Wow!! I picked up my Kindle a few hours ago and I read the whole book.

Ivi leaves her small town in Estonia to become a nanny for a celebrity's kid for 6 months in order to raise money for her true passion. Never did she expect to be the nanny to the unknown son of Tyler Lee Adams, rockstar legend. Upon their first meeting, he stumbles in thinking that she spent the night with him, and now he wants her out. When he finds out that his manager hired her to watch his 10 year old son he never met, Jeremy, while the boy's mom is on a business trip; he's shocked.

Ivi has no problem taking care of Jeremy, but dealing with Tyler and the rest of his entourage, is something else. She creates a "swear jar" for everyone to contribute to when they use unacceptable language around Jeremy. She loves Jeremy, but getting father and son to connect is a big goal of hers.

What she never expected to happen was to get to know the real Tyler and fall in love with him as well.

When Jeremy goes back to his mom's, Ivi gets ready to travel to Nepal to help after an earthquake. Will he ask her to come back to him in a month? Or will what they shared together be a once in a lifetime affair?

A must read!

I liked it, but didn't like it so much to pick up the next book. The writing style wasn't my favorite.

A really nice feel-good and wholesome rock romance, with low angst, low steam and an all around cast of great characters. Both main characters, Ivi and Tyler and level headed and fun to read about. Unplugged is told solely from Ivi's POV and it is part of a duet and ends in a cliffhanger.
Ivi is a simple, fun, smart girl coming from a small town in Estonia. She does a lot of volunteering work all over the world, helping fight against poverty and human trafficking. In order to save some money for her next mission, she takes a 6-month job as the nanny for Tyler's 10 year old son. Tyler is a famous rock star, just getting to know his kid.
This book has a bit of everything: witty banter, hate to love vibes, passion, funny moments. There are a few communication issues but I liked how down to earth and self confident Ivi is. She decides to live in the moment and that is very refreshing.
I also apprecited the commentary on inequality, poverty, the need to volunteer. All in all, a very entertaining and fun book!

Ivi, in between charitable missions, goes to work as a nanny for six months. When she realizes that she is the nanny for a rock god, Ivi is excited but Tyler sure does not want her to stay. Over the six months that she nannies for him, they grow closer together and feelings get blurred. At the end of her time though, she must leave to go on her mission.
Opinion
Who doesn’t like stories about music legends? We’ve all dreamed of being the one to catch our idols eye. This story tells how a normal woman does just that. Getting to live vicariously through Ivi was a fun ride.
With book two coming out at the end of the year, I look forward to finding out what happened after the mission trip.
Many thanks to Net Galley for providing me with an ARC of this book.

3 stars

This was okay. I wanted to liked it more but I just couldn't. The romance felt too rush and instalovey and like I was reading the hea and although I do like to read about happy ever afters I also like to see some struggles and I feel like with this one I didn't.
Its a shame because this had potential to be awesome.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publishers for the chance to read this book in exchange for an honest review

Thank you to NetGalley and BooksGoSocial for the eARC in exchange for an honest review.

What a refreshing change of pace this bok was and got me out of my 2-star slump.

Ivi has left Estonia for the bright lights and big city of LA to become a nanny for a 10-year-old where the people around him are trying to keep him out of the limelight of his Rock Star Father Tyler Lee Adams.

At 12% in which is about 5 chapters, my thoughts were what a complete and utter arsehole Tyler is. What a quick and stupid judgement I made there. Although their first meet I think would put everyone in the same place I was.

As much as I like Ivi and Tyler, I had to say like Ivi, I fell in love with 10-year-old Jeremy. He was so quick-witted and intelligent sometimes it was easy to forget just how old he was.

The romance in this was swoon-worthy. It didn't take long for Tyler to get over himself and let Ivi know the real him. It was adorable when she mentioned her passion in passing, and he went away and looked it up so they could have a conversation about it. Honestly, at some points, my ovaries felt done for.

This is a book I would highly recommend and will give you cavities.

Unplugged #1 is a really enjoyable book. I read it in just a couple of days. The plotline is nice. The characters are interesting. But I really expected some more "pathos". I expected more passion and some more turning points. Almost from the beginning it was far too predictable.
That's too bad, because I really liked the basics, but I really needed more.
I will read the sequel hoping that the second part brings some troubles to the two lovebirds!
Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for allowing me to read this book.

I received a copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for my honest review. Thank you NetGalley!

The cover of this book is simple but eye-catching. The water-color aspect is beautiful.
The characters are well-developed and easy to relate to.
The storyline was beautiful and easy to follow.
I found myself wanting to read more and more.

I'd definitely purchase a copy and check out other books by the author.

I'm gonna be brutally honest: I really didn't much like this book. It'd been sitting there, on my TBR shelf since April, 2015 (I know, sacrilegious), and between that, the pretty cover and the fact that a free copy was available for review, I thought YOLO (cringe) and jumped straight in with both feet. There wasn't that much of anything to cushion my fall, let me tell you.

In a nutshell, the plot is girl meets boy, girl and boy have the hots for each other, girl and boy get together. That's it. No jealous exes, no well meaning family members trying to keep them apart, no crazy fan threatening to kill anyone, no emotional baggage acting as the metaphorical stone in the road and providing an obstacle for our lovebirds to overcome in their search of happily ever after (there wasn't even a pebble). Nothing. There was nothing. Also, that "long, excruciating recruitment process" mentioned in the blurb? Nowhere to be found. I was expecting excitement and intense high and lows, and instead I received dull, slow and uneventful.

So, by the halfway point I was already over it and wanting to be done with the whole thing. The last 20% was especially painful in its repetition, endlessly cycling between Ivi's (the protagonist) inner monologue of "ILHSM! Wanna be with him forever" and "I don't think he wants me. This was doomed from the beginning". Like, girl, c'mon, what are you? 14? Take matters into your own hands, take life by the horns and carve the path of your own destiny! Take the initiative, be decisive! Fight for what you want. Speak your mind. Do something and stop wallowing!

I appreciated the fact that Ivi was Estonian, but nationality isn't a personality trait and it otherwise didn't really come up or affect the story in any way. For that matter, none of the characters had any type of a distinct personality. Here's what I picked up:
*Ivi: Estonian/knitted socks girl.
*Tyler: musician, scruffy, hot.
*Jeremy: walking Wikipedia.
*Jay: smiles & furniture.
Other that that, everyone smiled A LOT and was consistently very nice and pleasant.

I also kinda liked the non explicit, tasteful sex scenes. But brooding, swooning and sex is not a strong enough foundation to build a good story on. Also, this book is sorely lacking a thorough editing. There are so many instances of improperly used english and wrong words used in their given contexts. For example: "[feeling] swooned", Tyler being "hollowed" somewhere, instead of "holed up", etc. And again, I appreciate the writer is, perhaps (I don't actually know), a native English speaker (I'm not either), but that's the whole point of having an editor, isn't it?

To sum up, the writing was fine, if a little overly embellished and repetitive, the plot was basically non existent, the characters were flat and I didn't much care for them, the editing was lacking. I sadly don't see myself picking up the next book.

Ivi is a young Estonian who travels to the US to be a nanny for 6 months. She wants to raise money so she can help building a school in Nepal. She finds young Jeremy is the child of rockstar Tyler Lee and he is wise beyond his 10 years. At least, he sprouts all kinds of trivia so you would think so.

I must admit I was a bit disappointed as I have just read this author's book 'By Mist@ake' which I really enjoyed and this was quite different. The writing was a bit off, I felt a bit lost between chapters. Ivi is a nanny - according to the blurb highly trained - but she walks around without a bra while taking care of a 10-year-old boy and ignoring requests of her boss to dress herself more appropriately. I thought that was real odd. Also, it seemed every man she meets is enthralled by her. I just did not like the vibe of the story and how things played out.

I think this book was just not my cup of tea. It might be the author has changed her style since this book is a bit older.

Sigal Ehrlich is my new favorite Author.

You know you're reading a wonderful book when you aren't even halfway through it and check Goodreads to see if there is a sequel. You also cancel any upcoming plans and lock your door. That is how good this book is.

Ivi Kert has traveled to Los Angeles from Estonia to be a Nanny for six months. She needs to raise money for a trip she is taking with her organization to build houses for those who have lost houses because of a tornado in a South American country. She meets Jeremy first, who is really the star of Unplugged. I picture him as the wise little boy in The Ring Movie. He is incredibly smart and aware and wins over ivi right away. But once she meets Tyler Lee Adams, world famous rockstar and father to Jeremy, is when her world is turned upside down. That very first scene with Tyler Lee is alternatively hilarious and a little frightening.

This is a beautiful romance. There is a slow burn that is realistic and definitely keeps the reader on their toes. I love that sometimes you want to hate Tyler and other times you can't believe great he is. Ivi is unique as she is Estonian and has grown up to take care of herself and not let anyone take advantage of her, including her Boss. Sigal Ehrlich knows how to develop her characters into proper people that the reader wants to get to know better.

This book ends in a cliffhanger, but don't worry! There is a sequel that you will begin reading immediately.
