I must firstly apologise for the amount of time it has taken me to provide a review of this book, my health was rather bad for quite some time, something that had me in hospital on numerous occasions and simply didnt leave me with the time I once had to do what I love most.

Unfortunately that does mean I have missed the archive date for many of these books, so It would feel unjust throwing any review together without being able to pay attention to each novel properly.

However, I am now back to reading as before and look forward to sharing my honest reviews as always going forward. I thank you f0r the patience and understanding throughout x

The entire time I read this I keep hearing "Rewrite the Stars" from the Greatest Showman in my head.
Ok and now on to the review.

I LOVED this book. It is a beautifully written story about the after effects of PTSD and how it affects their marriage. Its such an emotionally raw book. I mean it comes off true and from the heart. I really REALLY rooted for the main characters. Their path through the world was so emotional, it was almost like their feelings jumped off the page.

Such a great read!

In Rewrite the Stars, the main character Sadie grapples with the effects of her husband’s PTSD on her marriage, her life, and her children. Theo, from whom Sadie is separated but still lives in the same house as, also serves as a narrator. The author creates a compelling plot that tugged on my heart and delves into the toll PTSD takes on the person experiencing it and their loved ones. I enjoyed this book and look forward to future books by this author as this was a great debut novel. Thank you to the author, the publisher and NetGalley for the ARC.

This was a tough one to get through. Not necessarily because of content, which was tough, real life stuff, but because of inner dialogue that I felt wasn’t needed. Parts of the story I was on the edge of my seat wanting to know what would happen next. Then there were snippets that I would have loved for the author to elaborate a little more.

PTSD has likely effected you or someone you know. This book could potentially be a trigger. Read at your own discretion.

I’m grateful for the opportunity to have read it. Thank you to Black Rose Writing through Netgalley for a complimentary copy. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
