I absolutely adore these characters. They are so funny, sexy and have so much heart.

Isadora and Devraj really know how to push each others buttons, and it is such a fun ride to watch them learn the trust and love one another.

Audiobook: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Narrators did a fantastic job, I really loved the male POV

Don't Hex and Drive is the second book in the Stay a Spell standalone series. When Isadora first meets Devraj, she wants nothing to do with him. Devraj accidentally hits her with his car while she was riding a bike so of course there are ill feelings. On top of that, they are opposite in many ways, the most important being that she is a witch and he is a vampire. But Devraj takes an immediate liking to Isadora and makes it clear that he wants her. He reels her into his life in different ways and next thing you know, she is falling for the vampire warrior.

The fact that Isadora and Devraj were from different worlds made for an intriguing story. Not only are they different types of supernaturals with different powers, they also have different lifestyles.
Isadora is grounded in her family and has roots where she is, whereas Devraj is a Bollywood movie star who also moonlights as a vampire who helps get rid of the bad guys. Isadora is resistant to their relationship at first because they are so different, but she soon realizes the opposites attract thing is really hot! They have fantastic chemistry and those steamy scenes were like fire!

I listened to this book and I love the narrators! Johanna Fairview and Aiden Snow narrated the first book as well and they are an awesome pairing. The way the do all the voices is perfection. I highly recommend that you listen to this book if you have the opportunity.

Pick up this book for a fun, steamy, and exciting opposites attract paranormal romance with a bit of mystery/suspense!

I’m new to the book narrator scene, and I’ve just learned that a gentleman named Aiden Snow is an extremely talented voice artist. When he said, “Chapter Two. Devraj” (literally the first time I heard him speak) I had to push pause and compose myself. “Holy sh#t” were my choice words before giggling to myself in the car. Do yourself a favor and start listening to any book he’s read. Lucky for us, he’s narrated both Wolf Gone Wild, and Don’t Hex and Drive by Juliette Cross. I’ll be circling back to Wolf Gone Wild shortly.

I loved this story for it’s moments with Isadora’s quirky sisters, and her slow growth from her mellow life upon meeting Devraj. The two of them literally meet by accident, caused by Devraj and his fancy car. Eventually they end up working together on a case of missing human women. The romantic tension builds between them quickly enough that we’re not kept waiting too long before they give in to each other. Let me tell you, reading about their sexual experiences was steamy enough. Listening to Aiden Snow read naughty words equals: steamy + spicy multiplied by fire. Wowza!

This audiobook is some ear candy!
Obviously I could go on and on about how much I LOVED listening to this book. The truth is, even without Aiden Snow, this whole series is gold. The witches are quirky and fun. They have the kind of sibling relationships that we all hope to have with our own siblings. The Vampire and Werewolf men of these books are just the right amount of beasty savage mixed with honor and respect. Devraj is so incredibly patient with Isadora. She is quite the introverted soul, and he didn’t rush her to open up to him. When she does, he appropriately worships her.

If you’re looking for a steamy romance with fun and relatable characters, start reading/listening to the “Stay a Spell” series by Juliette Cross.

I absolutely loved the audio of this book.

I have already read the story, which is also amazing.
But both the narrators do a fabulous job in bringing the characters to life. I love hearing their words, their conversations, the steamy scenes....!!!

Devraj and Isadora are FIRE together. And just to make it clear, no, the narrator does not do an Indian accent. As an Indian, I don't mind it at all. Devraj is centuries old and has traveled all over. NRIs lose their Indian accent in a few short decades. Devraj not having an Indian accent is entirely fine by me. Also, I'd rather not hear dirty talking in an Indian accent.

Highly recommend this book in audio format!!

Narrators same as WGW Aidan Snow, Johanna Fairview

***5 Stars***

And we have another great performance by the narrators!
I already loved this book (review below) but Aidan Snow and Johanna Fairview brought these amazing characters to life in every way possible and I could feel all that Izzy and Dev were going through as they danced around and towards each other while dealing with some serious issues going on in their world.

My eBook Review

***5 ‘Arugula’ Stars***

I have to say, if I hadn’t already been making grabby hands at this book, the opening line of the description would have hooked me because I totally get being bad at peopling ~ most will say I’m not, but sometimes peopling doesn’t go all that well ~ and I thoroughly enjoyed adorable awkwardness of Isadora as she collided with the charming and determined Devraj, as well as all the hijinks that always seems to surround the Savoie sisters and anyone who happens to find themselves in their orbit.

I adored Isadora and Devraj. Izzy is an introvert and shy and can be awkward in certain situations where any sort of peopling occurs, but she also has this inner strength that comes out when she feels strongly about something ~ whether it be about people or animals ~ and I couldn’t help but love watching her stubborn side come out to play. Dev is sweet, charming and playful. He’s also quite sneaky and determined and when all of that is combined with a protective streak a mile wide? Well, he’s quite lethal in every way.

Their journey to their HEA was all kinds of awkward, yet swoon worthy fun. I loved Dev’s determination to wiggle his way into Izzy’s world as much as I loved her determination to keep him at arms length or further. But the chemistry between them was undeniable and I loved watching as they both fell, hard, for each other.

I loved diving back into this world. NOLA is one of the places on my bucket list and considering all that is going on, this has been the best way to ‘visit’. The mystery/suspense was done well in this book. It was well thought out and executed and didn’t overshadow Dev and Izzy’s journey, but instead added to it. As for the cast of characters. I tend to have my favorites in any series, but here I’m pretty fascinated with all of them in equal measure, though I am crossing my toes that a certain Grim gets more page time as the series progresses. But as it stands, I loved getting to experience a little of the Jules/Ruben situation and cannot wait to get my hands on Violet and Nico’s book!

Listening to this audiobook was…everything.

When I read this book back in September of 2020, it WOWed me. Now after listening to it, I am blown away with how the amazingly talented narrators brought my favorite witch and vampire to life. If I hadn’t been in love with the fierce and powerful vampire, Devraj Kumar, I definitely would be after listening to this audiobook.

Aiden Snow’s velvety smooth voice does things… *sigh*…delicious things, to many parts of my body.

I thought this story was intoxicating before, but this…this audio rocked my socks off.

Storyline: 4.5 stars
Audiobook: 2.5 stars.

This was a reread and I really enjoyed revisiting their story and meeting all the characters again. They're all so fun and it's got some great steamy scenes.
However, I was distracted by the narrators and struggled to connect because of them. They're the same narrators as for Wolf Gone Wild which I don't really appreciate - I'd rather have new narrators for different characters. I loved the narrators for Wolf Gone Wild - they fit really well for the characters however I found it really off putting to have the same narrators in Don't Hex and Drive. I found it to be particularly an issue with Devraj who is described as having a subtle Indian accent but the male narrator made no effort to portray that. To me, he was great as Mateo but doesn't work as Devraj. It would have been good to have used an Indian narrator for an Indian character.
The story itself is still great but I didn't connect with the audiobook.

This was a fantastic audiobook! I was a little worried with Devraj and his accent that the narrator would not get it right and it take me out of the story but Aiden Snow did great! Johanna Fairview was once again fabulous! I love Isadora and Devraj's story so much! Everytime I read a Stay A Spell book it makes me want to visit New Orleans so bad, Juliette's description of everything is just amazing! I can't wait for the next audiobook!

This audiobook is absolutely fantastic!

Aiden Snow is amazing as Devraj. His voice is slow and sensual and the perfect tone of the man he is portraying.

I would like to give a standing ovation to Johanna Fairview. Right at the beginning of the book there is a scene where she has to voice all the sisters in once conversation really fast and I could tell the difference between each sister clear as day. It was amazing how she was able to set each woman's voice apart in it's own inflection and tone. And then she had to speak as Devraj with an accent! So well done. Bravo!

Once again Juliette's written a story that is a beautiful sensual romance with an amazing mystery plot woven into the same story. This audiobook is entertaining, well narrated and will have you on the edge of your seat.

Last year I had the privilege of reviewing Don't Hex and Drive by Juliette Cross in ebook form, and when I was offered the chance to review the audio, I couldn't say no (especially after the awesome performance in the first book, Wolf Gone Wild.)

Don't Hex and Drive is the paranormal romance story following witch, Isadora Savoie, and vampire, Devraj Kumar. When Devraj accidentally hits Isadora (on her bike) with his car, he's immediately contrite and unexpectedly attracted to the reclusive witch. In town to investigate the disappearance of young women from New Orleans' bars, Devraj finds himself seeking out Isadora as their paths cross during the investigation.

This is my second time reading the book and it was every bit as good as I remembered, and just as steamy. (Invest in a good fan.)

The audiobook is phenomenal. After the performances of Johanna Fairview and Aiden Snow in Wolf Gone Wild, I knew we would be in good hands. They perfectly capture the characters of Isadora and Devraj (and many of the side characters, too). Their performance is so good that it almost didn't feel like the same two narrators from the first book, but it was just as good, if not better.

The audio is a fantastic way to read this story, and will be released early in July.

Hearing my favorite book in the Stay a Spell series come to life is absolutely EVERYTHING. I've been waiting for Don't Hex and Drive to come out on audio ever since I heard the narrators in Wolf Gone Wild. Talk about an elevated listening experience when you have amazing narrators.

From the opposites attract, witch and a vampire aspects in this read, you really can't go wrong. And their banter to off the pages sizzling chemistry, I mean what's not to love about Isadora and Devraj. For being so different, they complement each other so well.

And don't even get me started on all the steammmmmmmm, Devraj is definitely more than all talk and I was here for it ;-)

This series is the perfect blend of paranormal and contemporary romance, whether you're already a fan or new to this genre, there's plenty to love. And all the recommendations for the audio!

I am so ready for more!

A ponderer with a passion for pansies and irrational fear of cars meets a beautiful Stygorn vampire with whiskey brown eyes and Bollywood perfection. Oh, what could go wrong? An *ass over teakettle introduction maybe?

Don't Hex and Drive by Juliette Cross has a cozy cottage/small-town vibe, yet the surroundings still elicit corners of danger. Devraj Kumar has come to town, at the behest of the ever-domineering Mateo, to help solve a growing number of missing girl cases. They are in need of help from the Savoie sisters. Isadora being Devraj's most sought-after sister.

It's a mixture of chemistry, longing, and mystery that makes Don't Hex and Drive my favorite type of read. It encompasses a sweetness yet, keeps the action running. Cross has such a beautiful way of conveying characters that come across as real. Even in a paranormal setting.

From the meet-cute to the amazingly 80's ending. I loved everything about this.

Isadora is the Savoi sister who prefers her gardens, greenhouse, and rescue dogs to peopling. And Devraj is a Bollywood actor who moves in next door with movie star good looks, fast cars, and swoon inducing flirtation skills. They end up working together to solve a mystery of girls going missing in the neighborhood, while both of them work on trying to dampen their flaming attraction and not end up with broken hearts.

I can not gush enough about this series! I am IN LOVE WITH IT! And it's been one of the highlights of my 2020 reading year. Juliette does sexy romantic comedy SO WELL while never, ever skimping on emotional connection, clever background plots, and steam.

I was honestly not sure how this couple would compare to my love for Evie and Mateo but I quickly was won over by the HEAT and longing between Isadora and Devraj!

This book is so much fun, with everything I want in a paranormal romance. A perfectly romantic and sexy read! Cannot wait for Witches Get Stitches! Summer 2021 can't come soon enough!

I love this book even more the second time around, this time as an audiobook. This is the second in Juliette Cross’s Stay a Spell series about the witchy Savoie sisters from New Orleans. Isadora Savoie, who’s special witch talent is a conduit (or a healer) teams up with Devraj Kumar, a Stygorn vampire (very powerful, enforcer amongst vampires) on the hunt to rescue some missing young women. The dual narrators allows you to fully experience the story from the point of view of each main character. I love hearing the male narrator, Aiden Snow, curse as Devraj. He just makes it sound sooo much dirtier!! And Johanna Fairview has a tremendous range of voices and does an excellent job as Isadora. Thanks to Podium Audio for the production of this series… I hope to eventually hear them all!!!

*I received an eARC of the audiobook from the author in exchange for an honest review.*

This time around I was even more excited for this book. The audio experience of Wolf Gone Wild had me pumped! Knowing that the same narrators would be back for Don't Hex and Drive, was a huge selling point. I just think they really bring a great experience to the table and I loved every second of it.

Isodora and Devraj are such opposites and when they come together it is a thing of beauty. They are so delightful in their banter and I love watching them overcome their differences to come together.

The Savoie sisters are a wild ride and you just have to jump on and hold on tight.

5/5 Stars
