I enjoyed the ending of this book, which made it worth the read! Actually, there was a lot to appreciate here but some things ended up getting in the way, and overall, I really just wanted to be a bit more engaged in the mystery of everything along the way. The ending was definitely surprising, but it was another one of those books where it was SO surprising that I almost felt a little too removed from it once I knew how the rest of the book went. It just made it feel a little inconsistent, I guess.

Up until the ending, I wasn't sure if I really was interested enough in another Jeneva Rose book, but the twist was really interesting and got me thinking about future books!

Woah, this was a fun read to listen to with the many twists and turns.

Sarah is a world class attorney who agrees to take on her husband, Adam, when his mistress is found stabbed to death. With everyone pointing to Adam, it is her job to make sure that he is pointed as not guilty. But will she able to prove anything before Adam loses control?

With the back and forth point of views, it was a beautiful use of multinarrators. This book was captivating and I was left wanting more.

Omg, have you guys read this book ? If you haven’t, you must.
I don’t know where to begin. I listened to this book while I walked, cooked and cleaned. I completely ignored everyone around me.
It was a sneaky story about lies, deception and revenge. I was absorbed entirely. The twists will shock you.
And the ending….it’s explosive. I was completely caught off guard. So clever and excellent writing. The last few chapters are crazy. Looking forward to reading more from Jeneva Rose!

I am an avid reader and have been for many, many years. I do not go anywhere without at least three different reading platforms available to read or listen to something, anytime or anywhere. I listened to The Perfect Marriage and was completely drawn in from the first chapter. I thought I knew where it was going, I changed my mind, again thought I had it figured out, and when the ending came, I was completely blown away by the twists and turns. As I've noted, this was an audiobook and the narrator was very good. My attention was unflaggingly captured, and I am most definitely going to be looking for e-books and audiobooks by this author. Thank you, Netgalley and the various publishing houses, for providing the opportunity to listen/read books anywhere I am.

Adam and Sarah seem to have the perfect marriage. But as we all know as perfect as a marriage seems usually means that there’s something really wrong. Now Adam is upset that Sarah works so much and he doesn’t really make any money she makes all the money. He wants her to spend more time with him but he also wants her to pay for this nice fancy getaway house That he can use to write. But he ends up shortly after buying the house meeting a girl in this town and becoming involved with her both of them are married and he is likely going to leave his wife for her.

The girl ends up being murdered she stabbed like 37 times and he ends up being the lead suspect. Now she is an attorney and so she takes on his case even though it’s a conflict of interest. So she goes to the police who are investigating and try to get them to target the third person that seems to have been with this girl at some point and So there’s three Men who DNA left inside of her Adams her husband Scott who is a police officer and another man that they’re trying to figure out who’s it is.

So throughout this whole process she is trying to be strong and stand there by her husband and a lot of people assume that she is in or just a victim here and they think that her husband really did it and she is trying to fight this case for him but he keeps going and doing crazy things Like breaking his house arrest and then once he is arrested he is sneaking out and escaping. Just all the things that you wouldn’t want a client to do and someone that is innocent probably wouldn’t do. But he is determined to find a way out here out of this and doesn’t think that his wife has his best interest at heart he even hires a reporter that gives him some information on is mistress in her past life and the people in it.

This was so good I had no idea what was going on maybe I’m crazy but that did not hit me. I think I thought this was done really well and I was so off track whenever I was thinking who did it. Although at the beginning that person was a suspect for me but I can’t to quickly went away without any evidence obviously just The way they acted I guess and the alibi.

I had no idea the extent dedication this person had and all the other assorted details in it that the ending really gave out. I had no idea that any of that was happen is kind of weird I mean I’m not saying it couldn’t happen just so I have no indication of a happening at all kind of makes you wonder.

I may end up listening to this one again just to see if I see anything that I didn’t before knowing what I know now is interesting to see what what I missed.

I think that Neil Hellegers and Teri Schnaubelt did a fantastic job with the narration on this book. And I will definitely listen to something of theirs again.

Thank you to Dreamscape Media and NetGalley for providing me with an advanced copy of this audiobook.
The Perfect Marriage is a domestic thriller that will keep you guessing until the end. Throughout the book, my guesses of 'whodunit' shifted from person to person. I love a story that keeps me guessing until the final twist (also, the narration added another level of enjoyment to my overall experience). I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a page-turning thriller.

Sarah Morgan is a successful, high-powered defense attorney in Washington DC. Her husband, Adam, is an author still looking for the same kind of success that his wife has found. Their lives are not perfect, but pretty close. Until one day they arrested Adam for the murder of his mistress, they found her body in Adam and Sarah's lake house. Sarah has to defend her husband in the most important case of her career. There are twists and turns in every step of the investigation. Will Sarah be able to get her husband acquitted of this crime or will their lives be forever ruined?

It surprised me at how fast The Perfect Marriage hooked me. From the very first page, Sarah Morgan was an empathetic character with a louse of a husband. Over and over Adam proved himself to be unreliable and selfish. He was just as easy to hate as Sarah was easy to like. Sarah fought so hard for Adam's innocence, and I wasn't sure why. I am not sure that I would have been so generous. The end did provide a huge twist that left me speechless. - CLICK HERE FOR SPOILERS Stick with the book to the very end, because that is where everything you thought you knew is proven wrong.

Bottom Line - The Perfect Marriage is a domestic thriller that has a slow burn. Nothing too exciting happens until you get to the very end and then it will blow your mind!

I love domestic thrillers and mysteries and this was another one of them. This book follows a married couple where a third party is murdered and the dynamics of the protagonists’ marriage leads to suspicions about who the killer is. This one kept me on my toes, was interesting, and not obvious. There were some side parts of the story and characters that seemed unnecessary, but as a whole I liked this book. 4 stars. Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the advanced copy for review.

A Perfect Marriage
2.5 Stars!

What started out as a great concept, quickly became “A Perfect Disaster” in my opinion unfortunately. The characters were all completely unreliable and frankly unlikable, I didn’t care about a single one of them. And when I can’t connect to a character I can’t connect to a story.

What was worse though was the lack of realistic police work and procedure as well as attorneys, trials and legal procedures. I could not suspend disbelief and just go with it because it was much too ridiculous. I could barely stop rolling my eyes at the way the characters conducted themselves.

Lastly, the ending, seemingly to get the reader to go OMG and gasp, instead made me angry and disgusted. I mean come on now, does the punishment actually fit the crime? Is there anyone in this story that isn’t despicable? I just can’t stop shaking my head.

When a lawyer finds herself working for her cheating husband in his trial for murder of the "other woman," you know you are about to be diving into a page-turner. This book combines all things that make a compelling book, family drama, murder, and a courtroom. Definitely recommend this book! Thank you to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for a copy of this book for an honest review.

I will always read anything by Jeneva Rose. This book was one of the best thrillers I’ve ever read in my life. I loved the dual narrators between Sarah and Adam and I loved how I was kept guessing until the very end. Eleanor was atrocious and I loved how Sarah put her in her place when needed. I can’t wait to see this on the big screen!
