Wonderful and inspiring! I'll definitely be purchasing a copy for our library collection as well as a copy for our church library personally.

I enjoyed going through this Devotional. I didn't read it daily, but did read several prayers a day. I really enjoyed a lot of the prayers and love that it follows scripture. I would have loved for the prayers to be in the order of the Bible. I love reading the Bible yearly and would to have a prayer book that corresponds with the Bible to read each day. However, I still remember and have written many of the prayers in my journal to refer back to. This is a great book to read daily and have on your nightstand.

Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this book..

I have made a habit of reading through the Bible each year, and have enjoyed adding Pray Through the Bible in a Year Devotional to my daily quiet time! Beautiful book and I like having the devotion at the end of each day. I would definitely recommend this book to a friend. Thank you NetGalley and Barbour Staff for the opportunity to read this book pre-publishing.

Great daily devotional to take you through the Bible.

Wonderful devotional for someone who wants to read through the Bible and also practice a bit of praying God's Word until it becomes a habit and a lifelong “skill.”

Firstly, the book is beautiful – something you won't mind looking at everyday for a year. The top of every page has a pleasing and soothing color panel that is like the lovely cover, while displaying the scripture passages to read that day.

In order to finish the whole Bible in a year, every day you read a portion from the Old Testament (Genesis to Malachi), a portion from the New Testament (Matthew to Revelation) and a chapter from Psalms and then later on Proverbs. Then there is a short prayer based on one of the chapters of the day.

Not all the prayers will be applicable to you. You will need to personalize some of them. But they are good examples of how you can pray.

I came across a prayer sentence that I absolutely loved and will write it down to pray everyday. Conversely there were a few that I did not really understand. I hope some good editing fixed those.

This is my honest review based on the ARC received from the publisher.

A fantastic compilation of daily devotions. This would make a great gift. I received an advance ebook from the publisher and Netgalley and this is my unbiased review.

I received an advanced (uncorrected) copy from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. I do not feel some of the reviews are fair as they should know that a Netgally copy is promised perfect.

The book itself is well thought out and planned. I read the Bible verses specified and prayed the prayer the coincided with what I read. It was simple and straightforward. I likes it and would recommend it to friends.

This is a great resource for me to recommend to people who are planning to read through the Bible this coming year. This helps them take it further and pray through scripture as they are reading through it.

Thank you Net Galley for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for my opinion.

If you have wanted to read through the Bible in a year, in a systematic way, let this be your guide. Each day provides the references for an Old Testament, New Testament, and Psalms/Proverbs and then a short encouragement, or prayer, based on one of the references provided. I love the design and the colors used to embellish the pages. I highly recommend having a notebook or journal close by and allow yourself to get lost in God’s love letter to you this year.
I was given a complimentary copy from the publisher via NetGalley. All opinions expressed are my own, freely given.

I requested this because I thought it would help me read the bible, and what to read, on a daily basis. However, nothing is numbered and there are only small segments that really leave things out.

The devotionals were short and accompanied by a verse to read. It didn't appear to go in any real order, but the devotionals were contextually appropriate.

I love daily devotionals, so I always get soo excited to begin a new one. The concept of Pray through the Bible in a Year sounded wonderful to me: for every day of the year, this book selects a new topic, e.g. childlessness, saying goodbye, reasons to praise, temptation, islands, etc. Each assigns you a particular fragment of the Bible (you need a Bible), after which there is a short reflection and prayer.

While I love this format in theory, I personally did not like the way it came out in this devotional. First, the days aren't numbered, and without a table of contents, I basically have no idea where I am. Next, the title made me excited that I would have actually prayed through the whole Bible in a year, which doesn't happen because you only read very small segments selected for you by topic; therefore, you don't read from all of the chapters in the Bible. Finally, while I loved the cover, I didn't like the lack of illustrations.

Maybe it works for you, but I personally won't be using it for my next year's devotional. Instead, I would recommend The Bible Promise Book Devotional for Women from the same Publisher, which I really liked.
