I must firstly apologise for the amount of time it has taken me to provide a review of this book, my health was rather bad for quite some time, something that had me in hospital on numerous occasions and simply didnt leave me with the time I once had to do what I love most.

Unfortunately that does mean I have missed the archive date for many of these books, so It would feel unjust throwing any review together without being able to pay attention to each novel properly.

However, I am now back to reading as before and look forward to sharing my honest reviews as always going forward. I thank you f0r the patience and understanding throughout x

I loved the look of this book and the story itself proved to be as good! It is a really easy to read book. A really superb story and characters. Great ending.

Enjoyed this Emily Kerr's book about Alexa who lives in her duvet. If you can handle second-hand embarrassment and truly cringe-worthy moments, this book is for you, haha! It did get a bit much for me at times, but I ultimately still enjoyed it.

One heck of a rollercoaster ride - it's a bit far-fetched to think all this happens in just one day... However, the author makes it work, and it is a delightful romp through London once you get past the absurdity of the whole chain of events that leads Alexa onto this crazy day in her life. It's fun. Wouldn't say it's hugely LOL, but it is good fun nevertheless

It was so fun to read this book! First of all, I love the cover - it immediately draw my attention. I didn't know the author before, but I really enjoyed reading this book. It's a funny, lighthearted romance, perfect for either a rainy day with a cup of tea but also in the summer!

Omg this book was SO FUNNY! What a crazy and wild ride! I need to start by saying: this book was NOT what I expected it to be 😂😂😂. It was definitely so much more! What I expected: a day (literally) in bed, contemplating life, coming to realizations. What I got: the most ridiculous and funny adventure that has so many twists and turns you won’t even believe it lol.

I will absolutely read this book again and again and hope that I NEVER experience a day like this (even though it wasn’t all bad, my anxiety would be through the roof LOL.)

This story goes to show that the world is very small and you should get to know your roommates. Seriously, I feel like I can’t say much more or I would be giving stuff away. I hope you will give it a try, I hope it makes you laugh as much as I did!

Thank you to Emily Kerr, One More Chapter, and Netgalley for a gifted copy in exchange for an honest review!

A slightly disappointing read for me, as it was a little too chaotic and slapstick humour for my taste. I wanted something similar to Ferris Bueller's Day off but sadly it missed the mark.

Not what I'd expected. It started off slow and I found it a little dull and then it became too slapstick for my liking.

This checked off everything I look for in a book. Was not disappointed. Really enjoyed this book. I will read more from this author. Must read

This is a amusing romantic comedy. When life is very stressful and you need a duvet day, but the day you need, becomes the most eventful day of your life. The main characters mingle throughout the day, one dressed as a unicorn the other a journalist trying to do his job. This book has a bit of everything and definitely recommend this book, especially if your having your own duvet day.

This was a perfect escapism and light hearted rom com and the perfect easy read
To switch off from the world with. Alexa took a duvet day from work due to feeling stressed and overwhelmed and little did she know just how unexpected her day was going to turn out. Find out by reading duvet day and following her journey and be prepared for a few laughs and memorable moments along the way as she embarks on a day like no other. This was a new author for me and will certainly be looking out for more from them.

I enjoyed this amusing book, it was a quick read and I read part of it under my own duvet!

Alexa is an overworked and overwhelmed lawyer who just needs a day off to relax under her duvet. Her roommate is waiting to take advantage of her at work, so she has to convince her she’s really ill. Unfortunately, her best laid plans go awry as she gets locked out in her unicorn onesie, and spends the rest of the day trying to get back in so she can finish her Nutella and her Netflix show.

This book was really funny in places as Alexa had her adventures. I recommend it, 4 stars.

Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

This was a lighthearted read focussing on Alexa and her decision to take a sick day off work. She works for a busy law firm and is exhausted. What follows is a somewhat slapstick run of mishaps, that felt very far fetched and meant I struggled to engage fully with the story.

The authors writing style was good and I was shocked, at one point, at discovering I’d read 10 pages of text detailing Alexa’s desire to stay in bed.

This book wasn’t for me, but I appreciate the good writing style and am grateful for the advanced copy.

Fun, light hearted read. Perfect for your own duvet day. Proper laugh out loud moments all wrapped up in a unicorn onesie. Really enjoyable read. The escapades and colourful characters all add up to some fabulous escapism.

Thank you Netgalley

This is the story of Alexa, a junior lawyer in a prestigious London law firm, who decides to have a duvet day. The results are not only hilarious but also so typical of Murphy’s Law. If something could go wrong it would defiantly happen to Alexa today.

She somehow gets involved with protestors, becomes a stalker and runs riot through the streets of London while all dressed in her unicorn Onesie!

Absolutely a laugh out loud book which never stops and even when you start to get a bit sentimental with the characters, there is still humour in there. I seriously loved the characters and it will be a book I read again and again.
