This is more than just a cookbook. It also has a great deal of health information that would be very useful to anyone trying to find a way to improve their health.

This book has a great explanation of how to regulate your gut health. It includes a 14 day meal plan, and then sample plan for once you are done.

My biggest gripe about this book is that the recipes and ingredients are not sustainable. Recipes with lamb and pheasant, for example, are not very affordable so eating on a budget is not easy. I really wish it had more accessible recipes.

Beautiful book!! The pictures and layout were truly stunning. The recipes look really interesting and I can’t wait to try a few.

Good Gut, Great Health is a great cookbook with lots of information on gut health and how to improve and heal one's digestive tract. There is a 21-day plan to follow, as well as a "post plan" plan, to restore the digestive system and give information on how to add different foods back. There is plenty of information here but this is mostly a cookbook with beautiful photos, as well as delicious recipes. My one complaint is the very small serving sizes for these recipes. I also do not think fasting is a good way to restore a digestive tract, like is suggested and scheduled here in the plan. But I thought there were many delicious recipes and I plan to try a few of them at least.

This is a cookbook with an interesting idea but does require some specific ingredients.

The cookbook starts off with a good deal of information on how the digestive system works and how to better balance your diet and treat your body right.

This isn’t a cookbook I personally would use very often as it has too many specified ingredients I don’t typically keep in my cupboard and I’m not sure I could get easily (for example one recipe called for fennel seeds, coriander seeds, tamari, shiso cress, rock chives).

The few recipes I tried (filet of pork, baked eggs, sweet potato and chickpea cakes) were ok but didn’t blow me away.

Overall 3 stars. Decent idea but not for someone who doesn’t have access to specialty ingredients.

I was pleasantly surprised on how informative this book was. Although it is mainly a cookbook, it has a great deal of information on good gut health as well. Most of it is in line with what I have found to be true for me as well. The recipes have beautiful pictures, which is always a plus! My only complaints are that the serving sizes seem to be so small that I doubt many of the meals would fill me, though they are plated beautifully, and many of them seemed to be made with expensive ingredients and are labor intensive. As a busy momma, I'm not really the target audience, I guess. For those with gut problems who enjoy cooking and have more time to do so though, I feel like this book would be well loved! A few of the recipes are less labor intensive and I did enjoy the information section prior to the recipes.
