One man, three women all who think he is the one. None of them have met him in person. A Facebook post brings them together. They want their money back. After a bizarre series of events one of them ends up dead. Gripping right till the end with a jaw dropping conclusion.

Oh My! I definitely was not expecting this!

Mandy Byatt, you knocked this one out of the park and I am so honored to have read and received Just Another Liar, prior to it's big release!

First and foremost, I love this cover, its captivating, its bright and its going to look great on my book shelf. However, the content is even better if that is even possible. This was an incredible debut and I can not rave anymore on how much I really enjoyed this book.

This is a book that will keep you in suspense the entire time. My attention was captivated very early on and I never lost focus. The short chapters kept my attention and made it easy to just continue going. I finished this novel in one sitting, it was that good.

This is the story of 3 women that decide to give online dating a shot. The only problem is, all 3 women have fallen in love with the same man . One will get a happy ending, one will end up dead.

If you are looking for a wild and suspenseful ride, this book is for you!

I am looking forward to seeing what Mandy Byatt, comes out with next! FIVE stars!

Just Another Liar started off with a bang! I was hooked and I was enjoying all the dual POV’s. I was shocked at all the catfishing and lies these women were falling for. But then the last 30% of this book rolled around. It lost me y’all. That ending had me all types of confused and then annoyed. This book started off with so much promise but the end was a letdown for me.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for my ARC.

In Just Another Liar, we follow three women who fall in love with the same man over an online dating site. All three are completely different, so they ask themselves, is David Kingfisher really the handsome, surgeon he claims to be, is he even real at all?

Once I read the blurb for Just Another Liar, I absolutely loved the premise. A catfishing psychological thriller? Yes please.

However, it fell a bit flat for me. I couldn’t really connect to the main characters, and felt myself questioning their actions and decisions throughout the book. The story felt a little clunky, jumping from one part to the next with little explanation. I also felt that the inclusion of sexual assault was not tackled well, with most of the main characters facing this throughout the book, with it only being dealt with seriously towards the end of the book.

Thank you NetGalley for early access ahead of the pub date of 20th January 2022.

e says he loves you.

He says you’re the only one.

He’s just another liar…

Three women love him. But he’s lying to them all.

Denise, Petra, and Anna all have their reasons for being alone.
But they’re not ready to share them.
David is the answer to all their problems.
But they’ve only met him online.
Each woman wants her happy ending.
But only one of them can get it.
One of these women will end up dead.
But which one? And will you ever work out who killed them?

OMG, this was a roller coaster into friends and online dating. This is a very psychological thriller. I had to read it all. If books had calories I gained ten pounds never stopping.READ it all. What a brilliant subject and the writer did it wonderfully. Now, I am on a diet, but feel it was worth everyword.

I enjoyed this book quite a bit. There are three main characters and lots of sinister side characters. My only criticism is that the number of characters can get confusing from time to time.

A good book to me is something that I'm excited to read and find the characters interesting. "Just Another Liar" fits that description. I also love thrillers with a twist and this book has it and it's not overly obvious.

Thanks for the advance review copy. I look forward to reading more books by this author.

Absolutely loved it. I’m not an internet dater but I have friends who are and I made them read it. It was just sublime. Well written and really good. I just don’t want to give it away but I love it when you hate a villain!

Okay I was uncertain about this at first and I couldn’t take to one of the main characters but I was absolutely won over by the end! Trying to figure out who this con artist is was so well done and I loved how all the pieces of evidence seen throughout the book fell into place. But that ending and the reveal!! I in no way saw that coming it was actually perfect and made sense. Just brilliant, I can’t wait to see more from this author

Thank you NetGalley and to the publishers and author for my copy of this book in return for a review

It was a good book highlighting the perils of online dating and strangers. Started off as slow burn but picked up speed near end. The ending has me on the fence and not sure if I liked it or not. The characters were an interesting mix, for me not too likeable most of time. Good story and enjoyable read.

Wow I absolutely loved Just Another Liar. It had me gripped from the description and had so many twists and turns I did not know where the story was going to end up and I definitely did not see that ending coming!
I highly recommend it.

Thank you to NetGalley & Mandy Byatt for allowing me to read this ARC in exchange for an honest review. I was giving up hope that all mystery/thrillers were no longer my cup of tea. However, I was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed this book. Three women caught up with David Kingfisher met on an online dating site. Three women duped and then ghosted by him. Lots of red herrings who he could be. I was totally taken off guard by the reveal. The ending left me a little confused, but that doesn't detract from the twists and turns leading up to the ending. Sometimes the writing was repetitive, such as the "tears caught in the back of her throat", but I still enjoyed the story overall.

Wow, just when I thought I was getting bored of thrillers! This one kept me hooked the entire way through.

At times, I even found myself feeling sick with fear and anxiety and rushing to find out what was going to happen.

When a book gives you flutters you know it’s a good book!

Highly recommend this thriller (coming from someone whose getting fed up with them being the same!) this one is very different and hits the spots.

It started well and i liked the ending but have to say the middle part annoyed me. There was quite a bit of repetition and the female characters were weak and very frustrating

What a twisty, twisted story this is! I was a little worried that it would have a YA/Chick-Lit vibe, but thankfully, it didn’t. If the shows “Web Of Lies” and “Catfish” combined, you’d come out with something pretty close to this book (and I like both those shows, so that’s a bonus for me).

Three women have met the same person on dating apps, a man named David Kingfisher. These three women seem to have nothing in common except him. Anna is a gorgeous woman, a thin and tanned school teacher who men can’t resist. Denise is more dowdy, an overweight bookkeeper who takes care of her ailing mother. Petra is an emaciated alcoholic, an anxious wreck trying desperately to save her marriage. All three of them are totally taken by this handsome surgeon giving them online attention.

After they are all stood up and ghosted multiple times by Dave, they find out about each other, and get together to get even. This man lied to them, took money from them, embarrassed them all … they have to find out who he is. All three women have different motives for finding David, but they will find him, one way or another.

I’m still deciding if I liked the ending of this. It wasn’t anything that I saw coming, but it also didn’t shock me. The story is really good, and a quick and easy read. I’m giving it 3.5 stars, rounded up because this is a debut novel and I think this author has it! Hopefully we’ll see more from her soon.

I appreciate a book can start off slow but unfortunately this was the case with 80% of this book and if I'm honest I didn't start enjoying it until the last 20% where things finally ramped up, which in my opinion isn't good enough. Although I felt sympathy with a couple of the characters and their situations, the majority of them were pretty unlikable and it was hard to really connect with any of them. Although I did think the ending was good and many elements I didn't see coming and were quite clever, it wasn't worth getting through the underwhelming majority of the novel.

Three women, all with things missing in their lives, turn to the Internet for romance. One has an alcohol problem and insecurities about her lack of a child, one can't get over her ex and one is overweight and a carer for her mum, hitting rock bottom when she sleeps with her elderly mother's boyfriend! They all fall for the same man, David Kingfisher, but who is he - and can they smoke him out if they join forces? A pacey thriller, well-written and intelligent.

3-star read
Denise, Petra & Anna have met David Kingfisher online – they have all chatted with him, exchanged messages and some photos, and some money too – thus begins the hunt for David Kingfisher, where past secrets are revealed.
This was a good read, fast paced after you get the hang of all the characters, and then their family members names – I found it a bit difficult to remember all the names initially!

A terrific story line, and while it was a slow burn to begin with it picked up pace at the end with a finale that completely surprised me. It was gripping with lots of twist and kept me turning the pages long into the night. This is one I would recommend if you are delving into the online dating scene, it could be very useful!
Thank you to Harper Collins and NetGalley for this early reading copy.

This is a good story with an interesting twist on the perils of internet dating and pretending to be someone that you are not.

Three very different women fall for a handsome man online who woos them and makes them feel adored and special. None of them meet him in person, however two hand over large quantities of money and one sends revealing photos of herself. The women are very different and the reasons they are looking for love are different too and yet they eventually meet and decide to find the man who has deceived them.

There are a few twists and turns with each of the women having their own story as well as the main one. The more we hear we see they are interwoven and the climax of the book was quite shocking.

Good thriller and an interesting read. Thanks to Netgalley, the publisher and the author for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review.
