Another very creepy take by this author. I enjoyed it very much, but felt it hard to follow in places. The way the characters talked or it was written was confusing at times. A lot of "LOL and IRL.) That I personally didn't enjoy. I liked this book but enjoyed Hex much more.

I’m one of the people who adored Hex – largely because it was so creepy!

While Echo starts with a scene that’s extremely chilling and creepy, the rest of the book doesn’t maintain that feeling. It’s really a very different story and atmosphere than Hex and I sort of wish I had known that going in.

However, I still really enjoyed the read.

I won’t tell you anything at all about the nature of our really-bad-thing because it’s so utterly unique and I want you to be as surprised as I was. While it took me a minute to wrap my head around the concept, once I did, I was all in.

The best thing about the book is the relationship between Sam and Nick. I mean aside from the horrific deaths and heartbreak and pain and terror, these boys have one of the purest romances ever! I loved them and wanted them to end this book happily (and I won’t tell you if they do or don’t).

I ended this really glad I’d read it. It’s by far one of the most unique stories I’ve read and it’s the kind that stays with you long after that last page!
