This self-help book is so full of information about how to manage anxiety with food. It focuses on eating protein-rich foods and snacks to fuel your body. It contains lots of information about the causes of anxiety, which foods to avoid, and which foods are the best to eat. There are questionnaires to characterize your anxiety and worksheets you can download to help you keep track of what triggers your anxiety. It also gives great meal and snack ideas to help jumpstart a healthier you. I found this book to be very helpful in my journey to combat my anxiety issues.

Thank you to NetGalley and New Harbinger Publications, Inc. for the ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review!

I enjoyed this book! Good details into how to help keep anxiety at bay! Some information I felt is overused but over all I learned something new!

This was a fascinating and very practical read. It gave me a ton of insights about what makes our brains work better or worse and how to use that to our advantage.

I thkight this was a great overall look into ways to cut down on anxiety. My absolite favorite thing about this book were the little challenges to test out the advice given at the end of each chapter. I thought there was a very in depth explanation given for each concept and then the challenges offered a way to apply that knowledge. I'll definitely try to apply these knew tools to my daily life and see if they do help my anxiety levels.

I took away a few good pieces of information from this book, but if your anxiety stems from other legitimate health issues rather than your diet, all you'll learn is how to not feed your anxiety and make it worse. It isn't a cure all for anyone with anxiety.

I do have anxiety so I thought this would be helpful. I think some people will find it helpful but it just wasn't really into it.

One of the health practitioners I most trust to help my clients with their anxiety and depression is Kristen Allott, ND.

I have known Dr Allott, followed her work, and sent clients to her almost since I began my practice 15 years ago. I regularly use her suggestions to help my clients change their eating to reduce their anxiety.

Now she and Natasha Duarte have written a book so the knowledge she gives to her clients is available to anyone! Yay!

Fuel Your Brain, Not Your Anxiety: Stop the Cycle of Worry, Fatigue & Sugar Cravings with Simple Protein-Rich Foods is a well-written, easy to understand book that WILL help you improve your mental health.

The description of the brain and how food affects it makes it easier to make healthier choices for your mental health. I have changed my eating habits since I read this book for healthier sleep.

Among many other things you’ll learn:
• How our food choices contribute to anxiety, worry, and fatigue
• How a history of trauma affects how your brain responds to adrenaline
• Why moving makes us think better
• 30 second exercises to increase your energy

I enjoyed reading this book and though I wasn't able to do any of the workbook activities, I'll be keeping nutrition and exercise suggestions in mind as I move forward.

Some parts of this book were quite interesting, but others were pretty obvious and, for me personally don’t help with the anxiety such as the diet part. I already eat healthy, yet still get anxiety.

Thank you NetGalley for my complimentary copy in return for my honest review.

I understand that this is a workbook highlighting “diets” to help with anxiety, but as someone who struggles with anxiety and has for years now, the information in this book was not of use to me. I personally didn’t agree with a lot that was said, as there are many ways to help your anxiety that don’t include “high protein diets.”

I’m sure this book may be useful to some, but I also believe it can be hit or miss depending on who is reading it. I like how at the end of the workbook it includes worksheets, but this book just didn’t do it for me.
