This is book 7 in the Edisto Island Mysteries series. It can be read as a stand alone, I've missed a couple. Police Chief, Callie, is not looking forward to her high school reunion and the return of her classmates. She's still searching for the killer of her fellow classmate, Wendy. Author JJ hopes to get a new book out of the reunion by writing a story about the murder. One of their classmates isn't happy about the idea of a book and when JJ disappears, Callie is afraid that there might be two murders to solve. A few twists and turns. Another good story by C. Hope Clark. I received a copy of this ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review.

My first book in the series and I will be looking for the others in the series. Well written, believable characters, and well plotted mystery combined to immerse the reader.

I haven't read the other Edisto books, but I felt this one stood alone pretty well. For a mystery that's not a cozy, the plot felt a bit over the top. Still, it was an enjoyable read, and I liked the main character a lot. Though the plot was a little much, the characterization and psychological insights saved it for me!

Reunion on Edisto
By C. Hope Clark

In this book we find out more about Police Chief Callie Morgan and why she she decided to become a police officer. Callie’s classmates from her senior year have gathered on Edisto Beach to plan a class reunion. What also is brought up by J J, is the disappearance of Wendy during a football game their senior year.

When JJ disappears, Callie must find her and try to solve a cold case. Going back to High School is never fun especially when you have to question your friends about a murder. Is Callie slipping back into her old High School days?

Will she get justice for the murdered girl and the boy who was falsely accused. This book will have you going to the end. And make you think of all your High School friends and what they where really capable of!!

I received this e-book from NetGalley for my honest opinion.

This was a great read and a thrilling ride. Couldn’t put it down!! And look forward to the next book in this series.

Reunion on Edisto is the new book from C. Hope Clark.

"Former high school classmates get together on Edisto Island to plan the next high school reunion. One of the classmates, JJ, now a famous author hijacks the conversation and blames everyone for being involved with the murder of their classmate, Wendy, during a football game their senior year. When JJ disappears, Police Chief Callie Morgan now must find the missing woman and try to solve a very old cold case."

I like how Clark finds a way to bring up a cold case that no one wants to see again but finds justice for the murdered girl and the boy who was accused. There are stereotypes but if you have ever visited the Low Country of SC you have run across people like Georgia, whose families took a chance on an island cabin and now have million-dollar properties. The story is addictive. Chief Morgan (Callie) is still fighting her demons and struggling not to turn into her high school self. And Clark makes us question what's really happening. Is there a missing person? Who really killed Wendy? And she gives us a character that everyone will despise - we all have a Butch in our background

This is the 2nd book I've read from Clark. It's great to have some crime fiction set in the Low Country. This is a fast-paced read from Clark.

This is part of on an on-going series, and while I haven't read any of the previous books I had no problem following this one.

Police chief Callie is trying to deal with early vacationers, a new love interest, a wild gator and a high school reunion planning weekend. That's a lot going on! A carefully selected group of people are meeting at a classmate's beach house in hopes of planning their high school reunion - not knowing they were selected by another classmate, who's a mystery writer. Her plans are to expose who killed a cheerleader when they were in high school..

The story moved slowly in the beginning and seemed to end pretty quickly, things go wrapped up fast.

Thank you to NetGalley, the author and publisher for a temporary digital ARC in return for my review
