I felt this! There were so many truths that as a woman I feel on a daily basis. I liked the positive message this author brought, I liked how it was broken down weekly and all the different assessments and self reflection I got to do. This was an inspiring read and so relevant to these times.

Thank you to NetGalley and Nelson books for access to this ARC.

This book was received as an ARC from Nelson Books, Thomas Nelson in exchange for an honest review. Opinions and thoughts expressed in this review are completely my own.

I was waiting for a long while for a book like this. I loved how Jen Hatmaker constructed this book and the language she used especially 'so let's break this baby down." That definitely put a smile on my face. Reading this book was like having your own personal life coach working with you through the tough challenges in life. Finding and accepting your truest self is the key to happiness. I also agree with Jen's strategy with writing your thoughts and feelings because it gives you a visual on what is currently going on in your mind and you having the power to change it if you are not happy. I know a lot of people in our library community that would benefit from a book like Glorious You and I can't wait to recommend it to them.

We will consider adding this title to our Self-Help collection at our library. That is why we give this book 5 stars.

Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for sending me an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Oh glorious, glorious Jen Hatmaker. This wonderful woman's books always make me feel like I'm ok for being exactly who I am, and I'm worth it. As is she. Her honest, yet uplifting way of showing the reader's flaws while also celebrating them are wonderful. She has personally had a very tough year and yet that seems to make her more relatable. Do yourself a favor and read this book.

Looking to increase your love for the universe please add a little Jen Hatmaker to your life.
This lady has so many experiences in life that she shares openly. She is willing to make the mistakes own up to them be real and human. She does not hide from controversy if she is involved in it or see it happening in the world. Now the book. Wonderful! Can't say enough about this book. Change your life. Change your vantage.

I love Jen Hatmaker's viewpoint and voice. Her humor speaks to me and she uses it to tackle hard subjects. I believe this ARC was the workbook for her new book, Glorious You. It was filled with insightful and meaningful questions that women can use to become more authentic. I read through it cover-to-cover but plan to go back and use the questions to journal and ponder. Jen's trademark honesty and vulnerability combined with her wisdom and thoughtfulness made this a gem of a book. I really enjoyed it.

I’ve always enjoyed Jen’s personality. She shares her points like talking with a good friend. And while she doesn’t sugar coat anything, the message is somehow easy to understand and accept.

If you love Jen Hatmaker, you'll love her workbook/guide/journal. It gives you all the prompts you need to take better care of yourself. From talking to yourself (and your body) in a more respectful way and documenting your dreams to developing boundaries and writing down your very own manifesto.

This book takes an empathetic approach and gives bite size approaches and allows you to have kindness and patience with yourself when dealing with life. This is so necessary for everyone to read in life. Highly recommend. Especially loved the reflection to true life to humanize my feelings and relate. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

"Glorious You" is a 52-week journal study of you! Jen Hatmaker offers a new prompt each week, with a thought, a few questions, and a challenge for how you will take on what you learned. Each week is a new way to look at how to grow yourself whether it be in how you handle things, what you believe about yourself, what you believe in, and interactions with others. Hatmaker asks hard questions that force you to think. Overall, this study/journal is an excellent resource to find your true self and all that you were made to be! I'd highly recommend it to anyone, but especially to women who feel like they are just floating around, or feel like they aren't as special as other people, or don't have as much to offer!

Although this journal is meant to be explored week by week, I like to read these books from front to back before I start the weekly program. In this case, I don’t own the companion book, so I immediately read it from cover to cover. This companion journal is largely a guided manifesto to becoming more unabashedly authentic. While there might not be anything groundbreakingly new in this journal, the reminder to pay attention to the precepts are useful, practical, and refreshing at times.
A little about me. I’m inching closer and closer toward the age of menopause. And I’ve already started noticing changes. The laughlines have appeared. For the first time I’m carrying some weight around the middle. But the most pronounced change for me is that I’m feeling…well, fierce. I’m less timid about life. It isn’t just my body that has changed, in many ways the core of who I am is evolving also. So, I picked up Glorious You: Your Roadmap to Becoming Fierce, Free and Full of Fire, with the intention of journaling through some of these changes. I especially appreciated the prompts to “connect with someone who understands your unique season and challenges,” and to revoke your “problematic yeses.” There are 50 other motivational prompts to enjoy and benefit from. If you enjoy light-hearted journaling to uplifting prompts as a weekly positive affirmation, this journal is for you.

This is a fabulous companion to Fierce, Free, and Full of Life. There are sections for journaling, and great tips and advice on living a more full and happy life. Jen Hatmaker is delightful and has a way of relating, encouraging, and uplifting all with her witty, hilarious writing. I can't wait to put this journal to good use!

This is a guided journal companion to Jen Hatmaker's book Fierce, Free, and Full of Fire. While this companion goes perfectly with her book, it is not necessary for you to have read it in order to get the full benefit. In this companion Jen share's excerpts from the book that lead to journaling and thought prompts for the week ahead in what she refers to as 'noodle on this' and 'marching orders'. I do love Jen's quirky sense of humor and true to her other works, it shines through in this one. The companion is set up to be used weekly, with one section per week. As a person who can be overwhelmed by the idea of daily journaling, I appreciated the weekly approach and found it to be very attainable.

Glorious You is to be used as a companion journal for Jen Hatmaker's book, Fierce, Free and Full of Fire. Glorious You is the perfect balance of witty, eye-opening reflections with journal prompts that allow you to feel comfortable and open with your thoughts. Jen Hatmaker has a way of providing a space where women can be real and face their fears, and confront lies women have been told about their bodies. I absolutely loved Fierce, Free, and Full of Fire and Glorious You just adds to the amazingness of Jen Hatmaker. I definitely recommend the companion book.

I wanted to enjoy this book, but it was mostly generic filler without any deep substance. I found myself skipping parts of it to look for something deeper or more useful. But, this book was just celebratory pat yourself on the back and be happy with everything. Which, there is nothing wrong with self love or being happy. But, I feel like this book could have been better balanced.

This is a great companion to Jen’s book Fierce, Free, and Full of Fire. There are short weekly sections with space to journal and instructions for moving forward. Jen is a gem and her voice shines through in everything she writes!

Thank you to NetGalley and Nelson Books for the ARC.

I’ve Always liked Jen’s ways of getting her point across-she doesn’t try to sugar coat things or talk down. She just says things as they are, and usually in a way that sticks in your brain because you can relate to it in your own way. It’s the same thing with this. Although I didn’t realize until I got into it, this is a companion to her book with the same title. This is kind of a Devotional in a way, but not your typical one. It is a weekly chat with a friend who puts a new topic out there for you to think on and then find ways to integrate into your life. I know several women, myself included, who could benefit from this book and it’s companion. There’s places to take notes and the chapters are short so it doesn’t feel overwhelming.
Thanks to Thomas Nelson and Netgalley for this Arc in exchange for my review.
