I always find this kind of book interesting, just to learn something new.
this book delievers that.
It gives you a bit of an understanding of what Bitcoin is and what it can be. If that is something interesting to you, go for it!

As someone who has at least had some prior introduction to Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency, I found Smart Bitches Buy Crypto to be mildly informative. The information shared isn't anything new that you couldn't find by researching a little yourself - if you are truly interested in crypto.

Aside from that, I found the frequent swearing to be unprofessional. Given that the book is likely to be picked up by women who are interested in investing, and not the average Jane, a more professional approach may have been better.

If you only want to know the very basics about Bitcoin, its an okay book to pick up - but if you want to get to the nitty gritty, then I'm sure there are plenty of websites and other books out there that will be a much better fit.

A quick read that sets out the basics of bitcoin. I'm not sure it does more than some of the best blogs out there do in a series of posts, but for someone starting from scratch it might get you interested, if the style suited the reader. However, there's a lot more to the basics than is outlined here, and to invest straight off the back of this might be a bit dangerous, particularly if it's your only investments. Style-wise, the book wasn't for me, and it's very US-centric, so not as relevant if you're not in the US. If I hadn't kindly been gifted the book I wouldn't have finished it for those reasons. Thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

As someone who had heard of bitcoin but had no clue what it was, how it arose or why I should pay attention to it, I found this book informative.

This book was base-line informative. It would be a good starting off place, if an investor had never started looking into bitcoin. I liked the information about more places to checkout for crypto information, it can be difficult knowing where to start. I would have liked more information about blockchain technology, this book is missing some foundational information explaining the uniqueness of Bitcoin to non-users.

I had heard the word Bitcoin and had a vague idea what it was and when I saw this book featured on Netgalley I became intrigued. This is definitely worth the read if you think you know what Bitcoin is but your not sure. I enjoyed this book and found it to be very informative.

I found "Smart Bitches Buy Bitcoin" very informative. The easy to read book guides the reader through what is Bitcoin, why it was created and what it is predicted to do. It was obvious that Branden LaNettle and Andrea Waltz a lot of time researching cryptocurrency. I feel I have a much better understanding after reading “Smart Bitches Buy Bitcoin.”
The title did not bother me but the expletives throughout the book seemed pointless. It might just be my age but I found it more as hitting a wall every time I came across it instead of it adding to the book. It makes it hard to give to my mother without going in and marking out all the F***.
Thank you Branden LaNettle, Andrea Waltz and Netgalley for giving me the opportunity to read and increase my knowledge of cryptocurrency.

Cryptocurrency is getting real big real fast. It has taken over watercooler conversations, family dinner conversations and even conversations that happen in the checkout lines. I love feeling empowered by knowing enough to discuss topics. First, I thought the title was cute. Second, I had more knowledge than I thought I would on the crypoworld. If you are offended by the title, look past it and give this a read! You will learn more and hey you may even become rich!

Very interesting read, having looked into Cryptocurrency I knew I wanted to read this book.

The fact that it’s full of expletives makes it even better to read!

OK, first things first... the use of the word 'bitches' didn't sit well with me, at all, but the authors explained they used it to describe an empowered, assertive woman and that we should think of a female wolf (not dog), hmmmm... unfortunately this makes me think of the film The Wolf of Wall Street which did not portray women as empowered or assertive!

Let's move on... My main message after having read this book - BUY IT AND READ IT! The book is full of useful facts, all presented in an engaging and fun way - yes, a book on finance which is actually enjoyable to read and easy to understand!

In my view understanding the basics of bitcoin (and the wider topic of personal finances) should be taught at school, as part of the general knowledge we all should have. Bitcoin is not going away and it may well be the key to our chance of true freedom and happiness.

"cutting coupons, canceling Netflix the day before it renews, and using the cheapest moisturizer at Walgreens are decent strategies but they are not enough"

Rather depressingly LaNette and Waltz explain that working in a traditional job and getting paid a salary just means that "every time your employer pays you in currency, that currency is like an ice cube that starts melting that very day. The longer you wait to spend it, the less it buys, because prices keep going up."

Bitcoin has historically outperformed other invenstment opportunities like stocks and commodities including gold. We have seen that Bitcoin has become the preference for Gen Xers and Millennials; but gold still remains the overall preference across all age groups.

The book include information on what Bitcoin is, how to get started with Bitcoin, some common terms including 'hodling' (yes that's the spelling!), as well as how to store your Bitcoin.

So, to follow up on the three things LaNette and Waltz hoped that they achieved with the book;

1. Yes, I am convinced the stock market is crashing and inflation is coming, and that I'll be left to fend for myself without real support from the authorities.
2. Yes, I am aware of Bitcoin and how it can provide a life raft.
3. Yes, sort of. I am considering buying Bitcoin, but the checkbook is not yet out (or should that be my bank transfer details?) as I am going to do some wider research into cryptocurrencies and the various buy options / exchange sites before jumping in.

Disclaimer: Please note that neither the authors, nor I are financial advisers, and if you do decide to invest, your investment may go down as well as up, and historic result is not a prediction of future developments. You get the point, do your research and proceed at your own risk!

"To say money and currency are the same thing because they have value, is to say apples and oranges are the same thing because they're both fruit".

It's somewhat ironic reading "Bitcoin is Godzilla" on a day where it's almost halved in price and the market is down 17%, yet the authors are clear: The market is volatile. Hold on.

I honestly don't think I've laughed this much in ages, especially not over a serious topic. Despite the impending doomsday predicted for the finance sector, the book is refreshing. It offers understanding for the low rates of female investors and encourages us to empower ourselves through an informal, friendly tone.

I like the underlying foundations of the book - encouraging women to get involved in financial opportunities through making informed decisions, whilst delivering a surface level understanding of cryptocurrency. The message is clear, we need to set our sights on freedom and remove ourselves from our obsession with escapism fuelled by our capitalist society. Do we really need another dress or is it just short-term gratification?

I was surprised by just how 'pro' Bitcoin the authors were, but I admired the transparency around issues such as energy use, 'shitcoins' and the male-dominated industry of investment. The book oozed nothing but facts, anecdotes and hilarious analogies emphasising the good vibes and was everything it advertised on the cover - a simple guide for smart bitches.

I sincerely look forward to reading the author's future works'.
