A good cookbook with easy-to-follow recipes. Each recipe features the level of difficulty and preparation time upfront. Additionally, I found the detailed descriptions and background paragraphs on each dish quite engaging.

Thank you to NetGalley, BooksGoSocial and author Caterina Papadia for the opportunity to review the advance copy of this book.

Very traditional recipes with helpful notations for difficulty levels, cost to prepare, serving size, measurements are by weight. It seemed to be written by an authentic Italian, very homey, delicious recipes I would enjoy, beautiful photos. The ingredients were mostly widely accessible with the exception of some of the cheeses. Instructions weren’t overly complicated.

My husband and I love making recipes fro scratch. On our trip to Italy we treated ourselves to a few cooking classes which we loved. We loved the history, love, and family tradition that went into these recipes.

So Purely Italian by Caterina Papadia has been the closest thing we have found to our Italian cooking classes since returning. The recipes are made from scratch. She also includes history which we have enjoyed while trying out the recipes. We appreciate the authenticity of these recipes. The instructions are easy to follow. The only thing we have had trouble with is sourcing some of the specific grains at our local stores.

I hope to add a physical copy to our small cookbook library.

I received an eARC from BooksGoSocial through NetGalley. All opinions are 100% my own.

This was a great Italian cookbook and even though the cover didn't really draw me in, there were a ton of recipes in here that I will definitely be trying out.

Did someone say pizza and pasta?? I'm in! The formatting of the book was off but I could figure out what the recipe was calling for.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an advanced copy of this book for an honest review.

I received a gifted copy of this book to read in exchange for an honest review via netgalley and the publishers.

Purely Italian is a beautiful tribute to authentic Italian food and dishes!
This book seems to stress the importance of fresh, quality ingredients and I loved the organisation and set up of this book. The recipes are all labelled with difficulty rating and prep time and accompanied by information about each dish such as the background/story behind it.
I look forward to trying some of these dishes as Italian food, especially authentic Italian food is just divine!

I absolutely love pasta, it's been my biggest craving while pregnant. So to have this in my back pocket has been an absolute life saver. I've gotten to try some recipes I've never tried before and to actually have authentic homemade Italian recipes!

It's not a bad cookbook and the recipes are nice, but in this day and age, when you can get a recipe from a blog online, a cookbook has to offer something more. Unfortunately this cookbook lacks personality and it's quite honestly boring, even though the recipes were up my alley.

Purely Italian is as the title an Italian cookery book.

It has three main sets of recipes:
- Main Pasta & Pizza (15)
- Main (10)
- Desserts (5)

Each recipe has metric measurements and unusually comes with a cost estimate of Low or Medium. Also included are timings, but they are vague as the recipe might just say "Long"! Each recipe had a colour photograph to accompany it and how many people it serves.

Because I had a kindle version of this book, it was a little hard to follow as the formatting hadn't quite worked.as the ingredients were interspersed with the steps.

I received this book from Netgalley in return for an honest review.

An easy to follow, enjoyable cookbook of Italian recipes. After hosting an Italian exchange student, who was an outstanding chef, and then visiting her and her family and tasting their cooking, I am totally hooked on Italian cuisine. Unfortunately, while we were there, her nonna's English was nonexistent, and she never measured anything, so we were unable to write down her recipes. But...not to worry....many of them are in this book! Oh, there will now be many happy days of feasting on delicious food, thanks to the author!

If you like Italian food, this book is a must have, the recipes are easy to follow, easy to make and the end result is beautiful, tasty Italian food. Many of the recipes remind me of my childhood - my favorite being "Frittata di Spaghetti', how I love the fried leftover pasta fried in butter and olive oil with lots of parmigano _ the recipe in the book is a little more adventurous but still wonderful
Love this book - great recipes, easy and tasty.

I loved the pasta dishes in this, although nothing mind blowing and that one couldn’t improvise the recipes serve as a reminder as to what’s possible with basic ingredients.

This is a very short cookbook with very traditional recipes. Unfortunately the formatting, translations, editing and proofing all need a bunch of work.

The formatting is a little weird in the eARC I received, however with a little work, I was able to decipher most of the recipes which look like they will be delicious. The accompanying pictures are gorgeous, and each recipe is preceded by an interesting descriptive paragraph. I love Italian food, and so am looking forward to trying some of these. (Also, please note that the measurements are given in grams and liters so American cooks may need to convert.)
