THE TRUTH COULD COST HER EVERYTHING.

Kate had high hopes when she moved to her husband‘s hometown, but her domestic bliss was short-lived. Blindsided by her spouse’s very public affair with his high school sweetheart and a painful divorce, Kate’s determined to hold onto custody of her kids and pull herself together. When Kate’s bashed in the head by a drone at her son’s soccer game and face-plants in the grass, it’s more than her self-esteem that’s shattered. The drone’s video reveals that someone is stalking her. And though the handsome detective she’s falling for vows to protect her, Kate knows to be wary of any man making vows.

With things spiraling out of control, she tells a lie. It was only one little lie, but a lie is a welcome mat for the devil, and with the one she told, Kate just rolled out the red carpet. Everything she worked for begins to unravel, along with her sanity. Confused, alone, and afraid, can Kate untangle her muddled mind and unmask her stalker, or will she lose everything—including her life?

I rarely find a book that keeps me so hooked I can’t put it down. One Little Lie is that book. A sympathetic character. A dizzying mystery with unexpected turns. They both convinced me to give it a 5-star rating.

The Story in a Nutshell
Kate has it rough. Between a recent divorce, an awful job, and a thriving relationship between her ex and his high-school boo, it’s no wonder it seems she’s losing her mind. Add to that a creepy stalker, the threat of losing her children, and the fact that the entire town seems to turn against her.

The Best Part of One Little Lie
I loved how the author kept me guessing until the end, revealing bits of information as the story progressed, at the end all falling into place.
The characters are also a very strong point. I was particularly fond of Audrey, who was exactly what Kate needed, when she needed her the most.

…And the Bad News
I wasn’t happy with the way Kate’s interest in Ryan progressed. It seemed that all she was interested in were his muscles and his eyes–physical attributes. He was much more than that, and the author showed it. While I admit there are women out there who might ‘go crazy’ when they see some guy with a wide chest, Kate doesn’t seem the type. I would’ve wanted to see her take notice of who he is, not just how he looks.

The Characters
Other characters call Kate a doormat. They’re right–at least in the beginning. I’m all for being kind and forgiving, but Kate goes way beyond that. She lets people and life in general turn her into a punching bag. Until she doesn’t.
Luckily, characters grow, and Kate grows a lot. I wanted badly to see her succeed. This book is about much more than the mystery revolving around the stocker. It’s about learning to take control of your life and let go of the disruptive elements. Kate learns to do that, and I was delighted to see her get there.
One Little Lie has many well-developed, unique characters. From Audrey to Ryan to Tammi. Even Kate’s children feel like real kids–which made them exhausting.

Whodunit
Even from reading the blurb, you think you know who the bad guy is. The stalker, whoever he may be. But is he really responsible for everything that happens to Kate? From pornographic messages to embarrassing fliers and her car being defaced, could there be more than one bad guy? I’ve asked myself that question as I was reading.

I spent a couple hours (well spent at that) reading this, and thoroughly enjoyed it. At first I thought, "Kate has some serious issues", feeling perhaps it was more of a psychological thriller with a whacked main character. I was wrong. I dislike reading reviews that are pretty much a synopsis of the book, because it removes the fun of using your brain to work through the plot, so I never do that.

At first, Kate comes across as a little weak but, as the plot progresses, the changes are obvious, and I'll leave those to the reader to find. As well, this has enough twists and turns to qualify for a 6 Flags roller coaster. Having read the ending, 'hmmm....' is all I'll say.

Another great read from Christopher Greyson!

Not a cozy mystery but is it a thriller or a psychological drama? You decide. Writing style is classic. Plot is intricate with some eye popping twists and turns. A little humor keeps this from becoming too dark. The characters are well drawn and sprinkled with just enough unlikable to be realistic. A worthwhile read.

Wow, loved this one!! The characters were so amazingly developed and I truly loved them all, even the ones I loved to hate. I think I suspected every single person at one point throughout the book and was still surprised by the ending! I read this in a day and I’m sad it’s over. Definitely recommend!

One Little Lie is a great book full of mystery and suspense. Kate is a recently divorced mom and while attending her son's soccer games tells what she thinks will just be a little lie and not cause any trouble. However, that lie causes her all kinds of problems and her ex husband is threatening to get primary custody of their children. I would highly recommend this book.

Kate has an ex-husband with a new fiancé, a fixer-upper for a house, and a temp job she hates. The only brightness in her life is her 2 children. But now she has a stalker, she's having trouble remembering things, and the whole town thinks she's a slut. This is an engrossing tight thriller with hints of "Gaslight" and a light romance.

I absolutely loved this book! A must read for any suspense fan.

Is Katie losing her mind? After an exhausting divorce from her cheating husband, Katie's life is turned upside down...again. This time its from a stalker she didn't even know she had.

After crashing a drone, and having lied about it, she finds out that she has a stalker. She can't tell the truth about the drone's true ownership without the police not believing her about the stalker, and this starts her downward spiral making her question herself.

The cops think she's crazy (thanks to Tammi) and believe that she's making everything up, but she knows the threat is real. Her best friend comes with up a plan to catch the stalker, only to turn up missing herself. Add sleepwalking and the fact that her ex wants custody of the kids, no wonder she feels like she's losing her mind.

Will they catch the stalker before it's too late to save herself and the ones that she loves? This is a fast paced edge of your seat thriller that I had trouble putting down.

Wonderfully written with dynamic characters that draw you into their lives, Christopher Greyson has done it again. I am eagerly awaiting his next book, maybe Jack will make an appearance....

One little lie is an amazing mystery/thriller book. The way the author keeps you questioning who the villain is truly fantastic. I am so fascinated by the charters and how you can relate so easy to them and be brought into the book as if this is your own life. I highly recommend this book,
