One Little Lie is a quick and easy read. Kate is a divorcee with an ex husband who is getting ready to marry his mistress that he left Kate for. Kate has two children and a job she hates and now she has a stalker! Lots of problems abound as she tries to keep everything together and fight depression. Lots of twists and turns throughout with a surprise ending. I liked it very much and. I highly recommend.

Thanks to Net Galley for allowing me to read this amazing arc for my honest opinion.

One Little Lie – Christopher Greyson

Kate Gardner is a newly single mother, in a new town, trying to cope with a sudden divorce, and the angst of seeing her ex-husband Scott flaunt his new relationship, while she tries to pick up the pieces, keep her sanity and maintain an air of normalcy for her children. While at her son’s soccer game, Kate sends a drone into the air on a test flight, only to have it fall, striking her in the head and knocking her to the ground. Mortified, she keeps silent as bystanders search for the drone’s owner, with her son asking to keep it, in hopes of finding the owner on video.

The next morning, two police officers arrive, prepared to investigate the incident. Embarrassed about her lie of omission, Kate keeps quiet about the drone’s origin while they question her about yesterday’s events. As they review footage from the drone’s flight, it quickly becomes apparent that someone has been taking an unusual interest in Kate. An unrecognizable male figure in a blue cap is seen lurking in much of the footage captured. From that point on, things just seem to escalate, and Kate fears she’s losing her mind…

First, Scott informs her that he wants custody of the children, then her vehicle is vandalized, and she loses her job. A trip to school to pick up her children leads to humiliation and the knowledge that someone is out to destroy her…but who? The stalker, or someone much closer to home? As tensions mount, Kate discovers that she has two unexpected allies – and she’ll need every bit of their help to unravel the lies and deception that surround her…

This is my second novel by Christopher Greyson, and I read it straight through in a single sitting – I just couldn’t put it down! The storyline grabs you from the start and the hits just keep on coming as the pages turn. The characters provoked a lot of emotion – some you just loved to hate, and while I has guessed at who the protagonist was, I was still stunned at as I read the last few pages. Was happy to see a nod to my other favorite Greyson character in there as well! A riveting read, great for the beach, or a stormy day, cause you won’t want to put it down!!

The beginning was a little slow for me but the element of the mystery kept me from leaving it, I was really hooked until the middle of it. The writing style is simple and its an easy read, I did find myself skimming through some parts however I did want to know who was following her. I found myself wanting to slap Kate sometimes but I was empathetic to her feelings and why she let herself be beaten down, she found courage in herself because of her kids and that I can totally relate to that. I loved Donna (her best friend) she provided some comic relief and a sense of security that Kate needed and Audrey ( her mother in law) was just that woman you want to be when you grow up. The ending was good, I had my suspicious on who was behind it but I was still shook by how it all unraveled.

Kate is divorced and struggling to keep afloat financially. She barely tolerates her ex, hates his new fiancee, and her former mother-in-law seems to not like her very much. The only light in her life are her two kids, Andy and Ava.

A crashed drone is the source of the One Little Lie from the title. That's when Kate discovers she has a stalker and her life really starts to fall apart.

I enjoyed the writing and the various twists and turns. Greyson was really good at building up the suspense. I was, however, unfulfilled by the ending. After everything Kate had gone through, I expected more. Honestly, the epilogue left me puzzled. Still an enjoyable read.

This is the fourth book I've read by this author, and - as with the other three - I'm glad I did. It's fast-paced, engrossing and immensely readable.

Kate is a recently divorced mother of two young children, Andy and Ava. By most accounts, including hers, her super-smooth ex-husband was emotionally abusive - particularly adept at gaslighting. He's also controlling, a trait he seems to have picked up from his mother, who lives nearby. Kate is trying to build a life back for herself and her kids - holding down a temp job she really, really hopes will be temporary. On one fateful day, she's testing a drone - a freelance assignment from a friend who wants her to write a product review.

As her bad luck would have it (and trust me, this woman has more bad luck throughout this entire book than Carter's ever had liver pills), the drone takes a header near her son's soccer field - literally; it smacks her right on the noggin. Video from the drone seems to indicate that she's got a stalker, but - worried about what the police will think of her (one hunky officer in particular) - and bolstered by her lawyer ex-husband's advice - she tells a fib that will come back to haunt her.

That ex-husband, for the record, has settled in with a former high-school sweetheart who hates Kate with all her wicked heart (a feeling that's mutual, although Kate's heart is more wishy washy than wicked). Therein comes my only complaint with the story: I'm glad it ended when it did, because I was ready to pitch Kate and her self-doubting, fence-sitting, do everything exactly the wrong way persona right in the trash can even if it meant my Kindle went with it. Hand-wringing ladies like her who can't find a backbone do add considerable angst to a story and to a degree I even sympathize - for a while. But when they just keep on saying and doing stupid things, my tolerance takes a nosedive.

Fortunately for my Kindle (and for Kate, whose very life may be on the line), the end comes just in time. I must admit I had two possible prime suspects who were behind all the nasty things that happened and both of them were dead wrong, which is a plus in my book. Of course, I can't reveal any details, but all in all I was satisfied with how everything turned out - and I'm sure other readers will agree. Good job!

Not a cozy mystery but is it a thriller or a psychological drama? You decide. Writing style is classic. Plot is intricate with some eye popping twists and turns. A little humor keeps this from becoming too dark. The characters are well drawn and sprinkled with just enough unlikable to be realistic. A worthwhile read.

This book was hard to put down. Lots of drama and suspense. I was almost to the end of the book before I got it right. Well written with a solid plot. Christopher Greyson is a new author for me, one I will be following. I'd like to thank Greyson Media for the advance copy.

Wow, loved this one!! The characters were so amazingly developed and I truly loved them all, even the ones I loved to hate. I think I suspected every single person at one point throughout the book and was still surprised by the ending! I read this in a day and I’m sad it’s over. Definitely recommend!

This was a solid suspense book. I liked the experience from male author with a female protagonist and I thought the did a great job developing the story and characters.

One Little Lie is a great book full of mystery and suspense. Kate is a recently divorced mom and while attending her son's soccer games tells what she thinks will just be a little lie and not cause any trouble. However, that lie causes her all kinds of problems and her ex husband is threatening to get primary custody of their children. I would highly recommend this book.

Kate has an ex-husband with a new fiancé, a fixer-upper for a house, and a temp job she hates. The only brightness in her life is her 2 children. But now she has a stalker, she's having trouble remembering things, and the whole town thinks she's a slut. This is an engrossing tight thriller with hints of "Gaslight" and a light romance.

Kate had high hopes when she moved to her husband‘s hometown, but her domestic bliss was short-lived. Blindsided by her spouse’s very public affair with his high school sweetheart and a painful divorce, Kate’s determined to hold onto custody of her kids and pull herself together. When Kate’s bashed in the head by a drone at her son’s soccer game and face-plants in the grass, it’s more than her self-esteem that’s shattered. The drone’s video reveals that someone is stalking her. And though the handsome detective she’s falling for vows to protect her, Kate knows to be wary of any man making vows. Kate has lied about one little thing, but that lie will lead to the unraveling of everything.

The court of public opinion hs weighed in against Kate, and one cop may not be enough to protect her. This is a fast-paced, twisty novel about love, hate, family, and consequences. Recommended for all thriller lovers.

I absolutely loved this book! A must read for any suspense fan.

Is Katie losing her mind? After an exhausting divorce from her cheating husband, Katie's life is turned upside down...again. This time its from a stalker she didn't even know she had.

After crashing a drone, and having lied about it, she finds out that she has a stalker. She can't tell the truth about the drone's true ownership without the police not believing her about the stalker, and this starts her downward spiral making her question herself.

The cops think she's crazy (thanks to Tammi) and believe that she's making everything up, but she knows the threat is real. Her best friend comes with up a plan to catch the stalker, only to turn up missing herself. Add sleepwalking and the fact that her ex wants custody of the kids, no wonder she feels like she's losing her mind.

Will they catch the stalker before it's too late to save herself and the ones that she loves? This is a fast paced edge of your seat thriller that I had trouble putting down.

Wonderfully written with dynamic characters that draw you into their lives, Christopher Greyson has done it again. I am eagerly awaiting his next book, maybe Jack will make an appearance....

Thank you to Netgalley for this e-Arc which I received in exchange for an honest review

I enjoyed this quite a bit although there were elements which did pull me out of the story. It is unusual for me to read a male author with a female protagonist as the main character. Greyson writes fairly a-typical female characteristics and this dropped it down a star. I never felt completely connected to Kate even though the story was mostly from her POV.

Having said that, I didn't see the 'twist' coming and I was kept engrossed in the story and read this in an enjoyable afternoon.

One Little Lie was a quick read and a solid mystery/thriller which I recommend.

Mother of two, Kate Gardner, is struggling to piece her life back together in the aftermath of her recent divorce. Living in the same small town as her ex-husband and his mistress/fiancé is no small feat, especially since gossip runs rampant and most of the town’s allegiance seems to favor Kate’s number one nemesis. In a misguided attempt to avoid further humiliation, Kate tells “One Little Lie,” which quickly spirals out of control. In the process, a potential stalker is discovered, yet a suspicious light is also cast over Kate, illuminating everything that she says and does.

“One Little Lie” is an intriguing whodunit that is more “entertaining” than actually suspenseful. Right from the get-go, I was “team Kate,” rooting for this delightful, haggard woman from start to finish. Although I had my suspicions as to what was in play, it did not detract from my interest in seeing it all unfold. There were some “eye rolling” moments, especially as it pertained to certain secondary characters, but I chose to look past those and to allow myself to simply enjoy the ride. That said, “One Little Lie” is a quick and easy read, a perfect addition to anyone’s summer reading list!
