This short book will give you a nudge to think about the four seasons in a different way that are supportive of your body. I enjoyed the short explanations for practicing Qigong. This book inspired me to seek other resources to learn more.

Thank you

A really nice book of holistic wellbeing with tips, exercises and food combining to use throughout the year. Good, simple and practical advice.

I'd recommend this.

A small but a wonderfully insightful book full of ideas on how to "live well" through the different seasons, some old and some new. Just reading through this book made me smile and start writing down the different activities I would carry out during each season.

This is a very short, very simple book on the subject. As someone who does live by the seasons, I was hoping for more. This is a popular concept right now but other books have done it better, unfortunately.

I thought the idea of a seasons-based wellness book was interesting and had great potential, but sadly this text did not live up to the possibilities available. It's a short text with the same general advice about wellness that can be found in many other books (or with a quick google). I wish the author had instead tried for something beautiful, using photos and creative layout to give the text an edge in an already very crowded wellness market.

This book was a delight to read, easy and concise. The concept of living with the season really resonated with me, it’s something I have lost touch with a little in modern times. Filled with practical advice on how to get the most out of each season, including food and cooking ideas along with health and activities ideas. All easy to implement and bring into everyday life. Ease of implementation is something so lacking in many lifestyle books but this pitched it perfectly.

A smaller book then I expected, with basic but some useful information. Thought it would of had a bit more information about food and a few recipes would have been handy.
Thank you NetGalley

I enjoyed this book. During the past year, due to the pandemic, I've been at home for much of the time and am learning to slow down and listen to my body and take more notice of the seasons and what's around me. This book has excellent tips on what to eat, how I might be feeling depending on what time of year it is. It's the perfect book to dip in and out of.

Thank you to NetGalley for my copy of this ebook.

I really enjoy little books like this. The author is a kinesiologist and qigong facilitator. She suggests self care practices categorized by seasons. I’ve never seen that before! Some examples are wake up earlier in the summer and cook with aromatics in the winter. She suggests physical activities and emotional practices as well. The book includes some delightful illustrations as well as a worksheet.

I think I will give some of these practices a try. I like the idea that our bodies’ needs change with the seasons, and so should our health practices.

Really did not like this book!
Lacking substance and any detail. Nothing new. Nothing original.
When you hear that a book is about the seasons - i expected some lush photography/images illustrating the seasons. Nope!!
Very simplified book, felt incredibly amateur.

Don't bother with this!

I really love and adore the idea of this book, I would pick it up in an instant if I saw it at the book store - but it needs MORE. A lot of the tips are repetitive and winter appears to be the only season the author really had a decent go at (it has 11 pages whereas summer & autumn only have 3!). I'd also really love for there to be more content that is clearly specific to that season. As it is, most of the advice could pertain to any season.

It also feels a little too simple. Things like telling the reader to go to the beach in summer.. a bit more effort would be nice.

Some more colour or small illustrations also definitely wouldn't go astray. It would help make the text more engaging.

I don’t know what I was expecting with this book but I didn’t love it. It introduced me to qigong though, which I will be checking out. Thanks to NetGalley for the free copy in exchange for my honest review!
