Diana suffers from an anesthesia induced amnesia. Five months ago, she was living her life, flying around in her red Cameron, when everything as she knew it changed. Sure, she was in a very unhappy marriage, but that had all been figured out. Then one night, that all changed. She was in a car accident destroying her car and had her gall bladder removed, causing an anesthesia induced amnesia, which left her forgetting the smallest of things. In her mind, she knows something is wrong, but can't quite put her finger on it. She doesn't even have her best friend since childhood to support her, as she's sleeping with Diana's husband. Thank God for her wonderful mother in law Harriet that is always there to take care of her. Diana tries desperately to pull back her past, even grasping at the horrid recurring nightmares she endures, hoping they're a clue as to what really happened the night of the accident. Despite her fervent attempts to unlock the past, she seems to merely hit more roadblocks as she seems to get closer to unfolding the pasts events. Someone knows the truth, but how far will they go to keep it from her?
I read this book via audio book. It was well written and I liked how it was told from a few different people's perspectives. I seriously did not see the ending twist by any means. This was a great book, though it did seem to start out a bit slow, it definitely delivered. I was given a free copy of this book by Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. I recommend this book and rate it ⭐⭐⭐⭐.

I'm glad I got this audiobook, I loved the writing style, it remind me of another author I adore Kerry Anne-King. The ending was like a dream, I could guess it the ending and figure out it's different when reaching the end. Because I knew it was going to go another direction, but I try anyway. I loved the way Diana dealt with her husband situation and how she kept it cool and pretending to be okay with it in the beginning. And Trina was obviously my least favorite character not because poor characteristic because she's not, it's because what she was doing as a "Best Friend". But I would read this book if I was dealing with the same situation, because I would of lost my cool on the two chapter everytime. But everyone has dealt with a best friend differently.

Thank you @netgalley and Mina Hardy for giving me the chance to review After All Ive Done. I really enjoyed this read, it had a great story line. Its not as dark as I normally like but it was a shocker. It kept me wanting more, to find out what had happened with the accident and what Dianne couldnt remember.

”People lie about everything...”

In After All I’ve Done, Mina Hardy expertly weaves together all the trappings of an intriguing domestic thriller - an unhappy marriage, a not-so-secret affair, multiple narrators (and someone’s unreliable!), dark family secrets, a past that won’t stay buried, and a conclusion you’ll never see coming!

”The accident didn’t kill me, but I have no idea how I’m going to survive it.”

Diana is recovering from an accident that left her body badly broken and her mind fragile. Huge stretches of her memories are missing - she doesn’t know what happened or why. Recurring, haunting dreams make her wonder if there was more than just an accident. Was she being threatened? Or was someone else being threatened by her? What she does know is that her husband is secretly having an affair with her former best friend, Valerie... and Val claims that Diana orchestrated the entire thing.

”Stop pretending you can’t remember.”

Packed with drama, intrigue, and suspense, After All I’ve Done pulled me in fast and kept me hooked until the very last chapter! The sudden appearance of a narrator-level character in the middle of the book, with no previous mentions of him until that point, was unexpected, and felt a little disjointed at first, but ultimately the story reconnected itself and everything came together in a satisfying way, with a final twist that I never could have predicted.

”I’m a liar. I’ve always been a liar, and it’s likely I always will be.”

Throughout the book, Hardy raises interesting questions about what to do and who to trust when you can’t trust the people closest to you, or yourself, or even your own recollection of events. If you're a fan of thrillers, this one is worth the read!

”It’s so easy to fall down this rabbit hole...”

After Diana gets in a bad car accident and has surgery she gets amnesia induced by anesthesia, she struggles with her memory and remembers some things like her husbands affair with her friend. When she starts having horrible nightmares she suspects that they are more than just a dream. This book was pretty good, it didn't pull me in as much as I'd have liked at the beginning but it started to pick up around the middle. Also the narration is GREAT, I really enjoyed the cast and the tone they gave the book. I did enjoy it and recommend it to fans of phycological suspense books. 3.5 stars

This book was fantastic and had me hooked from the very beginning. It was full of dastardly deception - exactly what you want from a thriller. While listening to the book, I had the feeling that Diana was being gaslighted and so it really kept me thinking and trying to piece it all together. All of the characters inthe book were suspects - the husband, the mother-in-law, the ex-best friend and even the hired investigator. Well, and then I got to the ending and the story went left. I definitely wasn't expecting that type of unhinged madness. I love a book that I cannot figure out and this one was so well done!

Bravo to Mina Hardy! This was a fast paced thriller, that had me enthralled from beginning to end...and what an ending it was! I listened to the audio version and the narration was fantastic.

Dark, twisty and an unreliable narrator sign me up! After All I've Done by Mina Hardy was such a fun listen. Hardy crafts a story I would almost believe and thought I could guess the ending to, but she kept adding twists and I was actually surprised at the end. I love thrillers, but hate knowing how they'll end after the first chapter. This wasn't a problem with After All I've Done.

What would you do if you woke up with two broken collarbones and no memory of several months? Diana has this experience and as she starts to put her life together, she begins to realize things may not be what they seem. If only she could stay awake or keep from feeling fuzzy long enough to figure out what happened to her.

Another great thriller! This one started off a little slow for me, but about halfway through it got really good quickly. It kept my attention and had me turning pages as fast as I could. It was a unique storyline that had a very surprising ending! I definitely recommend checking this one out! 4/5⭐️

The challenge with audiobooks is ALWAYS the narrator, not the story itself. If the narrator is great, the story seems great. If the narrator sucks, well ... the whole thing sucks. In this case, the narrator was bad. She was so formal and haughty ... why can't these audiobook narrators just read like normal human beings? No one speaks the way this was narrated! No one!

Next, we come to the issue that drives me INSANE! Female authors writing about women who are UNRELIABLE NARRATORS ... and who are unreliable because they drink. PLEASE. STOP. Women are not all drunks. Women do not act stupid and miss basic cues because they are drunk and emotional wrecks. Please stop writing them that way. And publishers, please stop encouraging these types of stories.

Despite the obvious character problems, the outcome was SO obvious. As an avid thriller reader, I pretty much figured out the story in the first chapter. :(

This was a generous round up to 3 stars.

I’m torn on how to review this story.

It was an exceptionally well crafted and entertaining read/listen (my review is on the audiobook version). The narrators were excellent… except for Cole. He was supposed to be 10 years younger than the mid-forties Diana and his voice sounded like a 50 something chain smoker. Yes, I do realize that in the story Cole smoked, however his voice still sounded a good 2 decades older than what his character was meant to be. Plus, to be completely honest, I believe the story could have easily been told with only Val and Diana’s POVs. Cole’s was an unnecessarily addition late in the book and for only a few brief chapters.

I’ve had this struggle with other psychological thrillers and I definitely had a read on exactly who the true “villain” here was long before the big revelation. For me, when I am reading a book that carries a psychological thriller tag, I am expecting a massive head canon moment where the entire script we’ve been fed is flipped on it’s head and everything we once knew is now actually a lie. Even if it isn’t quite to that degree, I still feel like I need that “whoa” moment and it was missing here.

The entire premise of a medically induced amnesia stealing away a very specific chunk of memories was absolutely fabulous and led to a brilliant story. With threads such as adultery, forbidden love, and passionate sex scenes, I’d much rather see After All I’ve Done listed as a women’s fiction or family drama.

Mina Hardy (the pseudonym for NYT bestselling author Megan Hart) is clearly a truly gifted author with beautiful prose and stunning story construction that are both an obvious testimony of her natural talent. While the ending was “meh” and the lack of reaction by the characters to what the villain’s machinations translated to in terms of what the implications were for Diana and her husband Jonathan was a bit unbelievable, this was still a story that drove me to listen more and kept me going until the very last page.

Through most of the book I thought this was going to be an average 3 star read. Enjoyable but not particularly surprising. But the reveals and twists at the end really bumped it up. Even though there were hints and suspicions I had. I could have never guessed the underlying motives.

The best way to subscribe this book is a domestic thrilling soap opera. You have Diana recovering from an accident with amnesia of the last few months. One thing she knows is that her husband is cheating on her with her ex-best friend. But wasnt that her idea and what happened to their plan. And she knows she should hate her overbearing mother in law but has no idea why.

Unfortunately, I had to DNF this at 41%. The plot was intriguing and taking some interesting turns but it also felt like it was taking a long time to unfold, however, this wasn't my reason for DNFing,

I read the audiobook version of this and the narration made the experience unbearable. The two female narrators' voices were grating, tinny, nasally and somewhat robotic and this hindered the listening experience terribly. So much so that I, obviously, could not finish the story.

Read. This. Book.

The End, that’s my review!

Okay maybe not, but still if you were a fan of Verity or Girl on a Train, than After All I’ve Done is for you!

I read this book back in the summer, when I needed a solid thriller to get out of a reading slump, and boy did it work! I’ve been anxiously waiting to share this book with the world and I can finally do just that!

Diana Sparrow is recovering from an accident. An accident that she can’t remember and has caused her to not remember anything leading up to or after the accident. She’s finally recovering but her life is nothing like she remembers. Her best friend is sleeping with her husband. She’s taken up art again. And she can’t help but feel connected to a man she’s never met.

I love a good multiple POV story line and this book delivered. Told between present and flashbacks and between both Val & Diana’s view points, we learn alot about both women’s history. We also have a third narrator, but I won’t spoil who that is.

None of our main characters are exactly likable which really adds to the unreliable narrator vibe. Because of this I never felt like I had a good grip on the story, which is exactly what I look for in a good psychological thriller. My only negative for the story was the ending wrapped up way to quickly for my taste but ultimately didn’t impact my rating on the story, since I was just blown away.

I don’t want to spoil the story so I’ll leave it at that. I loved this story so much ★★★★★ big freaking stars for this book!

This was a fun thriller.
I normally feel like I can tell what the twist is going to be in many thrillers because there are so many released and talked about each and every month.
This is actually an few month old, but this was a fun one.
At first I thought I wasn't going to enjoy this book, and I think that was due to the narrator's voice. There are two voices, male and female, but the female one sounded so robotic and a bit echo-y. I pushed through and the plot of the story ended up keeping my interest.

This is a story about Diana, who is in a bad state after a care accident. I will say this does have the "crazy" woman theme in it, but it isn't quite what I expected. Rather than Diana being crazy (she is suffering from memory loss) its actually her mother-in-law who is totally insane.

Diana and her husband were unhappy in their marriage, and she created this elaborate plot with her best friend Val to get her husband to cheat on her--with Val. They didn't expect Val to actually fall in love with him and they really didn't expect Diana to forget the entire scheme after her accident.

Turns out all of this was actually kind of smoke in mirrors because the before and after the car crash, the insane mother-in-law was poisoning Diana's food and keeping her ill in order to take care of her. There are even more event twists at the very end that left me aghast. It was a fun tale, and oh someone does die too, so be prepared for that!
What a crazy thriller and fun paced book to read in the new year!

I received an advanced copy of this audiobook, from the publisher through netgalley, in exchange for an honest review. This book is well written and the characters are described well . The pacing was good. I enjoyed the main character Diana. The author did a great job writing this book. It has all the twists a thriller should. It will keep you on the edge of your seat from the first minute of this audiobook. The narrators did a great job reading this book. This audiobook is in stores now for $24.99 (USD). I would highly recommend this audiobook to anyone and everyone.

After all I have done, is a great book that I would recommend to read. This book is a twister at the end, the kind I like. The characters voices are whiny and grate on the nerves. They are perfect for the characters. But I could not listen for a length of time, too grating. This book would be a great read

Another sublime domestic thriller that kept me glued to the audio and eager to know how it would end. My only disappointment was that I guessed one of the major twists but there was another that I didn't see coming.

If you enjoy psychological thrillers told in the first person, with a sense of unease and foreboding throughout, you may want to check this one out. Told from alternating perspectives - Diana Sparrow, who has amnesia after a car crash and is in an unhappy marriage to Jonathan; Val, Diana's best friend who is having an affair with Jonathan; and Cole, a man who enters the story later and befriends Diana. The plot is cryptic, unsettling and suspenseful. Diana encounters roadblocks and deception as she tries to piece together her life before the accident and figure out what's really going on.

The audio performance was quite good with three different narrators. My only disappointment was that dialogue between characters was at times confusing during Val's narration as the narrator did not change her voice so I was never sure who was saying what.

Over all, the book was worth the read and I recommend the audio version. A gracious thank you to Dreamscape Media and Netgalley for an advanced audio copy in exchange for an honest review.

I did not enjoy the book. As a result, I did not post a review publicly.
The narrator for Diana was very robotic. The rest of the narration was good.
The story was just too ridiculous and disgusting (the 'twist' at the end that I saw coming but hoped I was wrong). Not for me.
