The Buchanan sisters are working hard to meet their deadline to reopen the Juniper inn that they now own. Rose, the youngest sister is willing to do anything she can to make this new venture a success for her family and especially her Aunt Sassy who gave them the inn. Along with working on renovations and planning a party for Sassy, two of the sisters are struggling with their feelings for two handsome men in town. When Lillian, the girls mother comes to town will she just fuel the long feud that is going on between her and Sassy? Will she ruin everything the girls worked so hard on?

I loved the first book in the series and this book just continued my love of the Juniper Inn and the Buchanan family. The story was sweet, funny, tender, loving and heartwarming. I adored the love stories that were going on, especially when Sassy joins the love train. This book has all the ingredients for the perfect story and Sara Richardson wrote it beautifully. I am already excited for the next book in the series. My thanks to the author Sara Richardson, Forever ( Grand Central Publishing) and Netgalley for a advanced copy to read.

This is continuation of the story. First book was Home For Holidays. You don't have to read first book, but it helps.
Enjoyed reading about sisters and their life.

Sassy was going to be 70 years old, and she decided to give her nieces her inn. The girls arrive at the inn and plan on fixing the inn up and inviting some of the guest who stayed there before to a grand reopening and the celebration of Sassy's birthday.
I enjoyed reading about all the people, and one of the reasons was because they were you and me. Even though they were capable of so much, sometimes they didn't see themselves that way. When something went wrong, it was you go do this, and I will fix the roof, even though she didn't have a clue. It didn't matter, she did find a way to get it done. Even Colt, he was handsome, owned his own business but was shy and not quite sure of himself. Then there was Sassy, and she lived life, and she decided what she would do, and it cost her, her sister, and they didn't speak for a decade. At almost 70 she was still living her life, her way, and she was still doing amazing things.
This is a down to earth story, even when things don't go according to plan, you still keep moving forward, and you don't give up. Sometimes what you are fearing most isn't nearly as bad as facing them and finding out.

Sara Richardson will always write such a wonderful story that hits me in the feels and keep it realistic. Plus, she’s made sure to add a little a Christmas joy in The Summer Sisters, and I, of all people, will never object to a little Merry Christmoose in July.

I missed Magnolia like something fierce, but I’m glad it was realistic to where she’s not hanging out in demo day after giving birth only two weeks ago. I also liked how we focused more on Sassy instead and got to know her a bit more. She has the biggest heart, and it was so nice to her recognized and appreciated.

Also, the companions in Juniper Springs have always been swoon worthy. Patient, kind, lovely. Oh Ike, Colt, you little angels, I adore y’all.

I love this series, and I cannot say anything else that hasn’t already been said. Home for the Holidays was amazing. The Summer Sisters was equally as endearing and amazing. Thank you so much Forever for the gifted copy. The Summers Sisters is out today, and I think it’s the perfect start to a wonderful summer. ❤️

#HomefortheHolidays was a perfect Christmas book but one I also became invested in. I fell in love with the Buchanan Girls and was thrilled to revisit them in #TheSummerSisters.
.
I love the two generations of sisters in this, the message of finding your self worth, forgiveness, family first and second chance at love no matter the age. I love these strong women who have all reached breaking points in their life and with each other choose to find their happiness and reach for their dreams no matter how big or small.

ARC for honest review with no compensation Received from NetGalley 4.5 stars

The Summer Sisters is book 2 in the Juniper Springs series by Sara Richardson, a continuation of the Buchanan sisters and Aunt Sassy.

The sisters are determined to have a long overdo family reunion between their mother and Aunt Sassy but first they need to get the Juniper Inn updated so they can re-open…but one thing after another happens.

Once you starts reading you can’t put it down. Family relationships, friendships, divorce, dilemmas, heartbreak, romance is just some of what is happening…

Dahlia, Magnolia and Rose are the Buchanan sisters and have recently inherited the Juniper Inn in Colorado. Dahlia and Rose have moved permanently to Juniper Springs and renovated the Inn during the spring.  Now set to re-open, a big celebration is planned.  Magnolia has recently delivered baby Luca and arrives just in time for the reopening and Sassy’s surprise birthday celebration.

Sassy has returned home early from an extended trip abroad after experiencing headaches and dizziness for the past several weeks.  With a family history of a brain tumour, she fears the worst. She decides to seek medical attention and determine a diagnosis before she needlessly worries the family.

Sassy’s older sister Lillian is mother to the Buchanan sisters.  A major disagreement has had these two women estranged for the past two decades.  When Lillian suddenly appears before the re-opening, the sisters decide a reconciliation of their mother and their aunt is long overdue.

Romance is abound in Juniper Springs and both the older generation and younger generation of sisters find love. But with any romance, it’s not always free of complications.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book.  Told from the perspectives of Rose, Dahlia and Sassy, there was plenty of storylines to keep me engaged.  The book flowed effortlessly with relatable, likeable characters.  The descriptions of the Inn and the property on which it stands set the scene for the tranquil read I was hoping for.

While some of the romances were carried on from the first book in the series, I was especially taken by the new love found by the older sisters.  Love and romance books that represent this age group are challenging to find, and I commend the author for this narrative. Moreover, it is such a pleasure to read a book with characters that respect as well as provide care and compassion to one another.  This truly reflects what a family is to me.  I look forward to reading about the Buchanan family in Book 3 of the series.

I would say that I always find stories about family very fascinating and this second book on the Juniper Springs series did a superb job not only to highlight the bond between the Buchanan sisters; Rose and Dahlia, but also to finally dig deeper and end the long withstanding feud between their mom and their Aunt Sassy. If you love Home for the Holidays, I am 100% sure you will adore this book. It talks about family, reconciliation, believing and having faith in each other, friendship, and everything else in between. This is a delightful and charming read you wouldn't want to miss!

The Summer Sisters picks up months after Home for the Holidays left off. I had enjoyed the first book and was not surprised that I liked the Summer Sisters just as much. The book gives a proper happily ever after to Dahlia and Rose. It also gives a great story for Aunt Sassy too. I enjoyed revisiting the Juniper Inn and Buchanan sisters. I loved Rose the most. I found her to be such a fun character. The ending gave a very satisfying happily ever after. I would love to see the Juniper Inn be a setting for more books so we can get updates on the sisters. I received an advance copy from NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I adored Home for the Holidays and really enjoyed the continuation of these sisters story in The Summer Sisters.⁣

Sassy has always been a spit fire with a heart of gold and I loved this watching her continue to blossom and be so filled with love.⁣

I also loved watching Dahlia and Rose grow as women even more so in this book and was so happy that they were trying to find love again after calling off an engagement and a divorce. These sisters have the greatest bond. It made me wish I grew up with a sister.⁣

So many wonderful life lessons in this story of family, trust, the importance of communication and most of all love, in so many beautiful ways.⁣

Thank you @readforeverpub for an ARC for my honest review.⁣

I never had a sister but this book made me wish I had one. The author has a sensitive way of writing in which the reader cares for the characters while the story itself remains an uplifting escape. Although technically a sequel, as a reader I was never left in the dust and what must have been plot reminders from the first book flowed well within the story so I have no hesitation in saying this can be read as a standalone. This was a quick read that was hard to put down and I recommend it to anyone needing some happiness and happily-ever-afters in their life.

A special thank you to the publisher and to Netgalley for the eArc in exchange for an honest review.

This was such a great continuation of the Buchanan sisters story and a return to Juniper springs. I loved how we got to see the stories continue for each of the 3 sisters we met in the previous book but that we we also get to see both their Aunt Sassy and their mother Lillian get a second chance at love and also at healing their long held feud. These characters are perfectly imperfect, have a very strong family bond and give readers sense of hope and love.

This story is continued from Home for the Holidays, follows the same three sisters and the inn they are restoring. Each sister has her own journey, and this book gives a lot of attention to Rose, Dahlia (and her kids) and the relationship between their mom and Aunt Sassy. As the sisters plan the final touches of the renovations and the grand re-opening celebration, they also face the rift that has kept the older generation from being on speaking terms for years.

The multigenerational aspects really shone through in this book (where the first book was more about the sisters reconnecting with each other). Aunt Sassy lives up to her name and brings a fun light to the town. I loved (and found myself heartbroken) with the choices that led to the rift between the elder sisters.

This was a super sweet story, which after reading the first book is exactly what I was banking on. All the characters are dealing with very different situations and as narration jumps between them, the focus remains on each woman. As each of these books progresses I have fallen in love with this family and their stories and enjoy each new addition.

Quaint, uplifting, and delightfully addictive!

In this second novel in the Juniper Springs series, The Summer Sisters, we head back to the idyllic Colorado mountains and into the lives of the Buchanan sisters as they navigate the ups and downs of relocating, renovating their beloved Juniper Inn, smoothing old familial grudges, fresh opportunities, and blossoming new love interests.

The writing is expressive and fluid. The characters are genuine, reliable, and compassionate. And the plot, including all the subplots, is an immersive, enchanting tale about life, love, family, determination, kindness, forgiveness, self-discovery, contentment, friendship, and romance.

As some of you may remember, Home for the Holidays was one of my top reads for 2020, so when I heard Richardson would be writing a second book for the wonderful characters in Juniper Springs, I was beyond ecstatic, and she didn’t disappoint. The Summer Sisters is another thoughtful, emotive, beautiful tale with a lot of heart, hope, humour, and happiness that I am happy to say I absolutely devoured and is certainly one of my top reads of 2021.

Thank you NetGalley, Sara Richardson and Forever (Grand Central Publishing for the copy of The Summer Sisters. This is my personal review.
This is the second book in the Juniper Springs series. I love this one as much as I did the first book!
This is such a wonderful book about the Buchanan sisters and it focuses on Rose the youngest sister. But the other sisters are so much a part of the story I really loved the intertwining of them all.
I was so lost in this beautiful book I was sad to reach the last page.
I connected with everyone in the story. The author pulled me in and kept me there.
Get your copy of this book - you will be so glad you did.

Need a virtual vacation? Take a trip to Juniper Springs and visit the Juniper Inn!

This book is the second in this series centered on Aunt Sassy McGrath and her three nieces. We met them last year when the sisters banded together to save the inn for the aunt they love so much, and this year the inn is ready to greet its first guests since Rose managed the remodel.

Rose has worked really hard to get the inn ready while Aunt Sassy took an extended trip with Colt, the son of her now-passed boyfriend. When Sassy and Colt return, sparks pick up a’flyin between Rose and Colt! There is also a romantic storyline between Dahlia and Ike, the town doctor, but you’ll get no spoilers on either from me. ☺️

This was a sweet and lovely book, looking forward to the rest of the series! Thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this book, but my opinions are my own.

Clean and Thoughtful Mountain Romance
I was expecting more women's fiction than romance and this book is the other way around. The romances are clean with just kissing. The relationships are all very complex. Three generations are getting their lives back where they want them. This is the second in a series, but plenty of background is given so a new reader is not lost. The characters are all true to life. Even the small children act as you would expect. The ending was lovely and heartwarming. I received this ARC book for free from Net Galley and this is my honest review.

Dally and Rose move to Juniper Springs Colorado to update and re-open their Aunt Sassy’s resort cabins. They are surprising their Aunt with newly updated cabins, and an open house on her 70th birthday. In an attempt to repair a broken relationship between their mother Lilian and Sassy, the girls bring Lilian to town for the open house. Will the broken relationship mend? And who will find love in an unexpected place?

I didn’t realize this was a series when I started reading it, that makes sense after a little research as to why cabins were named things such as the Gingerbread Cabin and Mistletoe Cabin that the first book was set during Christmas time. That being said, I feel like the author did a great job at introducing characters and their backstory so the first book isn’t necessary to read. I enjoyed seeing how the family and romantic relationships grew and blossomed throughout the story.

This is a wonderful feel good, small town, book about family, love, forgiveness, and taking chances. It's never to late to find love. Highly recommend.
