It's a nice book about some women chefs and their stories. I received a free digital copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for my honest review

Thank you to the publisher for giving me a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This book was very enjoyable. I was very intrigued by this book because I read something about it online and then I also read the blurb after so i felt like i had to read it!

It took me a little time to read it since I'm in a bit of a reading slump but I ended up finishing it in the end. it was not because the book was shit but because I didn't feel like reading most of the time. The book itself was actually pretty good.

I really liked how everything was formatted in this book when it comes to text and picture wise because it made it very calm but still fun to look at. I also really enjoyed the style of writing since it didn't use too many complicated words that I would possibly have to look up since I'm sadly not a walking dictionary.

I think this book was pretty good :D

I loved this book. What a unique compilation of women. I could see many more versions of this! It's a wonderful read because all of the women are featured in different formats - recipes, stories of memorable meals, portraits of kitchens, conversations, essays. Each presentation is unique.

The book is illustrated by the author - from meals on plates, to gardens and landscapes, to the featured women themselves. The illustrations support the organic narrative of the stories told within the book.

As an extra note, I loved the "contributors' section in the back, with the listing of the people and their websites. Fabulous resource at your fingertips!

5 stars to this gorgeous book centered on feminism in the world of cooking .Women chefs share their life path what skills they inherited from their grandmothers and mothers recipes kitchen equipment that bring back memories. Everyone’s path was not easy male dominated in restaurants but they fought the fight and now women are the head chefs and yes they can have it all careers family& love, I will be highly recommending this book and will be gifting this beautifully written book with gorgeous illustrations, to my dear friends. This will be a treasure on my shelf,#netgalley#workmanpublishing
