny in a satiric way (my favourite).
3.5/5
I can’t say I don’t like this book or but I’m unsure of me liking it as well. Coming from a girl who’s the closest thing to a comic book she read was Garfield. I’ll probably read a few more comic books before I decide if I like it or not.
What makes me unsure of what to think is that there wasn’t much of a plot, which I think was something the author did on purpose. I didn’t really feel like I was reading a book, felt more like a flipbook (kinda like the ones you find on coffee tables). I didn’t really understand the comic in most of this book, and the few I did it wasn’t really a LOL moment.
I would recommend this book to someone who has a better understanding of comic books and don’t need a plot. Like I said earlier this book would be good to look at when you just want to read something with a small sense of humor.
An absolutely fascinating visual work. This is the kind if book to appreciate and expand on with creativity — well worth reading and discussing.
**I received and voluntarily read an e-ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.**
A lot of the panels made me grin, but there was nothing so hilarious that it had me rolling on the floor. Nice illustrations and colors used.
Overall, there is some nice observational humor, but unless there were 500-600 full pages worth, it's not one of my top choices. But, should it ever reach that length, it would make a great coffee table book.
This should be interesting... I rarely laugh at anything, especially books and I've never read a graphic novel in my life, so this should be an interesting experiment!
As predicted, not even a glimmer of a smile, let alone laughter. I've no doubt that some people might enjoy this book and laugh out loud at it, but it didn't float my boat at all unfortunately. The only reason I'm giving it 5 stars is because every book I review starts off with 5 stars and it wouldn't be fair to knock off a star just because it didn't tickle my funny-bone. If your humour is tickled easily and you want a quick read that takes under an hour from start to finish, then you might enjoy this book more than me, it's just not my kinda thing though, unfortunately. Sorry.
Hmmm, some of the pieces in this short collection of single panel cartoons worked – the truth behind the award ceremony's seating arrangement, for one. Elsewhere things are really quite hit and miss, the Covid quips especially failing to land, and while this is a reasonable calling card, I would in no existence deem it a must-buy.
