I really like the idea of this book to teach children a little bit about Yoga through a story. They can relate their experience of challenges they have in their lives with to the possibilities that yoga offers to them to tackle these difficulties.
I found the story pleasant but it seemed a bit complex at times, and using words that are advanced. I also did not really understand the choice of poses. It would have been interesting to see some author notes about that. Whether the children would be able to relate the practice of these poses to their overall wellbeing and to other aspects of their lives will be a function of their age. I could not find information in the book about the age recommended for this story.
All in all, I enjoyed this book but it did not completely meet my expectations.

This picture book about friends Molly and Omari. They were both trying to learn something new. A tree heard their conversation and helped them to learn some yoga. I was very impressed by what yoga can do for your body, mind, and soul. My son read it and loved the characters in the illustration. The illustrations were lively, fun, entertaining, and colorful. I am looking forward to more of Molly and Omari's exciting Adventures. I recommend this book to young children and their parents; I give this book five stars.

This wasn’t my favourite yoga book. Sadly for this book, I do quite a lot of yoga with my class and the children got bored quite quickly. I think it would be a nice introduction to what yoga is with a few exercises but I was looking for more. The illustrations were nice and colourful and the story itself was sweet.

I like Molly and Omari Learn Yoga. I also really like the idea of a series of children's books that offer a selection of subjects unlikely to be learned in school. I would have liked to see a few more illustrations and at times the words used seem a little older than the children that are saying them. I really liked the congratulations and reading encouragement.

Never have we needed books like this more than we do right now. This wonderfully written and beautifully illustrated book introduces its readers in a easy, accessible way to yoga, breathing and mindfulness through great characters and story. The skills are ones which will help our children build resilience and inner strength. As an educationalist passionate about children's well-being I cannot recommend this book highly enough.

I thought this book was a good idea - to introduce children to yoga which can be beneficial for so many reasons. I also liked how the yoga positions were shown in the book. What I am not sold on is that this was a chapter book and the overall language of the book - it did not seem to go well together.

This is a great first book in the series. I really liked how it was a chapter book with more writing than pictures. This will be a great series for new readers. I also really love the stories in each book of the series. There are not many books discussing mental health for children.

This is a fun way to get kids into yoga and let them know the benefits of it! I love that it’s 2 best friends doing it together! And I love that al the yoga poses are demonstrated at the end so kids can practice!

I think this book has a lot to offer. Granted, it’s not exciting, but it’s an easy, relaxed read and illustrates the benefits of yoga in its text and illustrations. When I look back at my childhood in the 70s, I would’ve enjoyed a book like this. I thought the authors note of congratulation on finishing the book was a nice and original touch. The list of further reading was a welcome addition too.

What a great book! My daughter and I loved this book, which is about a boy called Omari and a girl called Molly who learn how to do yoga after talking to a tree called Wanda. Wanda teaches them how yoga is about calming the body and the mind, to be in harmony with yourself and the environment. My daughter enjoyed trying out the different yoga poses, such as downward dog pose, camel pose, half tortoise pose, happy baby pose and tree pose. She was also interested in the breathing exercises, learning how trees breathe and she enjoyed learning the different hand mudras. This is a magical book, which is excellent and highly recommended.

Many thanks to the author, publisher and Net Galley for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Quick little read that finished in one sitting. Read it to my friends daughter. She loved seeing the pictures and actually sat there and listened to the whole story. Recommend this

I'm not too sure what went wrong with this read but I just feel like it won't engage children as much as it aims to. However, as I'm not of the target age I cannot necessarily speak for them so I still recommend giving this one a go

Thanks, NetGalley, for the ARC of this book.
Read and reviewed by seven-year-old Amy.

In ‘Molly and Omari Learn Yoga,’ Omari tries to skip stones, but he keeps tensing up while throwing. Molly, on the other hand, can skip stones. But when she tries to catch a dragonfly, she keeps moving her hand as if she were going to swat it. That’s when a tree starts to talk! And the tree—Wanda—begins to teach yoga. Does the yoga help Molly catch a dragonfly? Does it help Omari skip stones? Read ‘Molly and Omari Learn Yoga’ to find out!

This book is a chapter book, and it taught me some pretty cool yoga poses. I even did them while reading this book!
One theme in this book is to relax. That’s what yoga is for!

I give this book 5/5 stars as I loved the poses, Wanda, the tree taught.

Not sure about this one. The language and vocabulary seem at odds with the reading level. I don't think this will be engaging for small children.

I rarely give low ratings or bad reviews for books, but unfortunately I have to for this one. I wanted to like it, but none of it sat right with me. The illustrations were odd and the writing was a bit off. I assumed the characters in the book were children, but they were written as much older. It was kind of weird. I was hoping for more of a picture book with a yoga journey. This wasn’t it.
