What a wonderful book! The illustrations are beautiful and it's full of information about the coral reefs and the sea life that lives there. It makes learning fun and should be in every school library. If your child is interested in the ocean and all the creatures that call it home they will love this book. It would make a wonderful gift. Thank you Storey Publishing via NetGalley for the complimentary copy of this beautiful book. All opinions expressed are my own.

First thing I loved the graphics. They were captivating not for kids but adults as well. The book begins with identifying the importance of Coral Reefs. Then it introduces the fishes and plants that live in them. At the end it explains the problems we currently face and what we can do to help in our own way.

The books explains everything wonderfully for kids and keep their interest as well.

Packed full of clear, informative facts about coral reefs, this is a good book to include in classroom resources about oceans and the environment. The World of Coral Reefs gives an overview of the types of reefs, types of corals, reef-dwelling animals, and threats faced by reefs in easy to read text accompanied by beautiful, accurate illustrations.
The climate threat faced by the reefs today was discussed, and gave tips for how children can help make a difference to the global issue.
There was some lovely Hawaiian mythology included which broke up the more serious topics.
Aimed at upper primary school (years 3-6), this is a good resource for children starting to learn about oceans.

*Many thanks to Netgalley for providing a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review*

Thank you to NetGalley and Storey Publishing for this gorgeous and informative ARC. This non-fiction children’s book is brimming with information about our ocean’s coral reefs and the animals that make it their home. The illustrations were vivid and lush and the topic held the interest of my two ocean-loving children. I learned a great deal, myself, while reading this book. This is the perfect non-fiction read for children who are curious about the ocean and would like more in depth information rather than a cursory glance.

A big thank you to NetGalley and Storey Publishing, LLC for the ARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. This is a children's nonfiction book. It is beautifully illustrated, and very informative. It is probably to much information to take in at once. I was a bit overwhelmed myself. Very educational A hit for anyone who loves the ocean. 5 stars

A fantastic book for children about coral reefs. It went on to explain what coral does and what it looks like, as well as talked about animals that live down there too. Was really informative although there was a lot of information so I don't think a child would take it all in, in one go!
Beautiful illustrations that were very eye-catching.
Very informative book with great descriptions - where you can really imagine what it's like down at the bottom of the ocean!

3 stars - I liked it

This was a wonderful children’s book about coral reefs. While I am not a child I still found the book informative and fun to read. Alexandra Neonakis did a wonderful job with the artwork for this book. It was captivating, colorful, and worked extremely well with the text.

If you have children who are interested in the ocean, I highly recommend getting them this book.
