This book was inspirational, and tells the stories of some of Nashville's Rising Stars. When I first started reading the book, I wasn't sure what to expect, but what I got was stories of their choices, their mistakes, their stepping out of their comfort zone, why they wanted the life they have.
Each story, is different, and as Karina Michel Feld asked them questions, they answered them, it felt honest, and they wanted the reader to not only feel their passion, but the reason why they chose the path they did. It wasn't like an interview, it was more like, they wanted to be honest, let their passion come through, and they seemed down to earth, just wanting to live the life they were given.
I received an ARC from Authority Magazine Press through NetGalley.

I really enjoyed reading about these up and coming stars. Some I had heard of and some I have not. I listened to some of them on you-tube and will pay more attention to their careers.

Always looking for new stars to listen to. Thanks for letting me read your book. Really enjoyed getting to know them better.

Thank you NetGalley and Karina Michel Feld for the copy of Nashville’s Rising Stars. This is my personal review.
I really enjoyed this book a lot. We all have heard the stories of the well-known Nashville stars and to read about the ones that are working their way up was fascinating.
The author did a good job of letting us see what the newcomers are going thru to make it to the top. Some will be names that we will all recognize while others may not make it. Getting that peek into the world they live in was a journey to read about and feel the things they all must endure.
Thank you for giving us a very enjoyable book.

I've been a Music journalist for over 30 years and "country" in it's various forms is a major part of my interest. If not for COVID I'd be in Nashville next week for the Americana Music Conference and my annual visit to see friends at the Grand Ole Opry.

This book of interviews was apparently compiled in 2020 . Published on October 2021. I looked at the list of interviewees and recognized none. So obviously they are still "rising". The photos are standard Publicity photos and there are no lyrics to any of the songs they may have written (Not all stars WRITE). But I saw this as a collection of what are called on-sheets (prepared by PR folks). So While I scanned though it, I didn't get captured.
This may be for others but, honestly, not for me.
