This is supposed to be satirical (I think?) examination of 90s pop culture told from the perspective of a sort of accidentally cool cultural snob. It started with strong Ignatius J. Reilly vibes, but it just didn't get there for me. I laughed a little, though not as often as Smith was reaching for. This just landed with me as very self-indulgent. In some ways, that was clearly the point, but I disliked everyone and didn't really enjoy the ride. |
