A sweet Christmas novel which continues the beloved Evergreen series, featuring characters from the previous book/movie series. While I enjoyed being back in this “world” for me this wasn’t my favourite of the series. I didn’t love these characters as much as I have the previous main characters and some of the descriptive details in this one felt a little too much. I alternated between the ebook and the audio and think I definitely preferred the ebook for this one. A sweet Christmas story but not one that I’d likely reread again next holiday season.

I have honestly loved each book in the series as well as the corresponding Hallmark movies. This one was slow for me and didn’t really have the spark that most of the other ones have. I don’t know if it is because the love story was already there to begin with and didn’t need developed or if it was something else but I definitely did not enjoy this one as much as the others. This is not to say you might not enjoy it, but the excitement level just wasn’t there.

I love watching Hallmark Christmas movies and reading this book gave me the same feelings I have when watching those movies. This book was cozy and delightful.

This was such a cute, quick Christmas read! I loved the characters and all of the family/friends. Hallmark movies are my favorites, but this was my first time reading one.

"Christmas in Evergreen: Bells are Ringing" continues the story of friends and romance, set in the small town of Evergreen. The story is a sweet tale set at Christmas time, featuring the magical snow globe that mysteriously helps people find their dearest wishes and dreams. Readers who are familiar with this Hallmark storyline will recognize characters from earlier novels set in Evergreen. The number of characters introduced in this story can be overwhelming to readers who have not read the others in the series. The story contains a lot of detail to help the reader visualize all the scenes, and sometimes it seems like too much detail, almost like reading the stage set directions and prompts. However, this story is still worth a read for a happy Christmas feeling.

Christmas in Evergreen stories represent my idea of the perfect Christmas story: sweet but not too sugary, festive and entertaining.
This one is no exception as I thoroughly enjoyed and loved it.

Christmas in Evergreen: Bells are Ringing begins for Hannah is an extremely busy young lady who has lived in Evergreen all her life. A Christmas story I found it hard to get into for the first few chapters it seemed to be slow to start. A slow story about the relationship between Hannah and Elliot and other families. I was not really moved emotionally as I normally do with Christmas romance stories.

A Hallmark Christmas story filled with all the cheesy romance. Looking for a Hallmark movie in book form? Look no further. Give this book a read

I have to admit, there's a chance I did this one to myself. Last year, I got the chance to read the previous part in the Christmas in Evergreen-series, and I enjoyed it, but I didn't quite love it, you know. At that point, I even mentioned "so cliches and over the top romance are basically guaranteed. (Hannah and Elliot, I’m looking at you)." So, knowing this book zoomed in on exactly those characters... Well, you know - I was hopeful, but cautious.
Turns out that the level of "movie-likeness" was, somehow, even more elevated in this book. While that did lead to even more of a holiday-spirit, it also resulted in quite a few "random" scenes that didn't really seem linked to the story as a whole, but I could absolutely imagine as being part of a movie-montage. Somehow, though, that didn't annoy me as much as I thought it would - which sounds like a really negative thing, I realise, but it's honestly not. It's just that I was kind of anticipating a more negative experience because of that? As a whole, though, this story pleasantly surprised me - and it lent itself to a pretty nice reading experience!

I read this book as a stand-alone but it quickly became clear to me that the charm relies on this town and characters as a joint unit and series. The cozy, small town and charming feel was clear and abundant. However if you do not have familiarity with Evergreen from the books or films, then you may find yourself overwhelmed like I was with all the characters!

I’d recommend reading the books in order to avoid feeling disconnected like I did. However this book was full of holiday charm!!

Hannah feels like she's lost. She feels like everyone has a place in Evergreen but she just doesn't have a purpose. She finds her place in the Evergreen museum, but now she's questioning the rest of her life and if it fits with the new place she found for herself.

Unfortunately, this one just missed the mark for me. I just feel like the more I read of this series, the more I feel like it doesn't have the same feeling as the early books. Also, the characters in the previous books have moved away just seems so inauthentic. Like that was what their books were about. I just didn't click with this one. I hope that if this series continues, it gets back to its roots.

This was a lovely visit back to the town of Evergreen, Vermont. The main characters in this story are Hannah and Elliot, childhood friends whose romance began during the previous book (Christmas in Evergreen:Tidings of Joy). Working together fixing the town's magic snow-globe made them look at each other as more than friends. A year later, we see where their relationship stands. A secondary plot involves the wedding preparations for Hannah's brother, Thomas, and Michelle, the mayor.

I liked Hannah, but she really needed to learn how to use the word "no." Born and raised in Evergreen, the town plays a considerable part in her identity. Her life is jam-packed with activities, from her job at the inn to leading the choir to jumping in when anyone in town needs help, so she doesn't have a spare minute in her day, even for Elliot. However, there are times when she feels that she's looking for something that is truly hers. She believes she's found it when the town starts a Christmas museum in the old hat factory until one of the building's owners threatens to shut it down.

Elliot moved to Evergreen with his mother when he was ten years old after his parents' divorce. He and Hannah became best friends immediately, and their friendship grew stronger over the years. Elliot worked for her father in his repair shop as a teen and bought it from Hannah and Thomas after their parents' deaths. The shop remains a town institution and does even better under Elliot's management, but he finds himself wishing for more. His goal of expanding the business joins with his dreams of a future with Hannah, but what will she think of it?

Hannah and Elliot have been dating for a year, but there isn't much forward movement in their relationship. Not much of a surprise, considering Hannah is constantly going from one commitment to the next. Nearly every time we see them together, Hannah breezes through on her way to somewhere else, and Elliot just smiles and waves her on. I got the occasional vibe of resentment from him that she has no time for him, but he never says anything to her about it.

We soon find out that Elliot plans to open a new store in the city, taking Hannah and moving there. He misses the city life he remembers from his childhood and wants to make his mark with something that's all his. Unfortunately, Elliot avoided talking to Hannah about any of it, sensing that it would be a hard sell. Meanwhile, Hannah goes on about her days believing that everything is hunky-dory between her and Elliot. It comes as quite a shock when she hears of his plans from someone else. They both frustrated me because they STILL didn't talk about it for the longest time. Hannah wonders if Elliot truly knows her or loves her if he thinks she'd be happy away from Evergreen. I ached for them both when they finally confronted the issue and realized their dreams lay in different directions. I wasn't sure how they would find their way back to each other. However, the magic of Evergreen at Christmas comes through and opens their eyes to what is essential. I admit I saw Elliot's solution to the new store coming fairly early in the book.

The biggest thing I noticed about Hannah and Elliot's relationship was that I never felt any "zing" between them. If they kissed at all, it made no impression on me. Other "clean" romances I have read have at least made me feel that the couple had some desire for each other.

I did enjoy being back in Evergreen during the Christmas season. I loved catching up with characters from previous books. In this book, Michelle is deep in planning her upcoming wedding to Thomas while still handling her mayoral duties. The actual event begins to look questionable when Thomas's return to town is delayed by bad weather. I ached for both as the delays kept piling up. I loved that Michelle and Thomas faced their possible disappointment by remembering that their love was more important than the event. Michelle also faces some family tensions when her dad shows up with a girlfriend. I'd love to visit the Kringle Kitchen for some eggnog waffles, though I think I'd stay away from the peppermint mocha eggnog. I smiled at seeing the teenager David enjoying his job there and his obvious culinary bent.

I loved the idea of the Christmas museum and using a previously abandoned building for it. I enjoyed Hannah's many ideas for displays and how she involved the entire town. I ached for her when Mr. Cooper showed up and pitched a fit about how the old factory was used. Nothing she did made a difference to his attitude. Saving the museum looked like an impossible dream. At the end, the matter was tied up in a nice neat bow, and Evergreen had another feather in its Christmas hat.

I love the Hallmark movie series Christmas in Evergreen and this latest chapter is so good. Michelle and Thomas are getting married and the date is getting closer. Elliot and Hanna have a budding new romance, and so many new opportunities await them. Fall more in love with your favorite characters this Christmas season as you go with them through this wonderful little town of Evergreen and see what new turns life has for each of them.

The place to be for Christmas is Evergreen. The location is beautiful and the characters in the story are so easy to connect with for me. I loved the storyline, and this is exactly what I want from Hallmark.
Hannah and Elliot are a perfect fit, but things get in the way of true happiness. You will have to read this beautiful book to find out how things turn out.

I really really loved this book, and I loved it even more because I had already seen the movie (which I love) and the book was able to expand more on that and add even more depth to the story and characters. How Hannah is finally able to find her place in the town is such a good story! And I love the addition of the wedding story too.

Another in the Christmas in evergreen series and what a lovely Christmas read this is. Can be read as a standalone as well. Great read, characters and settings, well worth 5 stars

This is another delightful story in the Evergreen franchise. I did enjoy this book and do recommend it to those who love this genre.
