This book was meh. I read it but it sure wasn't the best book I have read. Maybe I am just not into the royal trope anymore .

I know some will like it but this one just wasn't for me I guess.

Princess Freja isn't too keen with giving Developer Santiago the okay to build a casino in her country. She has a lot of personal reasons for why not but does not want to divulge or share on the why's. Santiago invites her to visit his casino in Barcelona be more openminded and knowledgeable about what it all entails.

Well the attraction is immediate on both sides. But Freja knows her duty and her parents arranged a marriage with royalty before they died. She always been dutiful and dedicated to her country, but maybe it's time she doing something for her.

Santiago is determined to build his casino in Marlsdoven. But he wasn't counting on his attraction to Freja and the complication that come with it.

The two have a strong attraction and face a lot of obstacles and difficulties before the two got the happy ever after they deserved.

It was a average read but felt that at times it dragged in the story line. I did have to put it down for awhile and come back to it. Also, I found the hero more likable the heroine, she seemed more all over the place.

** I received this as an E-ARC from NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for my honest review, Thank you!**

I really enjoyed this one. I really liked the sense of duty vs wanting to live your life. The romance was passionate and sweet and the characters realistic and relatable. This might be one of my favorites. It grabbed my attention and kept it. I would recommend picking it up!

Developer Santiago needs permission from Princess Freja before he can build a casino in her country. The tourism money is much needed, but she has a personal aversion to gambling. Santiago suggests she spend a few days at his casino in Barcelona so she can make a more informed choice.

She agrees, knowing the risk. For the first in her life, she feels attracted to a man. But what good could come from a fling with playboy Santiago? Besides, before their deaths, her parents arranged a marriage for her with another man—another royal. Does she dare go against her parents' wishes and follow her heart?

This opposites-attract royal romance is touching, emotional, and steamy. I was happy to see the asexual representation. The obstacles between the characters were strong and deep-seated in their past experiences, which makes for a satisfying ending when they manage to work past their differences.

Thanks, NetGalley, f0r the ARC I received. This is my honest and voluntary review.
