Amy was an apothecary for her job and had a wonderful garden at her home to make all sorts of medicines from, Matt her "perfect fiancé" was determined to move out of the house but no one could find out why. Matt ends up going missing before the wedding and comes to find out he was living a double life, bloody roses end up showing up to Amy's house and the twist and turns continue!

This book is twisted for sure. The ending will make you say WTF out loud. Wonderful story with well done characters. It makes you keep reading till the end.

Thank you Netgalley for this ARC.

None of this book worked for me. The characters were either irritating or unbelievable or both. The plots were jumbled and had too many coincidences. The story quickly loses steam as well as logic. And the ending didn't make a bit of sense either. All around, a bad book.

Loved this book!! Kept me guessing the entire time and made me doubt everyone. I loved the characters and the authors writing style. Would def recommend to anyone looking for a good psychological thriller!

Okay, this one was a lot of fun.

I will admit that, at times, the twists, turns and lies got me a little confused – like virtual head spinning confused. But I was pleased that what started out as a rather standard domestic thriller ended up being a bit more than that.

I liked our main character – loved her daughter – and found myself suspicious of just about everyone else in the book.

The solution to everything was a little messy, but I still enjoyed it and finished the read very satisfied!

***The Vow is a psychological mystery that twists and turns as Amy attempts to learn what’s happened to the man she is supposed to marry. Her mental picture of Matt keeps changing as more is revealed by Matt’s employer, her friends and her daughter. The tension begins immediately and never lets up. Is Matt dead, with another woman or a sociopath? The story will keep readers guessing. I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book from NetGalley.

Rating: 3.5 🍷 🍷 🍷 !!!!!!!
Book: The Vow
(RELEASE DATE 9/7/21)
Author: Debbie Howells
Genre: Thrillers, Mystery, Suspense

The Vow started off really promising. I enjoyed the background story and the connection between the characters, as unrealistic as it was, lol. The level of suspense and mystery kept me engaged most of the story. I have to say I was a little let down with the ending. I wasn’t mad with the exact ending but just the lead up to it. I felt the power and thrill just kind of was let out like a balloon. Most of the story, I was on pins and needles then the last 20% was blah. Because of the suspense of the beginning and the backstory, I would recommend it. It was a quick read and really did enjoy the mystery and storyline.

Thank you to @NetGalley @AvonBooks for an advanced copy of @TheVow

This was my first time reading a book by Debbie Howells and I really enjoyed it. I liked the first person perspective from three different characters. Everyone was a suspect from the very beginning right through to the end! I loved the ending. Great writing and a great book! I will definitely recommend it!
