I Know an Old Lady by Edward Miller provides a whimsical retake on the commonly known story. What makes this story standout are the amazing illustrations. Highlighting each thing the old lady swallows in rich detail and providing a preview of what is next is adorable. My almost four year old was mesmerized and adored this version of the well loved story. He laughed out loud at the ridiculous size the old lady had to grow to hold all she swallowed!
I was provided a free advance reader copy in exchange for my honest review from Net Galley. The opinions shared in this review are my own.

This is a fun new version of the classic song of the old lady who swallowed the fly. The illustrations are fun and it's a very interactive story.
Many thanks to NetGalley and Happy Fox Books for the advance copy!

An updated reimagining of There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly, this book is a cute board book with a kid friendly ending. Very silly and fun for the littles.

This is a funny retelling of the tale of that old lady who ate all sorts of absurd things. Eventually there is a veritable zoo in her stomach. Some children might worry about the fate of all those living creatures stuck in her innards but fortunately it's not based on a true story.
I like the one dimensional illustrations that could inspire some paper cutting crafts.

I received this e-ARC from the publisher through Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
Another in a sea of "I Know an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly" books, this one is nicely illustrated and cute, but owning numerous copies of this song already, I don't think there is enough different in here to make my feel like I need one more edition.

What a cute children's book! I will definitely be sharing this story with my student's during story time!

This was similar to I know an old lady who swallowed a fly but it was nice this didn’t talk about death. This is a favorite of my 4 year old and has cute illustrations.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for a copy of this book in exchange for my opinions.

I remember this book read to me as a child, so it’s really lovely to be able to pass this story to my nieces at bed time. The story is just as enjoyable as always and the kids loved it. They loved the illustrations and so did I. This is a great bedtime story that’s entertaining for young kids.

This is one funny rhyming book. Students will have fun to read it by remembering all the animal names and repeating the sentences. A fun book for nursery and kinders.

This will forever be one of my favorite children’s books. I still read it the same way it was read to me. It will always make me smile.

This is a super cute children’s book that brought back memories from when I was little. When I was little I read this book and really enjoyed it. I loved the artwork in this children’s book because it was so colorful! It will definitely keep children’s attention while they are reading it!

I was granted complimentary access to an eARC of I Know an Old Lady by Edward Miller through the publisher, Happy Fox Books, in exchange for an honest review through NetGalley.
I Know an Old Lady is an updated version of the classic nursery rhyme we all grew up with, "There was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly," but instead of ending each verse with "I guess she'll die" it questions and theorizes all sorts of different rhyming thoughts in that last line position.
The illustrations are cute. I love the combination of the flat coloured papercut look with overlayed patterns and textures. The pink and purple scheme is bright and fun, and I think kids will really enjoy spending a lot of time looking through these pages.

First things first, I want to say thank you for letting me relive my childhood through this book. This one was so much fun. I enjoyed it, and it was very funny. This was a great retelling to the original ones. The art style and the colors are great. The writing is well-done and very humorous. I loved the illustrations and had so much fun with this book. Overall, I loved it. This is a great children's book and can't wait for it's release. It's just a very funny book that all children will love.

I know an Old Lady is a cute book with a wonderful rhyme. The illustrations were vibrant and engaging. This would be a great book to read in a library or classroom setting or to read as a bedtime story. Thank you to NetGalley and the Publisher for the opportunity to read this book. (This review is also on GoodReads.)

This fun board book is one that kids will love. It is an updated version with a positive ending unlike the classic folk song that it is based on.
An old lady compulsively eats very bizzare things: a small fly, spider, bird, cat, dog, goat, cow, and finally a horse. That's a whole lot of absurdity that will make kid's giggle I'm sure.
The illustrations with die-cut elements are very well done and enrich the story greatly. This book will be enjoyed by both young and old as it is shared together. Miller is a published author and illustrator of several children’s books, including What Happens to a Hamburger?, the Sticker Stories Series, The Monster Health Book, and more! I recommend this book.

Now that's a funny one.
Because I don't think that old lady can swallow all those animals but it's a fun read.
The illustrations are really good with subtle colours.
I find the story bizarre but I can see what it is trying to explain the food chain in the animal world.
Thanks Authors and the publisher for the advance reading copy.

Read and reread to my grandson who is 6. We both thoroughly enjoyed this book. With lots of giggles about what the old lady swallowed and how large her tummy grew!! A fun read for your child and you!

Cute spin on an old favorite of my kids. Great illustrations that kept the kids entertained. Would definitely recommend!

A great version of 'i know an old lady who swallowed a fly' with no mention of death or dying which can only be a winner!
My 4 year enjoyed this story, and it made her laugh imagining how big her tummy was getting!
The illustrations were great too and she enjoyed looking for the animals.
