This story felt like it was on a precipice but instead of jumping it walked to safety & let down. The synopsis promised something that the book didn't quite deliver.

Thank you NetGalley for the eARC. This book had it all. Fun, drama, spanx and even porn. It made you laugh, made you cry. It was a good read. I enjoyed it.

I love the premise of 'How to get f#ucked'. I wanted the two characters to get together before they even met. I got absorbed in the story and finished it quickly. At first the writing was not my cup of tea, but I got lost in the story and stopped noticing the writing itself after a few chapters.

This book had such potential however I felt the middle to end fell flat. The whole relationship felt rushed. Everything seemed to happen over a short period of time and I felt the story and the characters deserved more.

I expected this to be full of sex and while there are some elements it's mostly talk. Our main characters don't engage in anything before marriage.

What did keep me guessing was whether this is based on a true story given the author's pseudonym and hints that are dropped. I freely admit to googling to see if there was anyone who fit the descriptions. No luck but a part of me likes to think it is true. An amazing true love story if it is.

I read this book on a hot summer day, ice tea in hand, and meant to only sit for an hour's break. Hours later, ice in tea long melted and supper still not started I pulled myself away from this story. It was so real. I could identify with the heroine in her frustrations of being hired for a particular, adult job, but being treated as the waiter/cleaner etc. because she was young and female. Pretty sure we've all been there. When she meets up for an interview with the Porn Star, sparks fly, he opens up to her and they begin their weird relationship. Which works wonderfully. Workplace jealousy jeopardizes them both, but they overcome them to move on into successful lives. A really fun book.

A very interesting story and one that turned out to be much better than I was expecting from the title. I received this book mainly because of the title which interested me.
Bailey the main character is working for a magazine and she herself is going after an interview with the top male porn star. Though she can be naive at times and at other times she is strong and fearless, which I can understand.
She lands the interview which surprises her and her boss. Yet she wants to do a bang-up job this being her first real big shot. Elijah the porn star is taken by her and of course, after a while, they start to date. This turns into many different problems for she is also a virgin but now going in person seeing them actually making a porn movie is not for her. Yet the author gives what it would be for her not to be in that world.
That really is what makes this story the difference between the two people and if they can finally come together even towards the end when she is betrayed by her editor when she trunks in her interview. Overall a good book with good characters.

This book was not what I expected. I felt it had such potential. The storyline just fell flat for me.

This one doesn't live up to the blurb. I couldn't get invested in Bailey at all. I liked Eli but he could have been fleshed out a lot more. There was little build up in the relationship. And I expected a lot more steam. It was just an okay read for me. There was a lot of missed potential here.

So like most everyone else I had high hopes for this book. A virgin and a porn star, what's not to love. Unfortunately this book was not what I was expecting. Bailey writes for a smutty magazine and puts a lot of value in her virginity (even though she doesn't want to be treated like something breakable!). She emphasizes numerous times how she's a virgin and not interested in sex and then she meets Eli. Things go from 0 to 100 real quick. First they're dating then he meets her mom then they're saying i love you. Pretty sure this is all within a month of meeting. Oh yeah and her mom was verbally and emotionally abusive but that's kind of glossed over.

Oh and btw they don't have sex until they're married and the very end.

Bailey is a writer for a somewhat smutty magazine. She's a pretty average girl, has some extra in her waist, no thigh gap, and no self esteem thanks to her mother. She get to interview a porn star, Elijah. They're both quirky and a little dorky and totally hit it off.
I really liked Bailey's internal monologue. It's everything I think most of us would be thinking while dealing with how to handle your man being a porn star. She's hilarious and looked that she pretty much dealt with things head on.
I wish there was more emotion and dialogue from Eli though. We didn't really see his side and how he felt that much. It was just a little too one sided. It was hard for me to see that he really cared for her.

This was such an interesting read. I loved the characters and the ride they went on. I think a lot of readers of romance would enjoy this book because it definitely has steam and I just enjoyed so much.

How To Get F#CKED by Ali Enne

What a fresh read! I was intrigued by the book's description of a virgin and a porn star. I didn't expect much, honestly. I expected the obligatory deflowering scene and some hearts and flowers. Upon opening the e-reading app, I found myself laughing out loud during the first several chapters. It felt so refreshing. The main character, I swear, took some of her internal monologue straight out of my head. I was also expecting myself to become bored with the read, but surprisingly, with the exception of one short period in the middle of the story, I was kept entertained, even delighted at times. For a first novel, this was a fast romance gem. Thank you for NetGalley for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for my honest review. Thank you to Ali Enne for the fun fast read. I'm still smiling.

This book was adorable. The blurb caught my interest, the plotline hooked me and the ending blew me away,
I really enjoyed the overall storyline. Even the blurb hooked me...I mean a pornstar and a virgin? It doesn't get more wild and interesting than that! While the characters were well written I feel like there was something missing, like they lacked some dynamic components. Bailey is a 24 year old virgin who coincidentally works for a sex magazine. She books an interview with the super famous pornstar Elijah and that's where their story begins. As they grow closer after the initial interview and eventually begin dating Eli gets the courage to quit porn entirely and focus on red carpet action movies. Baileys original article transforms into a full on story about her and Eli. Once out for editing her boss betrays her trust and almost ruins her relationship by drastically cutting and manipulating her article (total B move IMO) . Bailey gets her revenge by signing a deal to make her and Eli's story a book, a best selling book! I do think that this story felt slightly rushed and was missing some elements of their relationship that could have increased their dynamic.
Overall I enjoyed this book, their story was interesting. TBH - I really hope that this story is at least 50% true.

This novel was a surprising little treat! I was looking for a fun romance and with a tagline like, “A virgin, a porn star, a comedy” how could that NOT draw me in?

Bailey is so perfect in her imperfection. She is truly “every girl” with their insecurities and second guessing themselves. That being said, she is also strong and even if she doesn’t always feel confident, she definitely fakes it will until she is confident. She is after her story, an interview with a well-known porn star for her magazine

Eli is confident and secure yet still vulnerable. He knows that Bailey is not completely comfortable with the world he works in, but he does everything he can to make her feel special while helping her to navigate uncomfortable situations to really understand his life for her article.

Enne has created dynamic characters that grow and yet still remain true to themselves. They are real in their life experiences; difficult relationships, divorced or deceased parents, and growing up fast. This novel is part romance, part comedy, part drama…. with a little bit of porn thrown in for good measure! Not enough to make me uncomfortable but definitely enough to be HOT! I laughed out loud at some of the commentary Bailey had about herself and her self-image. I can identify with her struggles with her mother and her SPANX. I even cried in the final chapter. I couldn’t believe I had tears while reading the same novel that contained multiple penis cakes, porn stars, and bondage.

I recommend this book to anyone who wants to have ALL of the feels. If you are looking for something to make you laugh and cry but a little edgy too….. you know, a romance that is not the typical “card store movie”, this book will not disappoint.

Talk about opposites attract about a Virgin and the pornstar . A beautiful love story of falling in love with someone who society would frown upon but doing it with an open heart and mind.

Ah the virgin and the pornstar...
Go big or go home, right? If this isn't an epic losing virginity goal I'm not sure what is. It's not everyday that you're offered not only an opportunity to get a shot at an exclusive interview with one of the hottest and popular pornstars to further your career but also the shot with him personally. A double edged sword for some but Bailey can't fight the attraction of the man behind the hype. After getting Bailey to give them a try I found it hilarious at his choice of first dates but not that surprising. Will they make it? Will she lose it? Definitely a fun read to find out.

I... have some distinct mixed feelings about this book. Firstly, thank you to NetGalley and the author for the opportunity to read and review the ARC of this title. An honest review was not required but I'm providing it anyways.

What I liked: the behind-the-scenes look at the porn industry was fascinating. I still really don't understand how someone could view sex so clinically and business-like, basically totally unaffected by orgasming with another person, and yet be so romantic and vulnerable with their partner. It seems to me that those two personality traits could not truthfully coexist in the same person. Regardless, I liked Eli's frank outlook on his sexuality and his honesty about missing his coworkers (of all types) after his retirement from porn. I'm curious as to whether such a move (from triple-X to mainstream movie acting) is all that common and/or successful IRL? Would be interested to find out to be honest.

The steamy scenes were really good. I wish the entirety of Bailey and Eli's relationship had been as easy and natural as their relationship in bed.

What didn't work for me: the insta-attraction was just not believable. I could not understand how someone like Eli would be drawn to prickly, insecure, thousand-pounds-of-baggage Bailey. Speaking of Bailey, she was a HOT MESS. I mean, smoking crack at a party?! and the girl was constantly drinking (if not drunk). Girl, forget about washing your face, and skip straight to GETTING YOUR SHIT TOGETHER. Lay off the booze. Maybe go for a walk. Eat some real food. Get some fresh air! sigh. I guess I'm officially an Old Person. But it hurt me to watch Bailey making catastrophic decision after catastrophic decision. Eventually I just got irritated with her constant victimization attitude juxtaposed against her laziness and lack of proactiveness. She reamed her boss a new one for editing her article when she NEVER BOTHERED TO CHECK IT HERSELF! She was so irritated with Eli for not telling her the full story about an ex when she lied, repeatedly, to others about who and what Eli was to her. Real question, is actual lying less offensive than a lie of omission? I thought they were both bad, but no, apparently only Eli is in trouble. Actually, Bailey lied by omission to her mother by not coming clean about Eli's profession, making Eli feel as though Bailey was ashamed of him, but even that was forgiven. Eh. I don't appreciate hypocrisy because it makes me feel really disconnected to the character.

The book was a fun ride (pun intended) but I couldn't help feeling that Eli deserved better than Bailey.

This was a delicious romp that seriously blows other boy meets girl books out of the water! I figured how the book would likely go, but the author turned it all upside down. I found myself adoring Bailey and definitely identifying with her. I just need to find my Eli and all will be perfect! Thanks SO MUCH to the publisher and NetGalley for my free arc in exchange for my honest opinion. It was great!

It started off so good but idk! The insta attraction wasnt really it for me. I did appreciate a closer look into the porn industry tho. The chemistry just wasnt there for me
