Overall, I thought this story was cute!

If you like cute stories about two people meeting randomly and falling for each other, this book is for you.

Although it did seem a little rushed at certain points, it was overall a lighthearted and sweet book to read. Definitely a cute story to read if you're in need of a pick me up!

I'd recommend this book to people who love Sarah Dessen books because this story reminded me of similar stories.

I received this as an ARC from NetGalley for my honest review.
It was a cute little romance, wasn't the best that I have read but overall a good love story. I wasn't too hooked on it, but I was able to finish it and enjoyed it overall. I didn't really relate to the characters so that's why I am giving it a 4-star review.

I grabbed this because of the cover and it did not disappoint! I fell in love with the humor and and romance and just how adorable it was. It was a slow romance that worked well for this story. I couldn't put it down!

I grabbed this book because the cover intrigued me, yes, I am one of those people! It kept me hooked from the beginning. The characters Beatrice (Bee) and Julian were pretty much a mess till they met each other on the train - 2 messes equal a right? They became friends, which became more, with problems. One problem being the evil stepbrother (Greyson) - six degrees of Kevin Bacon right. Well, things don't exactly work out the way that Greyson would like but they do for Bee and Julian.

I did notice that in Goodreads this is titled Next Stop Love 1, so I am hoping to see where there story goes as well as all of the additional characters in the book.

Such a cute and fun read! Perfect distraction in life right now. Really enjoyable characters and story and hard to put down!

I liked this book! The romance was really cute and I loved the slow burn. Julian and Beatrice were both likable and although they seemed to be polar opposites, they worked great together. I loved all the angst and the drama, although I sometimes found it a little over the top.
Some scenes were a little boring and dragged out and I found the plot a little repetitive, especially compared to other romance books it seemed like something I have read before. I also wasn't super invested in the characters.
I really liked the talk Beatrice had with her parents in the end and how the story wrapped up and it was a really sweet romance.

DNF @ 20%

I'll keep this one short.

As I started reading this book, I really thought I was going to enjoy it a lot as I really liked Julian as a character and wanted to know more about him. But the more I read, the more I realized that this book just wasn't for me. So I had to put it down.

Thank you publisher and NetGalley for an eARC in exchange for an honest review.

This review is going to seem more negative than how I really felt about the book. I liked the book. It’s well-written, with excellent descriptions (especially of Bea’s clothes) and wry observations (pretty much anything Julian thinks about as he notices things). I even cried, so it clearly got to me.

And yet. And yet. The book was nothing as I expected. The cover and the tone make it seem as if it’s going to be a little cutesy. There’s even a .. meet cute? Meet interesting, with cute follow-ups. The relationship between Bea and Julian makes sense; you can tell why they’d be drawn to one another.

But the plot is so damn melodramatic, and the villain so thinly drawn, that it comes across as far-fetched and a little cheesy, an abrupt contrast from the romance, which is grounded in details. I kept thinking after finishing, “this book would be better if the obstacles had been changed,” and so the problems/conflict clearly didn’t work for me.

Still, as quirky as Bea is, its quiet lonely Julian who steals your heart and leads you to like this book in spite of the significant plot flaws.

This book was free and sent to me an an ARC on NetGalley. However, all reviews are of my own opinions.

Next Stop Love really did surprise me. I expected a typical romance story of two people getting together, but it was so much more than that. There was so much drama which made it more thrilling.

We have different protagonists who played their parts really well - it was easy to connect with each of them and feel all of the emotions.

There was a plot twist which I was absolutely not expecting! It was quite shocking and I found my heart was beating so fast because I wanted to find out what was going to happen. Julian, one of the main characters really did go through emotions - he was the type to run away when shit hit the fan, Whereas, Bee, would face situations head on. Both of their characters together worked really well.

I really did enjoy this book. The ending was strong and I could definitely see this as a movie!

3.5 Stars
I thought this was such a cute romance. I loved the sweeter moments between these two. I did go into this knowing that it was a fun and light read that did delve into some tougher subjects like abuse. Overall, it was quirky and relatable, especially the college life aspects. I thought that the relationship between Julian and Beatrice was handled very maturely and had the realistic aspect of two college kids entering into a relationship, so I appreciated that. I do feel like the cultural aspect of Julian's character was glazed over, I may be saying this because I am so used to author's who write Asian character's really explaining the culture of the character, so it may have been that I was expecting more of that part of Julian being explored, but I didn't mind that it wasn't explained. Overall I just really enjoyed it, and the pacing was pretty was done well so I appreciate the author not dragging it out or leaving me feeling that things could have been explained more.

Next Stop Love is the kind go book that gave me mix-up feeling I don't know if I like it or not but I know I don't hate it.
I think the author's premise is good but some parts of the story felt rush in so Im gonna list my likes and dislikes.

The parts I like:
1. Bee style ROCKS
2. Bee development with her family I LOVED the final part of the book where she could talk with her mom and stepdad!!
3. Julian's art

The parts I dislike:
1. GRAYSON
2. Bee and Grayson relationship seemed dumb I mean she even didn't describe how it happened and the connection was off
3. Bee and Julian moments bc although I liked them as a couple there were not enough moments for me

Overall I think is a quick read but it just didn't hit the spot for me

I voluntarily read and reviewed and ARC of this book. All though and opinions are my own

how to describe this book? adorable. cute. light and refreshing.
however, it does address family situations and issues so do take a look at the trigger warnings!

tw: emotional and physical abuse

One aspect that disappointed me though is the lack of diversity mentioned. Julian is of Asian descent yet somehow it feels like the author threw in the term asian for diversity and representation brownie points and continued on without addressing it anymore. i wanted to see more of julian's experience as a person of colour and i cant say that this book delivered it well enough. i did enjoy the romance aspect as it was very lighthearted and heartwarming. a fast and sweet read, perfect for helping people get out of reading slumps!

In terms of plot/story, this book is super cute. It was a quick read. The family drama coupled with the pressures of college life are relatable. I think that the book also does a great job of portraying different kinds of family situations.

With respect to the characters, I think both Julian and Beatrice are adorable. They're likeable, their emotions/reactions make sense, and their relationship is heart-warming. However, I wish there had been more about their ethnicity/cultures involved in the story. Julian is of Asian descent, but other than mentioning that, his ethnicity is largely ignored. For a Caucasian reader, like myself, this meant that my mental image was of two white characters interacting with a white world. If readers of Asian descent are looking for books that feature Asian characters, I think this book will disappoint.

Overall, 3/5 stars for me. It works great as a romantic comedy, but I wish the characters were more well-rounded.

Everyone loves a good contemporary romance right? The good-hearted nature, witty remarks, the sly love that you see coming yet the characters don't until its too late?

Next Stop love MORE than did that for me. It was one of those books that once I started I actually wasn't able to out down. You are given this bad-boy, struggling not-an-artist Julian, who only wants a normal life, not one full of fear and running. Then you have the oddly-weird, grungy Beatrice, who wears weird clothes that fit right in with her personality, who just wants to be able to breath in life rather than be controlled by the never ending stress of life and plans and goals.

The odd pairing that occurs between them and their snide remarks to each other left me chuckling and grinning ear to ear the entire book. The build up of the story was absolutely great. The author's writing style was so laid back and natural that the words practically flowed off the page as I read.

This is definitely one of those 5 star reviews that I can't wait for the release and its place on my permanent collection.

I’m not going to lie, I requested this one because of the cover. It’s just so cute! 😍 Although the book was kind of a mixed bag for me I still liked a majority of what I read.

The book is split into two point-of-views. This always gets brownie points because I like being to able to understand both characters that will end up in a relationship.

The first one that was introduced was Julian. He is Korean and hasn’t had the best life. He is now just trying to make a life and stay out of trouble. Also, he’s an artist! I like that.

Beatrice is a marketing major who is running on coffee while trying to make everything work. I’m not even sure how she manages to live because her life is intense, haha. School takes up a lot of time and then there is work. I really did like her determination.

The way that these two characters meet had me giddy. It was just perfect and I won’t spoil it if you tend to read this one.

Their relationship does start out slow and they become friends before they become more. I always like seeing this because it’s just more believable than instant-love. You see their growth and it’s just nice.

*Spoilers*My biggest thing I didn’t like was how obvious it was when it came to who would be the one causing the most drama between Julian and Beatrice. Right from the beginning the person is painted as someone who can’t be trusted even though Beatrice is dating him. Why be with someone who you don’t understand and question why they are with you? It just kind of ruins all of the plot twists that involve them. *End of Spoilers*

Because of a lot of the drama, I did like the first half more than the last.

Overall, I liked it. Besides those two things, I still think that this book is cute and makes for a lighthearted read. I would still check out another book by this author.

I can be a sucker for meet cute, and while the meet cute in this book wasn’t your typical idea of “cute” I rather enjoyed it.

The book does deal with tough issues like physical and emotional abuse, but I think it handled it in a respectful way. I definitely wouldn’t go into this thinking it’s a light romance read. It can be, but there are definitely tough subjects.

It is more of an adult than YA romance (in my opinion, because of the abuse), but overall a cute and quick read!

Triggers: physical and emotional abuse

*special thanks to NetGalley for the ARC to review!
