I received a copy of this novel from the publisher via NetGalley.

1.5* rounded up. This reminded me of a tawdry soap opera: there was a lot of overwrought emotion and the plot read as if the author had been asked to stretch it out for a couple of episodes. Jay, the solicitor-protagonist, was immature and unlikeable: noting how much various characters weighed as an indication of their personality, and behaving entirely irrationally and then later both unprofessionally and foolishly.

Disappointing, although I see I am in a minority.

When Jay takes on a murder case, she has no idea how it is going to change her life. I absolutely could not put this down. An emotional rollercoaster as well as a thriller. I highly recommend this read

I Have Something to Tell You combines elements of mystery with a wild ride domestic thriller. Jessica is an attorney defending a man accused of murder. The stakes rise even more as her husband confesses a long kept secret. The book goes at a fast paced with lots of plot twists and what an ending! I'd recommend this book to anyone that loves a good, fast paced thriller.

Thank you to NetGalley, Harper 360 and Susan Lewis for this ARC.

Stress at work and stress at home are never a good combination. Jessica Wells finds herself in the middle of both and more in I Have Something to Tell You, a domestic thriller combined with classic mystery by best selling author Susan Lewis.

Jessica and her husband Tom are both lawyers. Jessica’s specialty is criminal defense and her newest client is Ed Blake, a country gentleman/architect/property developer. He’s accused of his wife’s murder and she’s intrigued by his story. If he didn’t kill his wife, he innocently ate dinner, watched TV and went to bed while his wife lay dead upstairs in the guest room. While Jessica prepares his defense, her husband confesses a secret he has kept from her for a long time. Has Jessica been lied to? And who is lying?

I Have Something to Tell You pulls you in from the first chapter and does not let go until the almost unbearable conclusion. All characters are strong and so well described that you would recognize them if they walked into a room. The plot twists keep you guessing and make you want a happy ending. 5 stars.

Thank yo to NetGalley, Harper 360 and Susan Lewis for this ARC.

Jessica Wells a big time lawyer has everything! A booming career, devoted, loving husband and the best family she could ask for!
When she takes on a new client.... That one client put everything at risk!
A man named Edward Blake! Who seemed to be a typical man.... Or a man who did nothing and watched tv while his wife was murdered upstairs?! Say what???? Is he protecting someone or is Blake guilty?
Jessica has tons of questions! While dealing with this complicated case and personal issues at home...
She walks through her front door and he utters those words no one wants to hear.
"Sit down.... We have to talk and I need to tell you something".....
Now she not only has to defend and fight for Edward Blake, but also the man she thought knew and trusted!
Her husband!

This was one of those books I couldn’t wait to finish because I had to know how it ended, but I was also devastated because I wanted to keep reading. Like a ride that you didn't want to get off of!
The mystery itself was complex and intricately plotted. As someone who reads a lot of mysteries, I am always delighted to find one that can surprise me.
The development of the characters was highly entertaining.
The story had it's share of twists and turns and kept me guessing until the final reveal.
The novel is perfectly paced to keep readers on their toes and frantically turning pages to see what happens next. I was completely absorbed from the first page.
Great, suspense, interesting, intriguing story and one I very much loved reading!

Thanks again NetGalley, Publisher and Author for the chance to read and review this amazing book!
