A book that nature-lover and curious children will fell in love with instantly. There are a lot of interesting details about how a couple of animals do take care of their children and the information is equally relevant for nature lover parents and adults as well. It describes not only the parenting styles, but also the habitat and specific ways of dealing with their enemies or the connection with their little ones. The illustrations are realistic and very beautiful, convening a deep love for details and animals. Recommended for biology classes as well.

This book is awesome! I loved it. It promotes learning, wonder, and awareness. Your child will discover a handful of animals that give birth to their babies. The first page introduces the animal, some interesting facts, how it compares in size to you, what it likes to eat, who the enemies are, and just plan fun facts. The 2nd page is from the babies perspective on how mom and dad care for them. We have a wonderful world and this book is a great resource to share that! Would make a great gift. Highly recommend.

A Special thank you to Clavis Publishing and Netgalley for ARC and the opportunity to post an honest review

This is a really beautiful children's book, which has amazing artwork and a lot of information. It shows a whole range of different animals and how the mommies and daddies work together to give birth to their young and take care of them. My daughter and I loved this book and she thought it was really cute. It would be a fantastic book to have in a nursery or school.

Many thanks to the author, publisher and netgalley for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

A gorgeously illustrated book that teaches children how a variety of animal species around the world take care of their young. Stunning illustrations accompany basic facts and information on how each species rears their children. I would recommend this book for early elementary school aged children.

Thank you Clavis Publishing and NetGalley for providing this ARC.

Who doesn't love an aesthetically beautiful book for our kiddos? This ones great and would be lovely to put on display on our shelves as well. Its filled with every creature & rich in knowledge about each of them from seahorses to flamingos. What stayed with me was really how beautiful each page is! A great book & it would make for a fantastic gift for any teacher!

The structuring of this book is very strange. Each animal gets a few pages, and the narrative swaps between first person POV of the parent animal, third person POV describing different facts about the animal, then first person POV of the baby animal.

This may be an interesting and fun read for elementary kids, but it's a terrible read aloud for the parent/reader.

The illustrations are beautiful, and it's a fun concept. I would rather let my kids watch Disney animal documentaries than purchase something that reads as awkwardly as this.

Thank you Clavis Publishing and Netgalley for a copy of this ebook in exchange for my honest review.

I really enjoyed this book!

I loved the illustrations, they were lovely and the facts that were added were fabulous.

It was an easy book to read, very informative and a fun read too.

It is 5 stars from me for this one – I used to love books like this when I was younger and it is definitely the type of book I would purchase for my daughter when she is a bit older too.

Gorgeous book, the artwork is amazing. Also, the information is extensive without being overwhelming and the way each parental pair is presented is new and enchanting.

Thank you to NetGalley and Clavis Publishing for kindly providing me with a digital copy of this book for review.
I think what makes this book is the beautiful artwork- I’d gladly frame many of the images and hang them on my walls. There is a wide range of animals covered in this book- everything from flamingos to foxes to clown fish. There is not huge paragraphs of information given- just a few notes on what each animal looks like, what their habit is like and some behavioural points. There’s enough for it to be informative for young readers whilst not overloading them. It is also written in age appropriate language. For example, urinating is referred to as peeing- which I know for my children at least is much more accessible.
I think in printed form this book will be lovely and I know my kids would gravitate towards it if they saw it at the library or a book shop.

This was a really nice guide to different animals that take good care of their babies! I really liked the different pictures to illustrate the points and that it goes in-depth without being too heavy or complicated! Perfect to use in the Primary School classroom!
The only thing I want to say is that this pretty much indicates that there are pretty much no areas with wolves in Norway, which is not true.

This team has done it again. With gorgeous illustrations and informative layouts, they really educate you on the best parents in the animal world. I would recommend this series of books to inquisitive little scientist who want to know more about animals!

Adorable book! Beautiful illustrations! What a fun way to teach kids about certain animals- by relating them to their moms & dads. Parents are the center of the world to kids. This book really gives them a centered comparison they’d understand. There’s lots of facts but they’re laid out it little sections which makes it much less overwhelming. This would be a great intro to a research project or a compare/contrast writing piece on animals life to their life (parents).

The illustrations were beautiful and I learned a LOT. I can definitely see this book being a great gift to anyone, not just children! I loved the different aspects of the book, the quick facts, and then the more in-depth descriptions. Definitely would buy!

A further strong entry to this series, that each time highlights one aspect of animal life on earth, and gives us an up-close, detailed look at nine examples. This one, on animal parenting, starts with the extraordinary endurance of emperor penguin parents, before switching to foxes, orang utans, clown fish, flamingos, and so on. The entry style for each is the standard for the series – a huge and attractive double-page portrait, then a look at each critter's anatomy, range, speed, diet, and so on. The third spread each time has four short paragraphs (written as if from the animal's point of view, when confusingly the introduction is the adult speaking) overlaid on an illustration showing their family life. Child-friendly and then some, this is a great introduction to some animals children will want to know more about, and just about manages to rein in the anthropomorphism. Definitely four stars.
