I picked up Next Stop Love based on the cover. It looked like a cute contemporary romance. What I found was it was a lot more. From the first chapter, there was a mystery and just enough thrill to keep me intrigued. I was curious what the whole story was and so I had to keep reading to get more details. I enjoyed the characters and their blossoming relationship.

As soon as I saw the cover of this book I knew I had to read it and I was not disappointed. Julian and Beatrice were adorable Characters and I loved their story. I can’t wait to read another book by Rachel because this one had me flying through it till the very end. Great book and a must-read!

Beatrice and Julian are both unexpectedly looking for something or someone in their life until they meet one day in a library study room. Their first encounter is by pure accident and because Julian was running from a gang member, but still a beginning. Once they notice that they both take the same train to get home they start to talk and that is where the friendship starts. This story does a great job of showing that sometimes people come into our lives, and that ends up changing everything we thought we knew.

I'm struggling a bit to write this review as I have mixed emotions. I really liked the main characters and I thought the book was well written. However, I thought there was a lot of unnecessary drama, violence and abuse. Based on the cover and description, I expected a light rom-com and while those elements were there, the heavy-handed plot dragged down the story for me. I struggled to finish it, but I did.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC of this book; I very much appreciate it.

What a cute and adorable read! I received this book as an arc from the publisher and I must say, it exceeded my expectations. From the cover and the synopsis, you get the impression that it's a cute and light beach read but in reality, it has some really interesting depth that I was not expecting.
Julian and Bee are such adorable characters with a lot of chemistry - I feel like Ms. Stockbridge did a great job with the dynamics of the characters. However, I do feel like maybe some parts of the book (especially the ending) were a bit rushed and there were too many heavy themes to explore properly in a book of this length. I felt the ending was a bit rushed and would've liked a bit more resolution. I wish the book was longer so that there were more opportunities to explore some of the later scenes and plot lines.
The amount of teenage angst and lack of steamy scenes really feel like this is catered to a YA audience rather than an adult one, so if you're trying to keep everything PG, this is a great choice. It's certainly not a bad thing though, I've read my fair share of YA and really enjoyed this.
Thanks NetGalley for providing me with a free copy in exchange for my opinions!

I was one of the people that was intrigued right away by the cover of Next Stop Love. I was after a fun, quirky and cute romance novel and this book certainly delivered.
One of my favourite characters was definitely Beatrice, as she was immediately such a relatable character as she went through stressful situations and feeling overwhelmed at times. The relationship between Julian and Beatrice was also another aspect of the book that I enjoyed as their relationship seemed consistent with what college-age students would go through.
I will say that the one drawback for me was the fact that Julian's Asian heritage was not necessarily explored that deeply as to how it would affect his character, and was something I feel could have been delved into further.
Overall the pacing of the book was good, which made for an enjoyable read.

For those craving, a quirkier than the usual romance than Next Stop Love could be the read for you. Beatrice is desperate to move out of her family home and is fed up with playing peacemaker to her chaotic family. She is working and studying all the hours she can find to get a marketing degree in New York. Julien is looking for work and safety but gets the chance to pursue his dream as an art teacher. He doesn’t think anyone should be around him as he attracts trouble. However, fate interacts and the pair become travel buddies on the train to and from college.
This a very readable but compelling novel following the stories of two very lost souls as they navigate themselves around their lives and each others. The characters were realistic and identifiable as I think we have all felt at a loss in our lives. Some parts of the book will have you laughing out loud, whilst others trembling with fear. This is a definite recommendation from me.

Beatrice is an overworked, overcaffinated college student with an too-attentive boyfriend. Julian is a high school dropout with a complicated past just looking for a break. On the surface, “Next Stop Love” is sweet meet-cute, fighting-attraction story set in NYC. Going deeper, it’s a remarkably insightful dive into self-worth, toxic relationships, and the 20something struggle of trying figure out where your life path is headed.
I absolutely flew through this book, reading it all in one evening. Bee and Julian have fantastic chemistry with tons of witty banter. One of my few complaints is wanting more of their conversations spelled out rather than time skipped, because I love them so much!
I also love how genuine Beatrice’s friends are. Sasha and Kinsey jump to protect Beatrice and boost her when she’s frazzled, exhausted, or scared. And they’re there for the good times too. Her stepbrother Nathan really steps up as well. Again, I would love a 50% increase in word count if it meant more of these gems and more character development for them. But the fast pace of the plot is much of its draw, so guess I can’t have it both ways ;)
Overall, a super solid new adult romance. I’d happily recommend it to an adult or older teen.

I really thought I was going to love this book. I loved the cover and the description. But for some reason, I didn't love this book. To be honest, I DNF it. I tried and tried. Picked it up over and over to keep reading, but after a week, I gave up.

I received this book as an e-arc from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
Unfortunately I ended up marking this book as a dnf. The cover looked so cute as I've been really loving this style of cover lately and the plot line intrigued me enough but I just couldn't fully get into the book.
I don't know if it was partly timing or just a complete disinterest on my part but I made it 40% into the book before deciding to out it down. At that point in any book I should feel a lot more connection to the characters and interest in the overall plot but I was finding it easier and easier to put the book down and only read really small segments at a time if I even decided to read it at all. I tried reading other books to see if it was just my overall attention span but managed to read others to completion even if I wasn't in love with them which just leads me to believe that this just isn't the book for me.
There was honestly nothing wrong with it and recommend that if it sounds like your kind of book to give it a try. Definitely check and see if you have any content warnings needed as I think it very briefly mentions death of a parent.

A fun, light hearted read. Very enjoyable and cozy romance. A stressed out college student crosses paths with a struggling artist; they find common ground and their friendship develops into romance. Not overly complex. Thank you NetGalley for allowing me to review.

While I certainly enjoyed this book, I felt that I got something very different from what I had been expecting.
Beatrice is a stressed-out, overburdened college student. Julian is a struggling artist who's been knocked down by life but is trying to bounce back. After a chance meeting and shared commutes, each is left with friendship and the desire for something more.
I must admit, after seeing that cover and the description of this book, I was absolutely expecting a light, cute rom-com, and while this book did deliver somewhat in that aspect, there was a lot of underlying angst and other heavier topics included, while not discussed much of, like abusive relationships.
The writing is simple but it really gets the job done effectively. It was written in a dual perspective, which usually can go either way for me, but I ended up liking here, mostly because the characters themselves weren't annoying. The main characters were really sweet if a bit childish at times, and I loved reading about their romance bloom. Beatrice being overstressed all the time was so relatable, but I really want to be more like her incredibly supportive friends. Julian and Beatrice's dynamic was really adorable, even if it got a bit frustrating at times.
Overall, there was a lot of seemingly unnecessary drama, mostly caused by miscommunication, but I genuinely enjoyed reading this, even if it wasn't what I was expecting. I would definitely recommend this book to readers who want a cutesy romance with a side-dish of angst.

This is a “pick it up and get emotionally attached super quickly and suddenly it’s 4am” read. And it’s worth every second. This was precious and adorable and I want to bundle up the characters and keep them safe from the world and also themselves.
Definite make you grin read. I loved how real and solid everyone felt. Almost immediately I was able to connect and understand with the two mains. I’m so glad I was given the chance to read it!

W: harassment; abusive relationship (not too detailed, but there); gang violence
I was looking to read a cute-sy book where two people fall in love on a train, but this book really had a lot more depth than I was expecting, which I appreciated at times, and not so much as others. I found that a big reason I enjoyed this book was because I liked Beatrice’s character. That feeling of stress and overwhlemingness she felt, I thought it was relatable and there’s nothing better than a relatable character. I loved her dynamic with her friends, they were always so supportive of her. I loved how quirky she was. I did expect for her to grow in a more steady way throughout the book, but the ending just seemed to tie up all the holes of the story into a perfect little bow. Obviously that’s what a romance does, but because this book discussed so many other topics, I was a little disappointed those were all “fixed” so suddenly in the last 40 to 50 pages. Julian’s character was very meh. It was 100 percent the sunshine/grumpy dynamic that I’ve heard many people talk about, I’m not sure if it’s for me, haha. I understand the depth of grief and self-loathing Julian had to face internally, but at times that felt like his only character trait and I wanted more.
When the book first started, it made absolutely no logical sense. This book was pretty much insta-love and bloomed from the strangest first meeting. I didn’t understand why Beatrice wouldn’t just break up with her boyfriend to be with this man. There was no cheating technically, but like emotional cheating? Even though her boyfriend was an asshole, cheating just makes me uncomfortable. I will say that as this book progressed I definitely got more invested into Beatrice and Julian’s relationship. I found their interactions on the train to be heart warming. They were so supportive towards one another and don’t even get me started on the angst I was feeling haha.
Also, I just want to point out, Julian and his sister were of East-Asian background it was a bit stereotyped (just a hint) in the book. I’ve recently found it difficult to read books by white authors that include POC and just don’t do the research to bring that culture justice. The book would have been the exact same if kimchi was not brought up, just saying.
Overall, this was a solid read. I stayed up pretty late to finish it because I wanted to know what happened. I’m not really sure it I would personally recommend it, but if it sounds interesting to you, I’d say go for it!

I love a slow burn romance and Next Stop Love delivered. This was super cute and worth the read! The cover is super cute too!

Thank you Net Galley for this amazing book. It was really fun and enjoyable.. I really adored the romance part. It was a quick read. The love story was interesting and realistic. The two main characters Beatrice and Julian (a struggling illustrator) really complement each other despite having their differences and own struggles in life. Also the book cover is really cute. Overall it’s a nice and heart warming contemporary read.

Overall, I thought this story was cute!
If you like cute stories about two people meeting randomly and falling for each other, this book is for you.
Although it did seem a little rushed at certain points, it was overall a lighthearted and sweet book to read. Definitely a cute story to read if you're in need of a pick me up!
I'd recommend this book to people who love Sarah Dessen books because this story reminded me of similar stories.

Thank you so much for the opportunity to read this book. I'll be posting my review on Goodreads and Amazon

I received this as an ARC from NetGalley for my honest review.
It was a cute little romance, wasn't the best that I have read but overall a good love story. I wasn't too hooked on it, but I was able to finish it and enjoyed it overall. I didn't really relate to the characters so that's why I am giving it a 4-star review.

I grabbed this because of the cover and it did not disappoint! I fell in love with the humor and and romance and just how adorable it was. It was a slow romance that worked well for this story. I couldn't put it down!
