Thank you, Netgalley, for this digital ARC. The opinions expressed in this review are my own and unbiased.

This was a sweet little romantic YA LGBTQ story/novella set in during the pandemic. The main character, Kaye, and their love interest, Dev, are both nonbinary. I always enjoy stories that feature modern technology as a part of the plot. I find it roots it more realistically in the current moment, and with the pandemic it seems technology would be an unavoidable intermediary.

The story itself was not complex, in fact I saw it as more of a character study. This did not detract from it in any way, as what is the pandemic if not a time for introspection and personal growth? The two main characters learn about each other and themselves. A lovely story.

I received a copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for my honest review. Thank you NetGalley!

The cover of this book is simple. I'm not a huge fan of it, but it gets the job done.
The characters are well-developed and easy to relate to in most ways.
The storyline was easy to follow and relevant to the pandemic going on currently.

I'd definitely purchase a copy and check out other books by the author.

I was excited to be able to read this story by Kevin Craig, whose work never disappoints. It was a refreshing, believable take on nonbinary adolescent love in the time of a pandemic - just the kind of reading so many of us can use right now.

I loved this so much, I wasn’t sure if I would knowing it was about covid and usually I just want to forget about all of that while reading, but this was SO GOOD and I hope everyone reads it if you need something joyful

Kaye is shocked when Wen - an Insta celebrity they're a huge fan of - reaches out to them over the internet during the 2020 Covid-19 lockdown. The two grow closer in over the following months in this gorgeous short.

This is the only YA I've read so far that deals with COVID-19 and it's going to be hard to improve on it! It's a super-cute romance with two utterly charming leads, and I read it with a massive smile on my face all the way through. The way it builds up, showing scenes from the two main characters' lives as they support each other throughout a traumatic year, is really sweet and perfectly-paced.. The dialogue is sparkling and both of the leads are adorable. Huge recommendation as a perfect pick-me-up for anyone who wants to read a story that will show a glimmer of hope to all of us trying to get through the current situation.
