This book, centered around a woman with anesthesia induced amnesia, definitely benefited from the audio book treatment with different readers for the three main characters. Diana (the recovering patient), Cole (a very generous friend/lover), and Val (Diana’s lifelong friend), share the limelight as we cycle through the various chapters, and the readers are distinct enough to keep the listener engaged. This is important, as the book’s characterization can best be described as inconsistent.

Jonathan is one of the more poorly written characters in the book. At various times in the book he is vastly different, but he is a clear villain in Diana’s eyes. Harriet, Jonathan’s mother and Diana’s main support system, is a simply drawn enabler for most of the book. The relationships between the five characters feel more as though they belong in a romance novel than a mystery, which only makes sense given that the author’s name, Mina Hardy, is a pen-name for romance writer, Megan Hart.

The listener is bounced around between different characters’ perspectives and different timeframes. The plot moves very quickly as details are filled in, and we do feel some of Diana’s disorientation although one might ask why she doesn’t seem to question its nature enough. As the book nears its conclusion, the pace becomes breakneck and a major twist brings resolution. A seasoned mystery reader will have seen this coming for quite some time, and it is so over-the-top that the fun supplants any discomfort. Everything is then very nicely wrapped up in an epilogue.

In the end, AFTER ALL I’VE DONE is an engaging, quick book that benefits from good readers keeping the interest level up. It also benefits from a “go with the flow” listen rather than a lot of deep thought. Sex and violence keep it firmly out of the cozy realm, but it nonetheless has that sort of insubstantial feel.

Thrilling, chilling, edge-of-your-seat entertainment. This book sucks you in from the beginning! I love books with an unreliable main character and this book has exactly that – Diana. Due to an accident months prior she suffers from memory loss, and this adds to the suspense of the novel and I loved it! There are so many questions that demand answers…. What happened the night of the accident, was someone with her? Did she hit someone or something? Why is her husband sleeping with her oldest and best friend Val? So many questions and all will be revealed.

There are so many half-truths, deceit, lies, deception, and betrayals going on that it is hard to know who to believe and what to believe. A recipe for a great novel and I loved it! There is so much going on in this novel I found myself hooked right to the very end. And believe me, the ending is so shocking you will not see it coming! I loved that final twist!

I also enjoyed the various narrators of the novel, they really brought the story to life and it was easy to listen to them narrate the novel.

This was a real page turner of a suspense novel that centers on a woman recovering from a horrific car accident suffering from amnesia and nightmares that leaves her wondering just who she can trust. Her mother in law appears at first glance as a loving and caring nurturing type who only wants to help, which is necessary because when both of your collarbones are broken, even the simplest tasks like washing your hair is nearly impossible. The nurturing, caring facade quickly starts to feel clingy and obsessive. The husband and the best friend are sleeping together and not everything is as it appears. I even began to wonder who in this story I could trust.

As Diana begins to regain her memories and learns some shocking truths about her mother, best friend and husband, survival becomes her priority. This story shocked me on so many levels beginning with the revelation that Diana knows her husband and her best friend are having an affair and when the layers start getting peeled back, more surprises and shock ensues.

I thought Diana and Cole were good characters, easy to relate to but not sure about their relationship and whether Cole could be trusted at first. The story moves at a very good pace, keeping me engaged in the plot without getting too mired in irrelevant details.

My Final Verdict: I highly recommend this story to fans of the suspense or domestic thriller genres and also to readers who like to be surprised by unexpected twists in the plot that leave the reader’s pulse pounding.

An accident leaves Diana with memory loss and she finds that she's become dependent on her mother-in-law who lives on their property to get by each day. She knows her husband is having an affair but she knows there was something more to it all but she can't remember what.

This was a wild ride! I really enjoyed the narrators and thoroughly enjoyed that there was more than one. It made it so easy to follow along with who's chapter it was. I had my suspicions through the book on what was going on but never saw what was coming!

Thank you to Netgalley and Dreamscape Media for a copy of this audiobook in exchange for my honest review.

Fantastic audiobook!! Performed well and super engaging.
The plot of a main character having lost their memories but being pretty sure they did something bad is definitely very done but this author found a way to make the trope their own and I appreciated it.
I had kinda guessed what was happening in the book but I did not come even close to guessing the why or how things would wind up so I fully appreciated the book for this!
Very fun domestic thriller!

I had much higher hopes for this audiobook but I found it rather disappointing.

This story is about Diana Sparrow who was hurt in a car accident and has lost her memory from the months leading up to the accident. With an overbearing mother-in-law, an unfaithful husband and a best friend who is sleeping with her unfaithful husband I thought this would be more fun and thrilling but it wasn’t. Most of the book is Diana trying to figure out what is real and what isn’t but it kind of drags on. The ending wasn’t expected but felt like it came out of left field.

If you’re looking for an audiobook to listen to in the background and just pass the time then it’s a decent choice

Thank you to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for a copy to listen to. All opinions in this review are my own.

This was a new to me author and surprisingly a debut, I say surprisingly because this book kept me on the edge of my seat and I had a pit of tension in my belly all the way through this book! I don’t trust any of these 3 people telling this story they are all unreliable narrators and I don’t trust any of them!
Diane has been in an accident and has lost memories from a few months of her life and trying to figure out what happened in those months is driving her crazy, when she gets flashes of things and then there are things she does remember that she isn’t going to tell her husband or her best friend she remembers that they are having an affair. But did that have anything to do with the accident? Was she alone? What happened that night and the months leading up to it?
This book is twisty turny goodness and I look forward to anything else this author writes.
HOLY Crap that reveal!
Excellently narrated by, Angela Lin, Zura Johnson & Jay Aaseng. Each person did a great job and delineated every voice!

Highly recommend!

4 stars
I will be buying this one for my library!!

I really enjoyed the narration of this audiobook. The story seemed to drag in places, but it was still difficult to stop listening at times. It wasn't difficult to figure out who the 'bad guy' was, but with so many twists and turns you never new what was going to happen next!

This book was wild. I rarely read domestic thrillers because I can always guess what is going to happen. This did not happen in this book. There is a disturbing twist ending that no one can see coming. Imagine waking up after an accident and knowing only two things: 1) that you can't remember the last 5 months and 2) your husband is sleeping with your best friend. What happened the night of the accident? I listened to the audiobook version of this book and it was really good. The narrator really added to the suspense and added to the novel. I'm sure it would be just as good if you sat down and read it but I'm weird and enjoy listening to thrillers and horror books because I think of them as scary campfire tales. I am so glad that I was able to read this book.

WOW! The things that happened in this thriller were so unexpected that the moment I finished I wanted to restart. Hardy’s writing when it came to Diane’s confusion was absolutely amazing. I could literally feel the emotions in this thriller and felt just as anxious and confused as Diana trying to figure out what was going on. I never saw the twist coming and am telling everyone to pick this one up immediately. The audiobook was narrated so well and the readers gave the characters life. I enjoy when audio books have multiple readers for multiple perspectives. This book was phenomenal!

Have you ever finished a book and had to ask yourself “self, what did I just read (listen to)?” Because that’s where I am right now. This had more twists than Chubby Checkers. That ending though. Wowza. While I did figure some things out I definitely didn’t get the ending. I did feel like some things weren’t addressed or kind of skated over which is why this is a 4 star for me. I listened to the audiobook and I liked the narrators. It was easy to discern who’s pov you were hearing. This is one of those books that will stay with you a while. Seriously read/listen to this one and you will know what I mean.

Diana and Johnathan are married but there is trouble in paradise. Diana has been plotting with best friend Val to create a way out of the prenuptials.

Then, Diana is taken to the hospital for a stomach pain but on the way there a car accident occurs. She experiences amnesia and struggles to remember herself, her life and why her best friend won’t talk to her. Every recent memory is gone and the nightmares won’t leave. An overzealous mother-in-law may be more than she can bare. Although kind, Harriet can be a bit much sometimes.

She later finds the answers she’s been looking for but are they what she wanted to find or something so much worse.

This story kept me engrossed the whole way through and the ending through me for a loop. This is definitely great if you like mystery/thrillers and enjoy twisted endings.

I think that Megan Hart's alter ego, Mina Hardy is going to be a hit if this is what the rest of her books are like! I would give After All I've Done a solid 4.5 stars. The only reason I didn't give it a solid 5 stars is because the narration felt a little bit robotic to me.

After All I've Done brings you to life with Diana and Jonathan Sparrow after a car accident that leaves Diana without her short term memory and a series of medical issues related to the crash. You also get to meet Diana's best friend Val and and her mother-in-law, Harriet, who is suffocating to say the least (especially considering she lives in an apartment on their property and comes and goes as she pleases!) Last, we meet the mysterious Cole Pelhem. I think the author spent a great deal of time on character development, however, I did find myself having a hard time liking or identifying with any of the characters. I did feel sorry for Diana because all along I felt like someone was messing with her, hard core.

The story...it is not really like any that I've ready before. Of course, I've read stories about amnesia but not with all of the twists that this story has. I spent the majority of the book trying to figure out who was messing with Diana. I also spent a great deal of time thinking about the title and how it connected to the book, so in that I had thoughts about how the book ended but it still left me gasping!

I struggled with the narration of this book, especially at the beginning. I normally LOVE a book that is narrated by multiple narrators, so struggle through it was disappointing to me. It seemed to feel robotic...so much so, that at the beginning, I struggled to stay interested because it didn't feel like the story was flowing well. The book was narrated by Angela Lin, Zura Johnson, and Jay Aaseng so it's hard to tell where the issue was, but for me it definitely struggled. I'm also not sure if the issues were because it was an ARC or not, but hopefully that is the case. I do feel like it got better throughout the book, or at least maybe as I got more involved in the story I was able to forget about it!

Overall, I was super stoked after reading this book and can't wait to see what Mina Hardy (aka Megan Hart) comes up with next in this genre!

I would like to offer a HUGE THANK YOU to Mina Hardy, Dreamscape Media, LLC, and Netgalley for providing me a copy of After All I've Done, which has allowed me to give you this unbiased review.

I received an ARC from #Netgalley for an honest review of this title #afterallivedone.
First of all I will read this author again and will recommend this book to anyone who wants a twisty turning books that are hard put down. I read it in one day because I just couldn't stop.

The story begins with Dianna 5 months after a car accident where she was told she hit a deer and totaled the car that she loved. We are told she is having nightmares that do not make sense to her as well as having amnesia that basically wiped her memory from before the accident and she is fighting hard to get it back.

I was hooked from the get go. The story is full of unreliable characters, mysterious pieces of memories, and intrigue as to why isn't her best friend talking to her. The more you read the more you start to wonder if things are because of the accident or if Dianna is being gaslighted by all those in her life. Her husband and his mother seem very sketchy and as her memories come back, she sees everyone around her is lying. The ending is so unbelievably twisted it will leave you breathless and you will never see it coming. 4 1/2 stars

Diana is in a horrifying car accident that leaves her totally dependent on her mother-in-law with two broken collarbones and a case of memory loss that goes back by 5 months. When she comes home after her hospitalization, she realizes her husband is cheating on her...with her best friend, Val. What happened to their friendship that was unshakeable? She can’t shake that there is something wrong with the version of the car accident that has been explained to her and she has recurring nightmares where she thinks she is burying a body. This is a wild ride...buckle up.

Diana and Val are just the right of unlikeable and likeable. As our two narrators, we get lots of insights into their co-dependent friendship and individual perspectives. One of my wishes for this thriller would be that Diana’s husband, Jonathan, had a little bit more personality. I just couldn’t figure out what was so great about him that had Val and Diana both in his grasp. Hardy’s story is full of layers. Just when you think you are done uncovering all of them, she will do something wild like give you another narrator (Caleb) or throw in another subplot. The writing style was very addictive as you get sucked in to Diana and Val’s mindsets. I loved the fast pace that set the tone from the beginning all the way to the end. The last 20 pages left me with my mouth hanging open. This is a great winter read to get you out of a slump!

WOW I LOVED this book! One of the biggest twists that I don't think I would have ever seen coming. This book is a complete mindf**k and I loved it so much. The narrator's are fantastic and I would definitely be interested in either listening to this book again or actually reading it again soon. Fantastic read. I almost wish the end didn't come to a close so quickly after the climax, but I'm not sure how else it could have been ended and still been as effective.
