Description

Love will get you back on track

Beatrice Bauer is struggling to keep up with the demands of family, friends, college life, and a part-time job. She doesn’t have room to breathe, much less question whether the track she’s on is worth the effort. But it’s fine. She’s fine. She can breathe after college.

Julian Moon is doing his best to get back on his feet and reconnect with his dream of being an illustrator. The problem is he can’t seem to shake the habit of making all the worst decisions. The most recent of which is his return to New York, where all his problems started in the first place.

When a shared commute dumps Julian and Beatrice in each other’s lives, they start wondering if there isn’t more to life than a desperate scramble to stay afloat. If maybe a coincidental commute acquaintance couldn’t become something more.

Everyone loves a good contemporary romance right? The good-hearted nature, witty remarks, the sly love that you see coming yet the characters don't until its too late?

Next Stop love MORE than did that for me. It was one of those books that once I started I actually wasn't able to out down. You are given this bad-boy, struggling not-an-artist Julian, who only wants a normal life, not one full of fear and running. Then you have the oddly-weird, grungy Beatrice, who wears weird clothes that fit right in with her personality, who just wants to be able to breath in life rather than be controlled by the never ending stress of life and plans and goals.

The odd pairing that occurs between them and their snide remarks to each other left me chuckling and grinning ear to ear the entire book. The build up of the story was absolutely great. The author's writing style was so laid back and natural that the words practically flowed off the page as I read.

This is definitely one of those 5 star reviews that I can't wait for the release and its place on my permanent collection.

This book was free and sent to me an an ARC on NetGalley. However, all reviews are of my own opinions.

Next Stop Love really did surprise me. I expected a typical romance story of two people getting together, but it was so much more than that. There was so much drama which made it more thrilling.

We have different protagonists who played their parts really well - it was easy to connect with each of them and feel all of the emotions.

There was a plot twist which I was absolutely not expecting! It was quite shocking and I found my heart was beating so fast because I wanted to find out what was going to happen. Julian, one of the main characters really did go through emotions - he was the type to run away when shit hit the fan, Whereas, Bee, would face situations head on. Both of their characters together worked really well.

I really did enjoy this book. The ending was strong and I could definitely see this as a movie!

I grabbed this because of the cover and it did not disappoint! I fell in love with the humor and and romance and just how adorable it was. It was a slow romance that worked well for this story. I couldn't put it down!

I grabbed this book because the cover intrigued me, yes, I am one of those people! It kept me hooked from the beginning. The characters Beatrice (Bee) and Julian were pretty much a mess till they met each other on the train - 2 messes equal a right? They became friends, which became more, with problems. One problem being the evil stepbrother (Greyson) - six degrees of Kevin Bacon right. Well, things don't exactly work out the way that Greyson would like but they do for Bee and Julian.

I did notice that in Goodreads this is titled Next Stop Love 1, so I am hoping to see where there story goes as well as all of the additional characters in the book.

Thank you Net Galley for this amazing book. It was really fun and enjoyable.. I really adored the romance part. It was a quick read. The love story was interesting and realistic. The two main characters Beatrice and Julian (a struggling illustrator) really complement each other despite having their differences and own struggles in life. Also the book cover is really cute. Overall it’s a nice and heart warming contemporary read.

This is a “pick it up and get emotionally attached super quickly and suddenly it’s 4am” read. And it’s worth every second. This was precious and adorable and I want to bundle up the characters and keep them safe from the world and also themselves.

Definite make you grin read. I loved how real and solid everyone felt. Almost immediately I was able to connect and understand with the two mains. I’m so glad I was given the chance to read it!

Beatrice is an overworked, overcaffinated college student with an too-attentive boyfriend. Julian is a high school dropout with a complicated past just looking for a break. On the surface, “Next Stop Love” is sweet meet-cute, fighting-attraction story set in NYC. Going deeper, it’s a remarkably insightful dive into self-worth, toxic relationships, and the 20something struggle of trying figure out where your life path is headed.

I absolutely flew through this book, reading it all in one evening. Bee and Julian have fantastic chemistry with tons of witty banter. One of my few complaints is wanting more of their conversations spelled out rather than time skipped, because I love them so much!

I also love how genuine Beatrice’s friends are. Sasha and Kinsey jump to protect Beatrice and boost her when she’s frazzled, exhausted, or scared. And they’re there for the good times too. Her stepbrother Nathan really steps up as well. Again, I would love a 50% increase in word count if it meant more of these gems and more character development for them. But the fast pace of the plot is much of its draw, so guess I can’t have it both ways ;)

Overall, a super solid new adult romance. I’d happily recommend it to an adult or older teen.

For those craving, a quirkier than the usual romance than Next Stop Love could be the read for you. Beatrice is desperate to move out of her family home and is fed up with playing peacemaker to her chaotic family. She is working and studying all the hours she can find to get a marketing degree in New York. Julien is looking for work and safety but gets the chance to pursue his dream as an art teacher. He doesn’t think anyone should be around him as he attracts trouble. However, fate interacts and the pair become travel buddies on the train to and from college.
This a very readable but compelling novel following the stories of two very lost souls as they navigate themselves around their lives and each others. The characters were realistic and identifiable as I think we have all felt at a loss in our lives. Some parts of the book will have you laughing out loud, whilst others trembling with fear. This is a definite recommendation from me.

Beatrice and Julian are both unexpectedly looking for something or someone in their life until they meet one day in a library study room. Their first encounter is by pure accident and because Julian was running from a gang member, but still a beginning. Once they notice that they both take the same train to get home they start to talk and that is where the friendship starts. This story does a great job of showing that sometimes people come into our lives, and that ends up changing everything we thought we knew.

A delightful rom-com by Rachel Stockbridge. It's one of those fabulous romantic comedies that also deals with real-world problems and emotions. Absolutely lovely and worth a read! Five out of five!

This is a lovely story of two broken people who find each other and learn how to be whole. It's beautifully written—cute and quirky and funny, as the cover suggests. It's also got a suspense element, which I didn't expect. But that didn't detract from the story for me. This book should appeal to anyone who enjoys YA romance.

Thanks, NetGalley, for the ARC I received.

I loved that this romance was not just an easy, thrown together romance. There was turmoil and drama thrown in, in a way that brought a depth to the relationships! This was a good read and I recommend to anyone who wants a romance with a little pizzazz.

Hey ready to break out some tears with this one! This story is beautifully written, has all the comical and special moments we all love from our contemporary rom books and had an added suspense element which I didn’t see coming. It was almost poetic how this story of two broken people coming together and making themselves whole by being with each other flowed throughout the book.

This was a lovely read! I would recommend this to the ya/new adult crowd. It had a great mix of drama and humour. Characters were rich and dynamic and had me feeling for them throughout their stories. I like the back and forth narrative and thought it was really well done. Sometimes the back and forth narrative can be jarring and disruptive but that was not the case with this book. The book had good diction and I really enjoyed the writing style. I will be looking for more work by this author in the futures.

One note of criticism - I find the title a little cheesy. It doesn't capture the depth of this story.

Requested this because of the cover-cute, light, quirky- and it did not disappoint!! I ended up really enjoying this book! The characters were so likable and relatable to anyone who is towards the end of college/just out of college trying to find your next step. Loved it.

Note: I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. All of the opinions are my own and this did not affect my review in any way.

I requested this book on NetGalley because I was in the mood to read a fun, romantic contemporary book that would be a fast heartwarming experience. I was definitely not expecting to read such a hard-hitting romance story, and I loved it.

In Next Stop Love we follow Beatrice Bauer who is struggling to keep up with the demands of family, friends, college life, and a part-time job. And Julian, who is doing his best to get back on his feet and reconnect with his dream of being an illustrator. When a shared commute dumps Julian and Beatrice in each other’s lives, they start wondering if there isn’t more to life than a desperate scramble to stay afloat.

Like I said I was expecting a fluffy quick romance novel, but Next Stop Love is so much more than that. I was definitely not expecting to be blown away by this book, but I was. The writing style is lyrical and clean, I could not put this book down, it had high stakes and various plot twist that just made the reading experience much more enjoyable.

This book is so much more than just a romance book, it is a story about forgiveness, about chasing your dreams and not letting your past dictate your future. This was such a hard-hitting story and I feel in love with it. I loved how it felt realistic and it dealt with important everyday problems.

The best thing about the book are definitely the characters, Beatrice was my favorite character, I think I related to her way too much but in a good way, she is sweet, quirky and gives her all in everything that she does. Julian was also amazing, I really appreciated seeing his character growth and how he learned to let go of the past. The real MVP´s though are Nath (Bee´s brother) and the best friends Sasha and Kinsey.

Overall this was an outstanding and surprising read, this book was hard-hitting, impactful, heartwarming and romantic. I truly hope the author comes out with a sequel soon because I would love to get back into the story of Beatrice and Julian.

Thanks so much to the author, publisher and Netgalley for allowing me read and review this book.
